Hi all, was just wondering if anyone wanted to meet up in the next few weeks or so. Any ideas for venue would be great!

Definately up for that! Do you attend any of the other groups run in the croyland centre? My Dc's really enjoy minigym. How about mums and tots?

FAQ · 19/03/2008 23:05

No - I don't really go to any of the Croyland ones - DS3 is only 9 (well nearly 10 actually!) months old, and DS2 is 4........lots of the groups are either "walking-4" or "baby-walking" and not many/any that I can take both to.

I go to the St. Barnabas toddler group on a Thursday afternoon.

Shelley - any day is fine for ma apart from Thursday afternoons.

Perhaps if we make it around lunchtime then we could buy the DC lunch at the cafe (along with fruit shoots ) and have a coffee and natter ourselfs? Would also leave enough time for those that need to get back to whereever to do the school pick-up to not have to suddenly rush away?

shelleylou · 19/03/2008 23:12

got to have the fruit shoots lol ds has 1 now and again for a treat (yes i know some people would lynch me for it). I think lunch time is a good idea as you have your school run not sure about anyone else though and food would keep the kids happy mine anyway lol. What week would be best for everyone?

FAQ · 19/03/2008 23:17

I pick DS2 up from nursery at 11.30 Mon-Thu - so could go straight there afterwards (only a 10 minute walk......IMM - we could walk up together LOL.

Any week for me .

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 23:18

FAQ · 19/03/2008 23:22

I know - but the thought of having DS3 (now crawling about) to contend with along with DS2 (who would be running wild) is a bit much for me .

Yes St.B's has it's "toddler church" (we've really must re-name - it's had that name for 20 odd years LOL) from 2-3.15ish. Start in the church for a little "service" (well song, followed by story, followed by 2 line prayer, followed by walking round the church "singing" while banging drums/shaking rattles/tambourines etc etc, followed by another song) and then down to the church hall for toys/biscuits/squash/coffee/gossip.

It's only a small group (probably average 5-6 per week) and the kids run wild through the "service" most of the time - not to mention in the church hall, and half the mum's aren't really religious at all.

FAQ · 19/03/2008 23:23

IMM - new wall built? Croyland road............ermm not sure - but I'll have a good look at 8.55 when I drop DS2 off tomorrow Are you up or down from the nursery entrance??

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 23:23

FAQ, we are ON the chicane! And I shall have the curtains firmly shut, but they will be twitching!!'ohh, is that faq no it can't be, oh, maybe her, nah!!!'.

St.b's sounds nice, any room for a gatecrasher? dont think we'll make tommorow though as we go to all hallows tiny tots on thurs mornings, and they've recently been unwell with the gastro bug going round, so slowly getting back into our routinue!

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 23:32

Oh, i understand! , yes i'm not very quick me!!! Is there a day-time thats better for you? Will it be too much for you and dc?

FAQ · 19/03/2008 23:34

aha - now I know where to look

Yes - gate crashers always welcome. I always feel I have to "warn" people about the "religious" bit at the start of the session, as I know some people are quite put off by it .

All Hallows tiny tots........I could be wrong but I think that the group some of my other friends go to regularly

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 23:42

Yes its a lovely group, and everyones v.friendly, these are the names of people i know there. Sharon, sue, sarah, marketta (sp?), tracey.

And no i would'nt be put off by the religious bit, my dc's are down for st.b's!

shelleylou · 19/03/2008 23:44

No wednesday will be fine. I think ill rearrange it cos i dont want to see her really and its really worrying my parents that she will mess me around and give me wrong advice. Its not urgent that i go as its just to find out what help im entitled to if i go to college in september. So hindsight tells me she wouldnt be the bet person to ask.

OP posts:
FAQ · 19/03/2008 23:46

really - when will your oldest start.......not this September is it........

Does Sue have a blond haired, blue eyed little imp of a boy (although very cute) beginning with the letters "Ro..."????

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 23:48

Shelley, there's a jc in wellingborough very near to morrisons, maybe they could help you there? I would'nt mind coming with you?

shelleylou · 19/03/2008 23:49

OP posts:

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 23:51

My DS is Obsessed with sounds like something you should do in a boat?!? they are partners in crime and last week sue and i had to drag them out from under the table at snack time as they were under there pinching toes!!!
No the september after, he misses the intake by a few weeks!

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 23:54

Shel you could phone and see, i'm sure if its just advice then it would be the same accross the board IYSWIM? Which college course are you thinking of applying for?

FAQ · 19/03/2008 23:54

If so she comes to the St.B's group with him too (even smaller world)!

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 23:57
