I am feeling brave today and want to get out and meet some new people, are there any MN ladies in the Gloucester area who would like to meet up?

MyCatIsABastard · 08/02/2010 21:05

Hi tegan. Come and meet up.

I'm not too bad most days at the moment (unless I get a job soon), so I'll just fit in with everyone else.

LargeGlassofRed · 08/02/2010 21:48

Hi all, I'm pretty free for a meet up but am limited to school hours or after school but more tricky.
Can do fridays too.

If anyone is at a loose end today or at the weekend, I can recommend this - Room on the Broom, at the Everyman. I took ds today, and we both really enjoyed it. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. It lasts about an hour, and tickets are £9.

There's a sneak preview here

Hello all again Just seen this thread in Active convos Seems ages since there was a meet so I'd be up for a meet up, feeling a bit ropey (unexpectedly with child again ) so might have to play it by ear but in theory anytime is good for me.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 11/02/2010 20:00

Ooh congrats RR! How far along are you?

I don't think we have reached any consensus about the next date, so watch this space for further developments.

Hope you are feeling ok.

Ooooooh, Rabbit, so very pleased for you

You will be catching up LGOR soon

When are you due?

Thanks for link lanky, DD loves the theatre but she is a bit poorly at the mo (pus out of ear, yeuch!) plus took her to cinema last week and she loved princess and the frog!

Swissmiss- hope you are well, good to hear from you

What happened to Luka???

Meet-up wise we can do thursday 25th feb or the afternoon of friday 5th march.

PatTheHammer · 12/02/2010 16:45

Oh, forgot it is half-term next week. i can do something on tuesday if anyone is about, I have an extra child with me as looking after a friend's DS but we are around if anyones free

Restrainedrabbit · 12/02/2010 19:21

THank you, tis still very early days and I've had four MCs in my lifetime so not getting my hopes up. Got an early scan at the 'lovely' RGH on Monday to check that things are ok for now. Met the midwife and she seems lovely

I can't do the 5th, my Mum's birthday and doing two guest lectures at UWE in Bristol.

monkeyfacegrace · 12/02/2010 19:36

Hey again all! Well Im up for a meet (again- second time lucky )
Just let me know when and where. Im free any Monday or Thursday, and will always have the kids with me!

tvaerialmagpiebin · 28/02/2010 20:04

Bump.
Anyone doing anything interesting?
I tok DS to Prinknash bird park yesterday and he fell on his bottom in the donkey field. Mud from head to toe. And the deer tried to eat my glove. We were the first there (at 10.15am) so they were obviously going to mob us for food.

MyCatIsABastard · 28/02/2010 20:07

Hello lanky. Nowt interesting going on here at the moment. Although you've reminded me about prinknash, really must go again.

Hope everyone is well and we really should meet up again.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 28/02/2010 20:19

Hiya Cat
Nearly school choice decision time?

I haven't been to Prinknash since ds was about 6 months old (so 3 years ago - OMG!). To be honest I thought it looked a bit tired, but this is probably not a fair time of year to judge. The new tea room is very good though (although appeared to be staffed by the cast of Father Ted).

Yes it would be nice to meet up. In the meantime I will carry on making eyes at LargeGlassOfRed in the library.......

MyCatIsABastard · 28/02/2010 20:35

I took the kids last year, might go again this week actually as DD loved it and the dears and it is something nice to do. Also really fancy being served by the cast of Father Ted (really really want to have some old gimmer in the corned shouting 'FECK' every 3 minutes).

29th March school choice day. Not too nervous at the moment.

You make eyes at LGOR eh? Where's that at then? I can make eyes at a librarian if it'll get me books!

PatTheHammer · 01/03/2010 20:09

LOL at Father Ted! We love Prinknash, although will probably not go till its less muddy this year......so, May then!!

We had fun at Slimbridge in half term and DD enjoyed the Waterways museum in Gloucster t'other day (good because you can have a wonder round Gloucester quays, Baby Gap etc and have a nice coffee in that divine chocolate place). We also took her bowling for the first time on Sunday! She loved it, although went to Stroud bowl which is decidedly manky compared to Ten pin.

We are so not nervous about school choice thingy as we just applied to most local one, which is never full so its a given really. But must be hard if you are not sure whats going to happen, I know at my work 18 in catchment children didn't get in this year, very upsetting for them.

So meet-up wise, we can do something next thursday if anyone fancied a quick coffee? Other days I do have a few afternoons (mainly fridays).

tvaerialmagpiebin · 04/03/2010 19:16

LOL Cat, it is only baby bounce and rhyme. My ds is a bit old now but he has been going all his life and the library staff all know him by name. LGOR's babies are scrummy.

Oops Pat, sorry to have missed you today.

Must def meet up soon.

OP posts:
PatTheHammer · 04/03/2010 19:42

s'Alright Lanky, I meant next thursday (11th) but I can't do it now anyway. I can do the following thurs (18th?) in the morning whilst DD is at playschool..............when really I should be doing my housework, Ho-hum!

swissmiss · 10/03/2010 10:53

In throws of chicken pox here so i'll pass for a meet up next week.

joliejolie · 11/03/2010 10:01

Are there ever any meet-ups in Cheltenham??

MyCatIsABastard · 16/03/2010 19:09

Hello, we're not getting v organised are we.

joliejolie, yes we've met up in Cheltenham. Be lovely to see you.

Ermm... how about next week maybe? I can do any day but Friday. Don't mind where we meet.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 16/03/2010 19:53

Hiya Cat
Oh the tyranny of playgroup schedules. I suppose it is worse when they go to school. I could do a Monday morning?
