Older mums with teenages and a little one as well.

would love to chat to older mums with teenagers as they are not easy at all. i also have a four yr old son.

i have an almost 13 yr old dd, and 8 yr old dd, a 6 yr old ds and a nearly 4 yr old ds, would that count?

I'm not one either, Aerobics, but I did used to be a teenager with a little brother. When my brother was born I was 12, big bruv was 13 & Mum & Dad were in their early 40s. I'd be happy to chat about what it was like to be the teenager!

I have two dds, 15 and 12 and a ds of 4.

I've an 8yo and a 17yo, plus two ds's aged 25 and almost 30.

Mine are nearly 15, nearly 12, 9.5 and 6. We can never go to the cinema together, teen hates little one's ideas of a good day out, park, rides etc and we never ever go out as a family any more. Even if we go on holiday, we all split up..any ideas?

My eldest daughter is 13 then I have a son of 12 then I have a son of 12 and then a daughter of 1 months

hi winnie. is your 14 year old boy or girl ?mine is a dd but not so much the darling anymore, she can be horrible most of the time. am glad little one is a boy like my 16 yr old. at least he wont nick all my make up, tights, perfume, expensive lotions and potions !

hi anorek. you have very similar set up. dont you find teenage girls can be awful at times.? are theynice to little one. my 14 yr old dd is ok and helpful sometimes but at other times can be really horrid to him. you would think by 14 she should be more patient.

Aerobics, I live in North Wilts. Dd is 15. I live in North Wilts so not too far from you. Did your dd's take a while to adjust to having a new baby around? Did you? I certainly did. I thought I was prepared but actually the differences between a ten year old and a new baby were shocking. Love him as I do it is only in the last year that I've felt I am getting any of my life back. (Although I do particularly like this stage

not quite with you, but almost. I have a nearly 11 year old and a 5 year old. No huge teenage strops yet, and the 5 year old is getting more grown up. At the moment the age gap between my two sons seeems to have narrowed. They both go to the same primary school, so share lots of experiences.

But next year, ds 1 will leave for secondary school and once teenagerdom begins, I suspect the age gap will seem bigger again. I live in SE london, btw.

Hello...I'm an older mum 45 (when did that happen!!!)...with a 13 yr old dd....and ds 4.
I would have thought such a big gap would have been easy....Oh! god.. how wrong was I...

I'm in Leicester. I thought with a gap of 6 years it would be easier than the last time when there was a gap of 2 yrs but am beginning to think i was an idiot for thinking that!

hi noddyholder. if you really want another one, its great, but i stupidly did it more for my partner than for me. he didnt have any kids. my four old is georgeous and good as gold. unlike 14 yr old dd. it was very hard work especially as little one had serious health probs. am getting life back now and cannot wait for him to go to school in sept. keep thinking how easy and peaceful life would be if i had only had my ds who is 16 yrs old. the amount of washing, shopping, cleaning and car lifts with two teens and a four year old in tow is sometimes hard. the gap of nearly ten years between dd and ds of four was mad. my poor body took its toll ! !

hi israel. you are like me and found the gap hard work. you have to put on your toddler head on one minute and then the kevin teenager head on the next. its like juggling balls ! my four yr old ds is much easier now and so is my ds of 16. he is so nice and reasonable now and speaks to me like a human being again. he is considerate and polite 9we have the odd occassion0 but thats ok. my 14 yr old dd is awful and very difficult. has not a good word to say to anyone. lets hope she comes out of it soon before i am forced into sending her to bratcamp.

to noddyholder esp. the age gap can be a blessing as the dd can look after the baby and help you with babycare and when older can babysit when you go out. its great not having to pay for a sitter.and with a mobile phone you can ring to check all ok as often as you want. also with big one at school all day its not hard work.

hello winnie. where in north wilts are you ? i live near salisbury. you have same gap as myself. yes it was a shock at first but well into it now. poor dd had to get on and see to herself more as did older ds who was then 12 as i breast fed and saw to babe. big ones can now get a meal if necessary and can be quite responsible. do you find that dd isnt always nice to little one? my daughter can tease ds which is horrid. can she be jealous at 14 ? maybe.
