Information, support, hand holding, tea, sympathy and a hell of a lot of combined knowledge - all welcome as we try to make sense of the RMC roller coaster of tests, NHS admin, heart ache and (hopefully) happy endings!
Please start with a recap of your stats :)

Brummie it is so unfair when you just want it to be over to move on and have some closure. I would echo others and ask for some blood tests to or a scan just in case there's anything retained.

I've never had that problem, quite the opposite, I mostly had negative or growing fainter tests before I MC'd. Didn't test but did have a scan after haemorrhage to check it had all gone.

longestlurkerever · 21/01/2015 08:05

Handhold twilight. Thinking of you x

tannyLoo · 21/01/2015 08:18

Jady thank you! Its a screwy time, being pregnant after our histories, and it must have been quite an afternoon reading through my neuroses!

Mr Walker did order a full set of blood tests, which I had done at RUH, and we both had chromosomal tests after MC5. I also had a scan at some point, but I can't remember now when that was Blush

Unfortunately, as others have said, unless something shows with their standard tests, the NHS line is very much "we don't know the cause, probably bad luck" and send you away to take aspirin and folic acid. When that works it's great, although you don't want us to get onto the aspirin debate again! but many of us are a bit jaded by this line. Seems a bit cheap and cheerful...

It might be worth mentioning the Coventry protocol to Mr Walker. He likes Prof Quenby, thinks it's early in their research, but does recognise that the heparin and progesterone combo is beneficial.

And counting how exciting to be in receipt of mystery capsules. You sound really positive, which is great!

TinyTear · 21/01/2015 08:29

Good luck twilight!!

Counting, oooo mystery tablets! Good luck. I have under active thyroid so am on tablets daily for life...

Boozle80 · 21/01/2015 08:39

Sorry for the late jump in - St Mary's in Manchester did a lining check as part of routine following a miscarriage - I was amazed it was just offered!
They've just closed DD school so snow day for us - my head is less than impressed when I rang up and told her I won't be in...

Flower29 · 21/01/2015 08:41

Good luck this morning twilight.
Sorry it's dragging on brummie, last time I bled for 6 weeks after medical management in sep so know how awful it is to drag on. Must be really frustrating too having to wait for tests until the hcg clears.

longestlurkerever · 21/01/2015 08:41

Ooh - snow day boozle - best days of the year! Don't get many of them these days though now I live darn sarf. Dd hasn't seen any snow since she was 1 and unimpressed with the cold. She is desperate for some now.

twilightstruggle · 21/01/2015 08:45

There now bloody early Feel calmer. Thanks for the hand holds! X

Brummiegirl15 · 21/01/2015 08:50

bakingtins · 21/01/2015 08:56

Thinking of you twilight good luck.

twilightstruggle · 21/01/2015 09:09

Bless you Baking, for still caring about others despite what's going on for you.

Marchgirl · 21/01/2015 09:10

Good luck twilight x

twilightstruggle · 21/01/2015 09:15

Sorry, I've realised that sentiment goes for all of you - I hope you know what I meant.

Flen · 21/01/2015 09:21

brummie mine was still positive about 25 days post ERPC, at which point I called my EPU and they told me to come in for a scan straight away. I had a tiny bit of retained tissue, which resolved itself within a week. It might be worth calling them once you reach 3 weeks and still positive to see what they say. (It's brilliant that you get tested immediately post-negative test, we had to wait 6 weeks post negative test!)

I have been fretting about ovulating! Am CD 21 now, and my temp has only just gone up this morning. OH and I have dtd all over CD 13-19, but didn't yesterday and now I am thinking that could have been O day. Cycles post mc are WEIRDY BEARDY.

baking I echo what everyone else has said - you have been so incredibly supportive to so many of us, we are always here for a hand hold.

Flen · 21/01/2015 09:24

Bugger, missed a whole load of posts, page didn't refresh...

twilight hope it goes well today, am crossing fingers...

counting that is great that they have identified that and mystery pills sound exciting! Sorry things are tough between you and DH, this can be so hard on relationships...

Marchgirl · 21/01/2015 09:26

Brummie. Might be worth asking your epu about the positive test in case they want to take bloods or scan you again, which at least would put your mind at rest. I went back for scan/bloods this time about 18 days post mc as I'd started heavy bleeding again. Hcg was still 100 although no tissue seen on scan. They said there probably was something retained although they wouldn't do anything unless infection started. Test was negative within a week after that.

Really hope it goes down soon. What tests are you using? Maybe you'd be negative on a less sensitive one? (I know that's sort of cheating but hey ho)

Thinking of you baking. Glad you've found a fb group that sounds supportive. don't feel like you can't speak to us on here too. You've been such a great support to so many on here that is time you leaned on us if you want to.

Catlover2014 · 21/01/2015 09:54

Sending hugs to the most lovely baking. Hope the FB group give you lots of support. We're all here for you too.

Good luck for the scan twilight, keeping everything crossed for you.

Brummie my pregnancy tests were still faint positive for three weeks after my ERPC. It can take time but agree with the others that a scan might be a good idea to put your mind at rest. Glad you're asking for some more time off work. There is no point forcing yourself to go back when you're not ready. If you ever want to meet for a coffee and a chat we can, I live in south staffs so not far from you!

twilightstruggle · 21/01/2015 09:55

5+6. Saw a sac but not much else. No hb seen, but she said my uterus was tilted making it hard to see which alongside it being early may account for that. Waiting for Doc now. It's kind of what I was expecting so not feeling too bad!

twilightstruggle · 21/01/2015 09:57

Which means I conceived on Christmas Day Smile

TinyTear · 21/01/2015 10:08

Twilight, i didn't see a HB at 5+6 with this one, as far as I can recalll... But I got my clexane after that scan which was the main thing... Are you going to try for it?

Flower29 · 21/01/2015 10:15

Hope you're not waiting long for the Dr. From what I've read it seems quite unusual to see a hb this early. Did they say whether everything looked on track? Woooo get you for having Christmas day sex, ha ha! Wink
