... we should carry sandwich boards or placards with our MN name on the front and our real name on the back

PlumBumMum · 08/06/2010 10:39

i wonder if any of us will know each other already >

TakeLovingChances · 08/06/2010 11:32

Plum - I'm also a bit scared/curious/excited in case that happens too!

Tee2072 · 08/06/2010 12:47

Well, I don't know anyone in NI with children, so I doubt I know any of you!

booyhoo · 08/06/2010 20:12

ooh yay, it's actually happening.

ok correct me if i am wrong.

25th june 12 noon onwards botanic gardens? i' have never been there i shall have to get directions from little sis.

i will have two blondey boys with me, almost 5 with glasses and a 1 year old (he will be the one trying to steal food off you all)

i too wonder if i will know anyone. doubt it, know one knows me.

Mousey84 · 08/06/2010 20:25

Woohoo! Ive only got one toddler on 25th, so I should be able to make it

Boo - Yup, Ive picked it up as meeting in the coffee shop in ulster museum, at noon on 25th june. And bring a picnic - fruit shoots and sausage rolls?? ;)

Tee2072 · 08/06/2010 20:31

I thought we were meeting outside unless it was raining, then we'd meet in the coffee shop? There is a lawn by the coffee shop.

booyhoo · 08/06/2010 20:34

ok he lawn by the coffe shop at ulster museum?

Tee2072 · 09/06/2010 06:47

DUH! I do know dingdong...man I'm an idiot.

Yes, lawn by coffee shop at Ulster Museum.

dingdong3 · 09/06/2010 07:01

Yes.....on the lawn! (unless raining) Me with the loud top and Tee with the loudspeaker....you won't be able to miss us

iamfabregasted · 09/06/2010 08:26

LittleMissSnowShine · 09/06/2010 11:18

ha ha - was just browsing the mumsnet local boards cos i've about 10 weeks to go til i'm due (first timer!) and starting to worry about the real possibility of going stir crazy being off work with a baby to look after all day!!

hope meet up goes well and that youse get loads more planned. i only live 10 mins walk from Botanic Gardens so even though I'm not technically a mum yet (?) maybe i'll have a wee dander past and try and crash your meet up

PlumBumMum · 09/06/2010 11:23

LittleMissSnowShine you are welcome to come along and make me very broody with your bump

booyhoo · 09/06/2010 11:27

ha, "woop woop"

dingdong3 · 09/06/2010 13:16

Yes, LittleMissSnowShine....we want to see your bump! Please come along and make me v envious and broody

LittleMissSnowShine · 09/06/2010 15:39

I hope the envy isn't because being pregnant is a lot easier than being a mum tee hee

I'll hopefully make it along then and get lots of wisdom from you ladies about all things baby and child related in NI. Tho, no, I don't own any Boden either. Think my mum has a couple of cardies from there, maybe I could nick one lol

booyhoo · 09/06/2010 15:44

i too belong to the no-boden club.

pregnancy is easier than being a mum

FairhairedandFrustrated · 09/06/2010 16:02

Hi - can't make meet-up due to work, but hopefully if there's a next one!!

I 'know' PaulaPlulpBottom from the Stormont Mile For Maude a few years ago - have changed names since then though so you might not 'know' me!! Is CremolaFoam still here, maybe under a new name? There was another cople of girls too weren't there? One had just had a new baby & the other had a lot of children - by means of deduction you will work out I had one of each with me that day!

I work in Ballymoney and live not far from there either. Am so pleased to see so many NI posters and hope I can make it next time

booyhoo · 09/06/2010 16:30

hi, fairhaired sorry you cant make it. hopefully you can make the next one. i am getting very ahead of myself and thinking of monthly meets.

LittleMissSnowShine · 09/06/2010 22:51

Ooh monthly meets sound excellent - if all goes well i'll be an official mum with a real life child to bring to future meet ups after August so hopefully this one will go well and it can maybe evolve into a regular thing

Don't think I know any of the posters in real life, but suppose you never know, NI is a very small place!! I'm only a mumsnet newbie tho...

iamfabregasted · 10/06/2010 10:27

Fairhaired - I live in Ballymoney, wonder if I know you??

Boo- monthly meets would be excellent imho.

Littlemiss - please bring your bump you'll make me all broody.

booyhoo · 10/06/2010 10:58

phew

i thought i had scared you all away.

knock, you're new man will have to watch himself after this meet if you are going to be getting broody. in fact, so will my old man if past history is anything to go by

iamfabregasted · 10/06/2010 11:09

Boo - ha ha ha I think my baby days are done, unfortunately.

I just love babies and I am warning all of you now, I will melt into a puddle of goo on the grass at the sight of all the lovely babies

Oh to be 10 years younger.

Tee2072 · 10/06/2010 13:42

Okay, I may not be able to come now.

We've been waiting for a date for my son to have some minor surgery done and I just found out its the 21st. He's having it done in the day unit, so he might be fine by Friday 25th. I'll have to wait and see how he is!!

booyhoo · 10/06/2010 13:46

oh, i hope he's ok tee.
