Calling Dannie, Custy, Willum, Scummymummy and anyone else who wants to have lunch in Brighton on Saturday 26 April: which shall I book? Pinocchio's or the Grand?

CAM · 17/03/2003 10:41

Dannie has agreed with me that the Grand would be fun for lunch on Saturday 26 April. So is anyone else coming or are we going to be lunching a deux? I have noticed a poster called crummymummy who lives in the Eastbourne area - would you like to come? As for Custardo, Scummymummy, Willum (and Mabs now you have had such good news about your dd?) will you all be joing us? I'm starting to feel that I'm nagging you all now......!!

OP posts:
Tortington · 17/03/2003 16:01

the grand!!! OOOOH ERRR MISSUs sounds expensive

love to come!

MABS · 17/03/2003 18:22

CAM - sorry won't be around as we will either be in Mauritius or Arizona on holiday , now that the news on dd is better !!

CAM · 18/03/2003 10:23

Custy it won't be too bad because we can drink more afterwards elsewhere if we want (can't wait to see you), as for you Mabs, lucky you and see you next time. Willum and Scummymummy are you still listening here?!!! Let me know, it will be fun (I promise).

willum · 18/03/2003 12:01

Sorry, I have been v. busy digging up and re-laying drive and garden, so haven't been logging on all weeek. I don't know either, so if you think the Grand is best, then the Grand it is!! Are we all meeting at the station? As I don't know Brighton or any of you I may be a bit stuck otherwise.

crummymummy · 18/03/2003 21:38

Many thanks for thinking of me. Weekends (particularly Saturday) generally difficult - only time I see dh. Keep me in mind for anything else though.

CAM · 19/03/2003 09:36

Willum, the Grand is on the seafront, it is easy to walk to from the station. I will post exact route for you nearer the time but it is only about 10 mins walk. I will book the table for 1.00 but we should meet in the lounge area at 12.30 for a drink first. Just walk straight into the hotel and turn left for the lounge area. The restaurant is on the right. I will book it in my name so you will have a name to ask for. Ask Tech to send me your email address so I can email you with the name. Looking forward to meeting you, my dh's office in Burgess Hill.

oi scummmy are you coming or not? - dya want the wombles quilt? and more importantly should my kids tidy their rooms in anticipation of your stay?

willum · 19/03/2003 11:52

Thanks for the help. Will get my e-mail address to both of you, so we can work out the details.

CAM · 21/03/2003 12:51

I've booked us a table now for 1.00 on sat 26 April. Anyone else can join in nearer the time if they let me know so I can amend the booking.

Cam - may be able to make it after all, change of holiday dates. Won't know 'til next week though, that ok? Scummy are you coming? love to see you again.

ScummyMummy · 23/03/2003 19:00

Yes. Couldn't find this thread so emailed Cam. Will be lovely to see everyone and the seaside again.

tomps · 23/03/2003 21:57

Hello brighton mumsnetters, sorry to hijack your thread - can anyone suggest a B & B for a child-free weekend in Brighton - must get back to my friend tomorrow ! Cheers in advance - hope you have a great meet up.

CAM · 24/03/2003 09:08

Mabs of course you can let me know later. No problem. Would be really great to see you again. I've added you on already Scummymummy and can't wait to see you again.
Tomps, suggest you look at the Brighton & Hove tourist office website for B & B's. There are so many ranging from the newish "boutique-style" ones (ie. expensive) to the more traditional. It also depends whereabouts you want to be. Personally I have never stayed in a B & B there.

tomps · 24/03/2003 16:36

there's so many to choose from !!! Never mind, not my prob. Cheers anyway

CAM · 01/04/2003 12:40

As it's April and getting nearer does any one else (old or new, this is not a cliquey/clicky meet-up!) want to come. I have booked the table so far for 5 definite: CAM, Custy, Dannie, Scummy and Willum, and 1 possible: Mabs.
Other joiner-inners,please let me know soon if you wish to come!

Cam - ww're off to Arizona on Saturday , getting back Easter Monday . I'm going to say yes - count me in as I'd love to see you all again. There is about a 10% chance that i'll have to pull out as dh 'may' have to work that day, but hope not. Is that ok?

CAM · 02/04/2003 08:36

That is totally ok Mabs, I will book you in and look forward to seeing you again. Meanwhile, have a fantastic holiday in Arizona!
