Utrogestan capsules - supply issues

I can't find these anywhere, one Boots said they might get some end of November. I need to try and talk to my GP again but does anyone know of an alternative, or what happens if you stop taking them? I have been on oestrogel, about to switch to patches which I can get

Hi JustBecause, I don’t suppose you still have any spare tablets that you wouldn’t mind sending me? I’m have a nightmare getting them at the moment and have been ‘cold Turkey’ (and not the Christmas kind!) for over a week and feeling very rough. Thank you x

Does anyone have any update on the supply issues of this? Every pharmacist I ask now pretty much laughs!!

They need to contact their wholesalers rather than laughing.
Many pharmacies stick with one wholesaler when in fact there are several they can buy from.

Besins said that supplies would be in the system from 2 Jan. That's 10 days ago, but bear in mind a lot of the system was shut down with transport issues and holidays until this week, after Xmas.

Has your pharmacy got an order in for it?

I spoke to someone at Besin yesterday and they said pharmacies shd be able to order from today/tomorrow for delivery next week. Maybe try calling a local pharmacy tomorrow

I can’t find any Utrogestan 100mg capsules anywhere within 20 mile radius I’m the south and I’m gutted as I’ve only been on them 3 months and they have really helped me, I don’t know what to do 😩

I managed to get a 3 month supply at Boots in London yesterday. They’d had a delivery the day before but were almost out. I called and spoke to Besin Healthcare Thursday to find out when pharmacies would be able to order again and they said end of last week so maybe call them and check for your area

Finally......I have my 3 months supply.

I also can't find any utrogestan anywhere (W Mids) and the Boots prescription finder seems to be down, which I'm miffed about as it was a llfeline when hunting down oestrogel last year.

I a supply of the tablets and gel (have switched back on to patches).

Prescription finder doesn't work for me when i search for utrogestan - I just get an error message.

I think it's just offline at the minute. Not working for me either but it does work I have used it recently so hopefully it will come online again soon.

It doesn't seem to work for Utrogestan but does work for other meds!

You can search for progesterone 100mg capsules which is the generic for Utogesteron.

Just wanted to give my thanks to Ineverpromisedyouarosegarden regarding the tip on searching for Utrogestan. All my local pharmacies are out of stock and couldn't figure out the Boots search until today, and I managed to get some supply by taking a bus ride (the joy of living in London).

@safetyzone You are welcome. The supply issues with HRT have been ongoing for a long time. Hoping it ends soon.

Yes please if you still have spare Utrogestan capsules. Please, please, please! I’m unable to get hold of any and am getting desperate! I’d felt human at last whilst taking them xxx

I just managed to buy some Utrogestan from The Independent Pharmacy as my surgery cannot get them. I tried Superdrug but they said out of stock. Annoying to have to pay but seems it's the only way at the moment.
