June 2010 Bumps London Meet Up

As promised (finally...), somewhere we can make plans without hijacking the main June bumps ante-natal thread

I think we've already agreed that:

1. Most people would prefer an evening meet-up after work

1. That City, West End or Angel would be ok (or did I imagine that?)

So, just to get the ball rolling, here's some proposed dates:

Thursday 4th March (might be a bit soon...)
Monday 8th March
Thursday 11th March
Monday 15th March
Thursday 18th March

(Sorry, this is based entirely on my diary so I appreciate it might not work for anyone else! I could also do Wednesday evenings but only after 7.30/8pm which might be a bit late...)

Would 6.30pm be good, or would people prefer a 7/7.30 start?

And, finally, a suggestion of a cheap, bump-friendly nice place to meet with yummy food and a good range of meat/veggie dishes:

Will keep an eye on this Filly, in case you all pick a date and location that I can feasibly make it to. North London is the most do-able for me, as I'd have to catch a train in to Kings Cross/St Pancras or Farringdon.

I def can't do 8th March from your list.

The restaurant suggestion looks great (but any food looks good to me at the moment!). I can be flexible on location to suite others.

Thursday 11th is a no go for me; would probably prefer the 15th or 18th....

Thanks filly! Mon 15th best for me, Thursdays a bit of a pain but do-able.

Islington/Angel is quite out of the way for me (am in Balham & work in City) but i will certainly come up there if best for everyone!

Thanks for getting the London thread going. I used to go to Mem & Laz all the time when I lived up that way so good choice of restaurant Filly! Like minimoon I'm now down the other end of london (Clapham) but work in central london so can definitely make my way to Angel if that's the best option for everyone else.

Date wise I can't do the 11th or 15th.

I'm going away the following week and damned if I'm going to miss the London meetup after all this time....so otherwise it will have to be after 7th April! [sheepish emoticon]

18th fine by me although I'll be a bit late as will have to wait for dh to get home before leaving so the more central the better (or there are some lovely places to eat in Balham ha ha!)

18th should be ok here, but like minimoon have to wait for DH to come home first. Where are we meeting? (chiswick very easyforme nice..! Anywhere central is fine.

filly thanks for organising - datewise I'm not sure about 18th, but will check with DH and see if he has already planned anything for then. Location is perfect for me though, as I'm only 10 mins away on the bus, near Dalston.

18th is good for me. I work in central london and leave in east london, so location is good.

Hurrah, it looks like we have 80% agreement on a date (18th) and the majority can get to the Angel/Kings Cross area, so Mem and Laz it is...unless anyone wants to shout me down now?

I'll do a roundup/hassle on this thread and the main June one towards the beginning of next week to get an approx idea of numbers, then make a reservation

filly I am so sorry - when I saw that 18th had been settled on as date, I knew there would be a problem for me - DH has a commitment that night and it's the one evening in the month I can't negotiate a swap. Please count me in next time though and thanks so much for organising.
