Hi all, would love to try and make a meet up, blooms good for me and thursdays, although would have to leave by 2.30 for the school run

PatTheHammer · 26/01/2010 21:16

Bit short notice, but can anyone do this thursday???? We have nothing planned in the afternoon?

If not then we are busy most thursdays till after half term.

Bloody snow indeed Lanky, have not done a full week at work since xmas! Although this week sadly looks pretty intact.

LargeGlassofRed · 27/01/2010 13:00

Hi pat sorry can't make this thursday, thats a shame.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 29/01/2010 13:13

Hi
Pat, thought of you struggling up to your school, in all that snow, then thought, nah, it'll be shut.

Having more probs with xp here. DS a bit unsettled by it all. It is so unfair. Grrrr.

Hope everyone else is well.
Large Glass - I recognise you from your pictures - isn't it weird when Real Life overlaps with Mumsnet. I have seen you a few times in the library with your twins and at the Upton Christmas fayre when your big son bought loads of my soft toys......... small world.....

What did you do about school choices in the end Cat?

xx

lankyalto -hi what a small world, hope I wasn't looking too harassed you ll have to say hello, I'm hopeless at remembering people I blame it on extreme sleep deprivation .

tvaerialmagpiebin · 30/01/2010 20:37

Hey you have FIVE children, you can look how you like, I am in extreme awe of you!
I will say hi next time I see you. The babies are adorable and your older children so well-behaved.

OP posts:
LargeGlassofRed · 30/01/2010 21:32

Ah thanks lankyalto, thats lovely of you to say. They have their moments but are a real help with the babies.

Life is abit like treading water in custard some days but I keep up the mantra
'just keep swimming, just keep swimming'.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 30/01/2010 21:46

ooh, hello. How are you all? I can do a meet up. Thursdays are usually fine for me, although I will be child free. Can't this Thursday though.

I chat to Sazzles on another thread a bit, I'll mention it to her too.

Triggles · 31/01/2010 19:19

Five children? Oh my, I'm worn out with 2. I'm obviously a bit of a wuss. I'll be watching to see when the next meeting is, maybe I'll brave taking the monsters.

Hello Luka
How many do you have? Can you beat LargeGlassOfRed's 5?
I only have the one, and quite frankly I am exhausted, so well done to you.
Whereabouts in Glaws are you?

Hello folks,

Hi Lanky, how are you and DS?

Luka- welcome to the gang, I used to live in nailsworth so not far from you, now live in Stonehouse. A v e n i n g is very pretty.

Triggles -do come to the next one and bring your monsters (like I have said before, once you meet mine you will forget you even used to call them that)

Hi Cat and LGOR too

When is the next meet then?????????? First thursday after half term any good for anyone?? 25th or somesuch???

Ooh Luka that is a nice place to live, a bit hilly though... my monster is 3.4 and very lovely. He is at the "why" stage and is also obsessed with how earthquakes happen and tornadoes, he can do a very impressive demo of tectonic plates colliding.....

Hi Pat! all fine thank you.

Saw you at the nearly new today LGOR - not that I am stalking you or anything!!!! didn't dare say "hello I am lankyalto" in case I got overheard. Hope you got some bargains.

Meant to say - has anyone heard anything from Silkcushion lately?

OP posts:
LargeGlassofRed · 06/02/2010 20:31

ah lankyalto snap I nearly said are you Lankyalto? but then chickened out
Poor dp, it was the first and last baby sale he has been to

I can do a meet up on thurs 25th, blooms sounds good.

Coping with 5 the older ones are quite helpful with the babies they are very patient and sweet with them. Dd2 who's 6 tends to be a little mother hen very funny although I came in the room the other day to find her playing dress up with them they didn't look to impressed.

MyCatIsABastard · 07/02/2010 21:27

Hello all. I have 2 and am knackered! Am in awe of 5. 5 pregnancies would do me in, let alone the children after them!

I can do 25th at Blooms I think. Say 2pm?

Hello! Sazzles and MyCat have pointed me over here. I'd be up for a meet up but would love to not have to bring my children! So Wed and Fri also good for me as they're easy days for DH to have off. He's got 26th off if that's any help.

Don't have a school run to consider, thankfully.
