Alot has happened in the last year. A few of us have had babies etc. I know people have fallen out and I am missing meeting up with everyone. Can we have a fresh start and start meeting up again. I apologise to justa, eggy, sarah, twigy etc for my crappy behaviour and believing what others told me which i can now see wernt true! SO, shall we arrange a meet up?

Ooh that's brilliant knickers! Fingers crossed for you for tonight...

Last night, dd woke at about 1am. DH hadn't come to bed yet and I brought dd into the bed with me for a feed. Fell asleep. Woke up on hearing a thud and cry- she'd rolled off onto the floor

She was absolutely fine but I felt so guilty I never quite managed to go back to sleep properly after that. She stayed in bed with us the rest of night but dh had joined us so she couldn't roll out again. I did have a horrid dream later (in a rare snatch of actual sleep) that she'd fallen off a cliff

So, here's to a better night for me and a repeat of last night for you

Knickers0nMaHead · 17/10/2009 22:42

Don't feel too guilty, I'm sure it has happened to quite a few people but lots won't admit it! Ds has fallen out of bed quite often. That is why I got the bed guard.

He went to bed at 6 and not heard from him since!!!!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed for a better night for you then!

Thanks. I'm hoping she stays in her cot tonight. I know I said I like co sleeping - and I do like it - but I secretly wish she would mostly sleep in her cot and just sometimes come into our bed, like once or twice a week. I like to spread myself out in bed, you can't do that with a baby in the way!

ineedalifelaundry · 17/10/2009 23:12

Or maybe I just need a bigger bed

and a bigger house to put it in

Knickers0nMaHead · 17/10/2009 23:15

I secretly wish that too!!!!! We have a....the one in-between a double and king.....Tis bliss when I'm in bed on my own

OP posts:
ineedalifelaundry · 17/10/2009 23:29

As soon as we've got any spare cash I'm insisting on buying a bigger bed. Isn't the inbetween size called a queen size?

Can't keep my eyes open any longer, all this bed talk you know... I'm off to mine now.

G'night

Knickers0nMaHead · 17/10/2009 23:33

Yes, that's right!!!

Looks like I am kipping on the sofa again tonight so won't be going to sleep just yet, plus, it is my lie-in in the AM

Night-Night.

Shall we arrange another meetup for next week?

Phoenix · 20/10/2009 11:06

I'll keep an eye on the thread but I won't say yes or no yet cos we still haven't got rid of this bloody cold.

hiccymapops · 20/10/2009 15:05

Hello

Phoenix my two are full of it again too, this cold seems never ending! Ben's got an eye infection now too I'm blaming pre-school.

I'll look out for meets too, it's ages since i saw any of you!

(ineedalifelaundry, i'm ashamed to say i'm guilty of the falling out of bed thing too . I fell asleep sitting up feeding him, and woke up just as he was falling out of my arms. I still feel like pants about it I used to wonder how that could happen to people, when you never really relax with them in bed, serves me right for thinking it'd never happen to me-smartarse!)

Hope everyone's okay xx

TheDevilsKnickers0nMaHead · 25/10/2009 15:27

Hello everyone.

Hope you are all feeling better!

ineedalifelaundry · 25/10/2009 23:57

Hello!

Not been on here for a bit. Do you still fancy a meet up next / this week knickers? I can do tues or weds this week but going away thurs for a few days (taking DD to visit sis in London, DH not coming- woohoo!) After that I'm free the following Friday (6th nov).

Hope you and the DC are well

ineedalifelaundry · 26/10/2009 00:04

Hiccy - thanks for reassurance re falling out of bed They are amazingly resiliant aren't they? I reckon babies are made of hard rubber.

hiccymapops · 06/11/2009 11:38

Hello...... Where's everyone gone?

I've had very poorly children for over a week suspected swine flu. But they seem to be picking up now thank goodness. I've come on here to catch up with what everyone's been up to, and you've all vanished!!!

Hope everyone's okay xx

Phoenix · 07/11/2009 22:49

Hi Hiccy, for poorly boys, hope they're better by now. My 2 were snotty and coughy for ages a few weeks ago and Noah is a bit snuffly again now but not as bad as last time.

We'll have to meet up at Funworld sometime

Knickers0nMaHead · 09/11/2009 10:19

Hello! I thought this thread had been abandoned

OP posts:
hiccymapops · 09/11/2009 21:59

Yay - people i was panicking i'd have to start talking to myself again! The only conversation i seem to get at the minute is from the boys

Hope your two are better Phoenix, these colds seem never-ending don't they? It'd be nice to see you, i haven't met your new little man yet. I braved funworld in the half term holidays, they've got a new bouncy castle

Hope your little ones are well Knickers. Is Sam nearly one now?

Knickers0nMaHead · 09/11/2009 22:08

He turned one last Saturday, the 31st. Theyre good thanks. Hows the boys?

OP posts:
hiccymapops · 10/11/2009 10:18

I didn't realise it was last week, they grow so fast! Did he have a good birthday?
They're good thanks Luke's still got a little cough, but Ben started back at pre-school yesterday. I was ridiculously emotional, with half term and him being ill, i'd had him at home for two weeks, so it was like his first day all over again yesterday (for me, not him, he was fine!) I really am going to have to get a grip

Knickers0nMaHead · 10/11/2009 17:28

Awww bless ya . Yes he had a good day thanks. I wasnt impressed for various reasons, one being expils forgetting to get a cake. I have spotted a play centre that Ive never been to before. Any fancy a meet?

OP posts:
hiccymapops · 11/11/2009 13:38

Where is it?

expils, have you and D split up? Good job you said that though, i'd better get Luke's cake ordered, or he won't have one either! (not that i think he'd be bothered )

Phoenix · 11/11/2009 14:08

Hi

Is it in Ossett knickers? The boys are going to a party on Saturday to a new one in Ossett, think DH said it's called Playstation.

Knickers0nMaHead · 11/11/2009 17:52

Yes thats the one phoenix. Yes we have hiccy. We were going to just date for a while but have decided to just stay friends for the time being.

OP posts:
Phoenix · 12/11/2009 18:29

I've been to a lovely playcentre today, only thing is it's in Sheffield. It's big and the twice i've been not that busy. It's called Monkey Bizness (there's an advert on tv if you've seen it.) Have looked at public transport for you knickers, it's just passed Meadowhall so you could get a bus/train there and then catch a supertram to it but it could be a lot of p*ssing around for you with both kids. So maybe not a good meeting place

Knickers0nMaHead · 12/11/2009 22:44

I could give it a go in the future but just getting the bus in Wakefield is more hassle than its worth at the moment! I went to play station today and it isnt too bad. No ball pool but a littley area. Babies are free. Crawlers are 2.50 and walkers are 3.50 so was quite an expensive trip out really. The menu is pretty basic, espc compared to leapfrogs but much better than cheeky monkeys in wakefield. Lots of space for kids to run around!
