I am feeling brave today and want to get out and meet some new people, are there any MN ladies in the Gloucester area who would like to meet up?

Hi ladies,

We are quite busy now until easter hols and then we are around on the first wednesday (7th?) if anyone fancied a meet at welly-boot land or stratford park or something.

Swiss- hope the pox has passed, poor you, was it all 3??

Rabbit- are you still around, hope all is ok?

Jolie- Yes we have met at Pitville Park and Primose Vale farm shop before now

Cat- Hope your birthday bash went well last month!

Dollytwat · 19/03/2010 13:37

Hi everyone, am I too late to join in a Cheltenham meet up? I live in Prestbury and my 2 are at school, but I don't work Fridays so can come for coffee before school run time.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 21/03/2010 19:58

Hello Dolly
(resisting urge to break into song there)
Welcome. I don't think we have got any concrete plan for a meet-up yet but watch this space.
I have been to the Cotswold Farm Park today to lust over Adam watch lambs being born and I swear there was someone there who looked familiar. Any MNetters there today?

tvaerialmagpiebin · 22/03/2010 13:12

ooh yes, two different litters in the touch barn and some up in the fields. There are Old Spots and Tamworths. Very cute, actually some for sale, if you would like a piggy buddy!

Dollytwat · 22/03/2010 14:08

I would love a piglet, shame they grow into mahoosive pigs really! OK We'll go there this weekend

swissmiss · 25/03/2010 21:13

Pat Thanks for asking, yes all 3 had it and badly! still in its final stages, DD1 now has viral conjuntivits from it so even though spots are scabbed pre-school won't take her back yet. since half term between them they've had croup x2, tonsilitis, ear infection and the pox. i'm well and truly knackered and to top it all we put our house on the market today, have a viewing on monday am so my weekend will be spent trying to turn this tip into something sensible rather than catching up on sleep. sorry for the moan am feeling a tad over-tired. i'd best get off here and go to bed Hope you and yours all well?

tvaerialmagpiebin · 10/04/2010 21:12

Hi everyone

My name's Beki and I just recently moved to Abbeymead in Gloucester and would really like to make some new mum friends in the area if anyone's willing? Are there any meet ups in Abbeymead or near by? as I don't drive I know there's an under five group in Hucclecote but does anyone know of one in the Abbeymead area? Sorry for bombarding with questions.

My daughter is coming up for 11 months this April, just to let you know

Thanks for reading.

Hi Beki (and Lanky). Hope your well.

LargeGlassofRed · 16/04/2010 21:35

Hi all.
welcome to abbeymead Ditzymitz, I'm there too
Welljust about survived the hols, an looking forward to a slightly cleaner house next week,
at one stage today, I kid you not,
I had 11 kids round house and garden its no wonder the poor babies hardly had any sleep today.

Hi, lanky looking forward to babybounce this week think the boys have missed all their little groups

ditzymitz · 21/04/2010 11:30

Thanks for the welcomes ! and thankyou to lankyalto for all the baby group info

I'm actually braving Bounce & Rhyme in Hucclecote this afternoon. I don't make a habit of turning up to things alone as I'm quite shy, but I'll try to suck it up for Lulu. So if any of you guys are there and happen to see someone walk in looking like a deer caught in the head lights, that'll be me

emwhight · 22/04/2010 14:15

Hi folks,

I've been directed to this thread by GetOrfMoiLand (many thanks again).

Moved to Stroud/Cirencester way at the start of December and can't seem to get a social scene organised. I've got a 2 year old girl, who would love some playmates.

Anybody live around my way and fancy meeting up? I'm a full-time mum so pretty flexible with times and have car, so can travel.

Greenshadow · 22/04/2010 16:38

Hi Emwhight, and welcome to Stroud.
We moved here a few years ago but I'm afraid I won't be much use in helping find pre-school friends as ours are all older and at school now.
Hope someone else round this area can help out.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 22/04/2010 20:38

Hi Emwhight welcome to Glos.
Hopefully PattheHammer will see this and have some info, she is around your neck of the woods - ish.

hi ditymitz how did you get on at the library?
If you make it on a tuesday lots of us go into the cafe next door after, you are welcome to join us.

Hey LGoR you must have had no glasses or plates left after that tidal wave of children through your house.

Everyone else - hello!

PatTheHammer · 24/04/2010 13:37

Hello all, welcome all newbies

Ultra busy few weeks for me so time on MN has been virtually non-existent We have just had a week in sunny bognor regis at my mothers though, which was nice!

Emwhight, I am indeed in your neck of the woods, are you in between Stroud and Ciren? I work at a certain secondary school that may be close by to you arond the bussage area? Do you have CAT? I can send you a message if you fancy meeting up in Stroud one afternoon. Let me know

What about everyone else, hope you are all well, LGOR, just reading about your hols makes me knackered! Mycat and Lanky...........looking forward to buying school uniforms soon?????

Greenshadow · 25/04/2010 17:23

Hello Patthehammer.

I am also a relatively new bod on here.
WE have a DS who will be starting at said school near Bussage in September!
He is one of the ones who didn't get in first time round due to the unprecedented number of children in the catchment this year. Very glad the intake was increased so he can now go to his local school.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 26/04/2010 19:18

LOL Pat, got another year to go yet. Don't know which school Cat got for her dc.

Hello Greenshadow.

emwhight · 03/05/2010 09:01

Hello Pat. I responded to you on my original 'Anyone from Stroud thread'.... or at least I think I did. Hmmmmm, can't seem to see it now.

Anyway - small world - my DH is a teacher at this certain school that quite a few of you seem to have links with.

I do have CAT, so please send a message and we can talk further.

florencerusty · 03/05/2010 16:40

Hi

I'm in Gloucester - new to MN but not new to Gloucester. I have a DD 20months and some much much much older children

This is my second family so I was a very young mum first time and now almost geriatric - somehow I just feel out of place at local groups and so think we're a bit isolated really

tvaerialmagpiebin · 03/05/2010 18:50

hello florence
welcome!

Welcome to all our newbies.

Just thought I'd check in and say Hi and see how everyone is doing?

All's well here, DH has finally got a new job after 10mths out of work! Starts next month for 40wks. I'm thrilled we'll have some money coming in again but I know it'll be tough on my own with the 3 kids for the whole summer holidays. Must make sure to keep them busy DC's have got over the chicken pox at last and things are pretty much back to normal.
DD1 has this term started her settling in sessions at primary, 2 hrs on Fri pm and is LOVING it. Helps that DS is in reception so they see each other at playtime etc. Was putting name tags in her uniform today, seems like only yesterday I was doing DS's.

Are any of you going down to Bristol for the MN Flash/Fabreeze jaunt on Weds 19th?

tvaerialmagpiebin · 27/05/2010 20:29

bump

Also to say that I went into ELC in Glos today and it is closing down - 20% off a lot of the stuff.
