Hi all, was just wondering if anyone wanted to meet up in the next few weeks or so. Any ideas for venue would be great!

Ooh thanks! all excited now! Is there a grand plan, do you all know each other already? will we all recognise each other?

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:20

hello IMY - I'm in Wellingborough too - not far from town - what about you??

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:21

No we've never met before - well Quad has met my H........

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 22:26

Ohh, this is so exciting!!! I live near to town don't drive so its handy enough, we moved up to Wellingborough from London two and a half years ago and so far so good, we've moved twice. We lived first on Knox Road but we moved again in june '07. I'm off Northampton road if that makes sense! Who knows I may pass you every day?!

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:29

oh you're far from me - I'm not far from Kwik-Fit - possibly do pass you regularly!!!

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:31

obviously Northampton Road is quite long- but I'm guessing if you're near to town you use the One Stop or Ramco corner shop across the road??

If you do then we've almost DEFINITELY passed each other LOL.

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:31

sorry 22.29 post should read you're NOT far from me

shelleylou · 19/03/2008 22:35

FAQ I tried looking at your profile to see if there's a pic! Oh, so you'll be on or near St.Barnabus street. I'm on Croyland so its just where oxford Street becomes northampton road. DH has very helpfully informed me that the roads end/start at Nemo's!!! OMG, we must be neighbours. I feel v.naughty like i'm part of a secret society, I shall be walking around tommorow winking and anyone who crosses my path!

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 22:36

FAQ if i bang on the wall will you answer? bang, bang...... await response!

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:36

I know Croyland Road - I walk there 4 times a week with DS2 for Nursery LOL.

I know Nemo's - do a fabulous Kids meal for £1.80

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:38

oh and as for my exact location - yes you're right LOL. (yes I know I've virtually given my exact location away to anyone that wants to know.......but seen as though my proper name, number and address are on our church website I'm not overly worried )

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 22:39

OMG my ds goes to Croyland 2 afternoons a week!!!! You WILL WALK PAST MY HOUSE, this is too weird for words!

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:41

DS2 goes in the mornings...........he's in V's group.

I usually cut through from near Ramco's to the pedestrian crossing - not actually down croyland road......although I do sometimes walk back up that way with a friend !

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 22:44

Sorry I just find this so strange, yes i know Ramco's, my DS1 finds mr.'HEEELLLLOOO', very funny and gigggles non stop!! My DS is in Z's group, he loves it there.

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:46

he's a friend of ours - DS's often get free sweets when we pop in

(I used to find him rather weird before we moved to this street and got to know them, and discovered that they are from the same place as my H is)

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:48

it is rather odd isn't it - gosh I bet we've passed each other in one of those 2 local corner shops loads of times LOL

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 22:51

No i think he's lovely, he's always sooo happy! and DS loves him! and you can't deny that Ramco's is an awful lot cheaper than the one stop!
By the way how do you get a buggy up st. Barnabus? i just can't get mine up and its a single!! I can't wait to meet everyone now, although we probably have! Have you lived here long?

itsMYmummy · 19/03/2008 22:53

Yes probably have! As shlou said its a small world!

FAQ · 19/03/2008 22:57

he is lovely - but my first "experience" of him was waiting for a bus with DS1 (then about 2yrs old) fast asleep in the pushchair - and he had one of those leaf sucker things - and he kept doing it really close to me and woke DS1 up.....I wasn't happy.

Ramco's definitely cheaper......but go to One Stop out of habit as I don't have to cross the road to get there .

The trick with St.B St, is to walk up the side that the church is on, not the school side.......none of the cars park on the pavement on that side so nice and easy . Of course as well as the cars on the other side it doesn't help that the pavement is half the size anyway, lots of the steps into people's front gardens stick out and there are loads of overgrown bushes/trees hanging over LOL.

Lived in Wellingborough for 5 1/2yrs. Lived over on the Queensway Estate for 2yrs then moved here 3 1/2yrs ago.

We'll have to see when this "proper" meet-up is arranged for.......and if it's too soon we'll have to meet in Morrisons anyhow

shelleylou · 19/03/2008 23:00

can do the meet up whenever im erally not fussed. It shouldnt be too hard for me to get on bus with ds.
