Please Please chat Older mums to me !!!

I have tried so many times on this site to see if older mums will even chat and never get a reply even.
I am 49 with 3 kids, Ds 21 yrs, Dd 18 years and younger ds of 8 yrs. I am only working gvery part time- ish because of younger son, am single parent but living with a dp.
I live in Hampshire..... please chat !

Maltesers - I will be 45 in December, and I have three dses - 12, 14 and nearly 16. We used to live in Salisbury, and my MIL lives in Winchester, but sadly we moved, firstly to the south east and last year, to Scotland, so I'm a bit far away from you.

I'm more than happy to chat, though.

We're near Glasgow, maltesers. We have moved a few times with his job, but hopefully we are settled here for a few years to come - 'til the boys finish school, at least, and probably university too, as there are no university fees up here.

I am now in SALISBURY everyone. My home town... where i was living b4 i met my EX . Its a lovely old Cathedral city and full of character.

We used to live in Salisbury, maltesers - ds1 was born in Odstock Hospital!

I'm 43 with a 13yo ds. Live just outside Brussels. Was beginning to think I was really ancient looking at some of the posters recently!

I'm 42. I don't really feel like an older mum - most people I know had their children at a similar time to me.

Trying to think of some form of paid employment that fits around them, not having worked since having DC1.

Yes, work is hard to get back into when you have been just a mum for so long. I only work 3 hours a week teaching fitness classes...yes, at my age. Guess i am fairly fit ...but dont tell anyone in the fitness industry my age or i will have to kill you !!!!(joke)

SCARYTEACHER....Whats Brussels like and the area ?? My DP has applied for several jobs there but no luck as yet. He doesnt like Brussels much but that is where all the computer analyst/consultancy work seems to be.

MUFTI.......My parents live in Salisbury...but they are getting really old now...82 and 79 .

I'm thinking of learning massage or some other therapy so I can practise at home and have control over the hours - only thing is, this area seems to be awash with masseurs and other therapists.

Thats a great idea OURLADY....I have thought of such myself..with that sort of thing you can choose the hours.
