Welcome everyone, pull up a chair! A thread for anyone who has suffered multiple miscarriages and is in need of company, information, moral support, tea or sympathy.

Can I suggest we start page 1 with a recap of where we are all up to, because my fuddled head can't keep track?

Hi everyone. Sorry for those of you in awful knicker checking, symptom fear stage. It's so hard isn't it. Loss of innocence is totally the right way to describe it...welcome bobsmum and hope you get all the tests done with no further hassles. I do think many GPs just don't know anything about this so try to fob off. nearly surely you can have scans? I would just contact the EPU directly. Not sure where you are but some have walk in services or you can self refer.

bakingtins · 06/01/2014 21:37

Waves to tiny missed your post earlier but good to see you!

DownstairsMixUp · 06/01/2014 21:39

nearly I think I'm nearly 6 weeks if i go my LMP to, not really sure. Are you going to try ring the epu direct and ask? I found the number for mine but not sure if i can just call! Super tired like you :-) How's your appetite? I find i want to eat all the time!

LateBloomer414 · 06/01/2014 22:36

In bed for an hour but I can't sleep: awful case of thrush and my boobs are so sore. AF due on Friday so I'm secretly hopeful these are early pg symptoms but I'm a realist and I know I probably won't be that lucky. Thought 2014 was gonna be a better year ?!?!?!?? Confused

squizita · 07/01/2014 10:06

Late hopefully it is symptoms! But sympathy for the discomfort all the same. :)

Downstairs and nearly if you cannot call the EPU direct, sometimes if you go via a 'drop in' (the out of hours not-quite-A&E) they give you a ticket to sit and wait for a gap in morning scans.

I am debating my symptoms as per usual. The problem is as all my losses (bar the MMC) are about 6 weeks, I have very little experience of what is a bad sign and what is a good sign. Confused I have some but am only 4+6 so my terror at 'not enough symptom' (sore boobs, off some foods, tired, hard poo TMI) might actually just be the process being early on.
In other news: got the hang of the big syringe! :) I am thinning ALLL THE BLOODS!

nearlyreadytopop · 07/01/2014 11:20

I now have an epu appointment tomorrow morning. I think im six weeks. Should they see a hb at 6 weeks?

TinyTear · 07/01/2014 11:38

Nearly I saw a HB with my DD at 6+1

squizita · 07/01/2014 11:39

nearly not always, I've been told. 7-8 weeks they start worrying, but 5-6 weeks implantation and whether the sperm and egg met right off can make LOTS of difference. Hope that's reassuring!

squizita · 07/01/2014 11:42

... sorry, just thinking from the no-innocence-club angle (i.e. that I would be panicking if not 'textbook') - based on what I've read in books/on forums and what the gynie told me.

bakingtins · 07/01/2014 11:47

I agree with Squiz they expect a HB to develop between 6 and 7 weeks, so if you see one that's fab, but if you don't at 6 weeks it's not necessarily a problem and you must not stress about it That's an order. Wink
Good luck for your scan nearly

LateBloomer414 · 07/01/2014 12:09

Good luck Nearly, I know how anxious you must be at this moments.
Having a minor bleed as just discovered on my visit to the loo. A few days early if AF... or the start of something awful again. Thinking I should POAS tomorrow AM to be sure.Confused

LateBloomer414 · 07/01/2014 12:12

And Squiz thank you for the sympathy! It's so uncomfortable! You seem to be having a mental time of it, I'm sorry you are so anxious. Fx for painless injections and textbook perfect scans.

squizita · 07/01/2014 13:17

Late FX for you! MIGHT WELL be implantation?? I had a little bleed a few days before AF was due, 5-8 days after DTD (including all days) and it was a BFP in the end. Just a bit of a drip but lasted 24hr+ so thought I was out of the game. Also I POAS 3 times and got a BFP only on the last one, so unless AF visits properly do try after a couple more days! FX for you!

As for my moaning ... It's entirely my own fault, I am just being mental! Just the usual lost-innocence BS but x100, if only madness were an actual symptom! Grin

bakingtins · 07/01/2014 13:41

I think madness is an actual symptom. Wink

nearlyreadytopop · 07/01/2014 14:19

thanks squiz and baking I trying very hard to be calm but the crazy is starting to get outGrin I was thinking about what I want to ask tomorrow and I never thought I would say 'how does my cervix look?' Grin

Is there any point asking for a swab for infections? I don't have any symptoms but just incase
late everything crossed for tomorrow

Bobsmum1 · 07/01/2014 15:29

Good luck nearly and fx late
I know everyone is different squiz but if it helps at all, my pg symptoms (throwing up constantly) didn't really kick in until around 8 weeks. Hope thats a bit reassuring.

Notgivingup1 · 07/01/2014 17:35

Me too. Never had full on symptoms until about 6+ weeks. Oh to just be excited...how I envy those people! And I agree with baking madness is a symptom so I would see that as the hormones kicking in nicely. Fx late and good luck nearly for tomorrow. I never saw a hb at 6 weeks and they were always very relaxed about that. I am just waiting for acupuncture which I hope will chill me out a bit. Been having horrible few days where I seem to have convinced myself I am never going to have a baby. Not sure why I feel so bleugh and need to snap out of it!

LateBloomer414 · 07/01/2014 20:21

Like your name says: not giving up. I think that's the motto for 2014. Not really bleeding now- just a tinge of pink now. I'm not sure how I'm feeling to be honest- just feel kind of matter of fact about things till I know for sure. I have the stick prepped on the counter in the bathroom awaiting my morning pee. I desperately want this to be a BFP but am so petrified of it all going tits up again. St Mary's appt on the 14th for bloods results- I guess that's good timing. Squiz thanks for the tip on the repeat job on the sticks - I will see what happens tomorrow and proceed accordingly....

squizita · 07/01/2014 20:28

Not I've had those awful days too. Hope you feel better soon, and the acupuncture works well for you.

Late good luck!

In totally unrelated irritation, today at work I got bitten by insects! Grr. Little mites I think as pigeons sometimes get in the roof space of my office. At least it's taken me mind off me constipation lol!

squizita · 07/01/2014 20:30

... Not saying anything here is 'irritation' sorry i meant different to my own usual whines about poo and cm lol.

LateBloomer414 · 07/01/2014 20:56

MC = epic irritation!

Notgivingup1 · 07/01/2014 21:02

Ha ha. Wonderful the distractions you appreciate squiz. Pigeon midges sound delightful! Good luck late will keep fx for you. Thanks for your positive vibes. Feel better after acupuncture - sure she re-wires my brain. She specialises in fertility and agrees I need to get progesterone checked cos of my v light periods and slightly odd cycles since my last MC so going to do that. In the meantime st Mary's said they will see me for a review appt and look into it if my GP requests it as I contacted them too. So...we'll see but at least tonight I feel like I am getting somewhere. Thanks again everyone for allowing me to rant

Hey Not, I've been taking some quack medicine from Holland and Barrett and some supplements which seem to have really boosted my cycle and af. I really don't know if it's just placebo effects or what, but they are meant to regulate and stimulate production of oestrogen.

At the moment I take maca root, pomegranate extract, royal jelly, omega complex, vit b complex, vit c, folic acid and a pregnancy multivitamin. I have no idea what has made the difference, but I feel better all over with more energy and a really nice four day gusher (soz TMI).

I found them by googling low oestrogen.

May be worth a look if you don't mind that sort of thing!
