Could anyone make use of a pair of Leeds United FC shorts in size 1-2 years? We were given them in a bundle of stuff, but DH (being childish and a Millwall supporter!) has said they cannot stay in the house!

fatzak · 02/03/2008 19:42

Dh wouldn't let them over our doorstep Hope you all had good days today. It was my Nan's 90th today as well as mothers day, so we went for Sunday lunch at a hotel in St Anns - don't ask why we all had to treck over there We set off first thing so the DSes had a while on the sand which was fun!
Oh work tomorrow. I hate Sunday nights. They make me very Plus I always realised everything that never got done over the weekend ie cleaning and ironing and leave it all again!!
Oh and I was meant to be half a stone lighter by now as only three weeks until my hols Three weeks isn't long but if I really try I might get somewhere

HeppyChick · 02/03/2008 19:49

Not wanted here either Itsa, I think a ceremonial burning could be the only answer!

Left DS3 for the first time last night and he didn't miss us at all and SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT - what's that all about then?

Hope everyone and their DC are well...

fatzak · 02/03/2008 19:51

Did you have a good night away Heppy? Was it as swish as they say

Phoenix · 02/03/2008 20:00

Hello

We cooked Sunday lunch for my parents today and had a really nice day

I got a card, small teddy bear and flowers from ds for Mothers Day

Ooo and i saw Darren Day in the florist today when we were picking up my mums flowers. I knew he was married to a woman from Barnsley but didn't think he still lived round here.

OP posts:
HeppyChick · 02/03/2008 20:01

We did and it was. Had a really good laugh and I think a weekend away reminds you why you're married in the first place. DH said something so funny but so rude that I was still laughing like a builder an hour later! So all in all, worth every single penny! [smile}

Wilkie · 02/03/2008 20:21

Just had Heppy, Fatzak and MrsC email me today. Thank you so much for all f you help and advice! Can't wait to meet you all.

I'm really excited now!!!!!!!!

Heppy - very jealous of your night away!!!!

fatzak · 02/03/2008 20:22

I once started a thread about DH seeing Darren Day in Mothercare It was all very odd, as the odds of Dh actually being in Mothercare were slim - it is next door to an electronics shop in Wakefield and that is the only reason why!!

Twigy · 02/03/2008 20:33

Bloody hell girls that took some reading.

Well i enjoyed my weekend of work and am shattered.

Knickers just managed to pick my jaw up off the floor, no more partying for you girlie.

Welcome back Wilkie hope you get yourselves sorted soon.

Twigy · 02/03/2008 20:35

Is Darren Day that idiot who keeps getting engaged?

fatzak · 02/03/2008 20:44

Anyone else read this

itsahardknocklife · 02/03/2008 22:04

Yes, Heppy, burning might be the answer! I might try Freecycle first, though, for the sake of the environment and all that

Been thinking about your little on sleeping through, Heppy. Maybe he knew you weren't there and so it was self-preservation as he didn't want to be someone else in the night!!

Darren Day??!!! I thought he was gay...

Phoenix · 03/03/2008 08:34

Morning,

Is anyone meeting anywhere on Friday? Its my day off and got no plans

OP posts:
itsahardknocklife · 03/03/2008 08:56

yes it'll be the usual on Friday - CM at 10-10.30ish.

hiccymapops · 03/03/2008 10:45

Morning all

Hope everyone had a good weekend especially yesterday

We took shortstuff to Wentworth garden centre to have a look at the petting zoo. It was nice, but i wish we'd gone to Cannon hall instead. It's much better there (could be because there's more chance of me stealythiefing one of those little pigmy goats that walk about freely! )

I'v just had to ring DH at work and tell him what you all said about the Leeds shirt I was wetting myself but DH has officially fallen out with the lot of you Unfortunately, our poor DS has got the whole strip!!!! Luckily i've never let him wear it outside the house!

itsahardknocklife · 03/03/2008 16:50

tee hee Hiccy - you can't steal a goat! It wouldn't fit in your pocket for a start

I haven't been to Cannon Hall yet, but so many people have told me that it's great. When the weather gets a bit warmer we'll go.

Hiccy you might think you've got it bad with a Leeds strip - you have my sympathy. DS had a Millwall strip which sadly he has now outgrown

MmeCellophane · 03/03/2008 17:53

Itsa - you DEFINTELY have to go to Cannon Hall! You can spend ages there - the grounds are lovely to walk round, after you've visited the farm. And if you can stand a busy cafe, the food is really good!

MmeCellophane · 03/03/2008 18:00

Fatzak - that link's not working for me.

fatzak · 03/03/2008 19:35

Mmm, I thought it was a little strange. If it had just been a petition it would have been ok, but wasn't she basically asking for cash? Sorry, a bit harsh there

trace2 · 03/03/2008 19:41

hi ive asked why its been deleted to?

Phoenix · 03/03/2008 20:24

Good itsa i'll be there on friday Trace you wanna lift???

Fatzak - glad ds1's EEG went well, hope they have enough to get to the bottom of it.

I've eventually got my arse into gear and rang a nursery to try get ds in 1 morning a week, they have vacancies now so i'm going to have a look round and get info on weds morning. What do i look for and ask?? Help me i've never done this before

Ds had his 2 year assessment today, all is fine except his speech which we knew anyway. They want to see him again in 6 month and if it hasn't improved they'll send him for a speech assessment. But i'm hoping going to nursery and mixing with other kids will improve it.

Is everyone ok??

OP posts:
itsahardknocklife · 03/03/2008 21:08

Hiya, I'm fine. DH is enjoying his new job. It's Monday to Friday so we get three days together, which is nice. Currently DS goes to childminder Mon and Tues so we have given notice to stop him going on a Mon, which saves a few more pennies.
I'm looking forward to a day to myself tomorrow though, without DS and DH. I know I shall be bored by midday, so if anyone is about feel free to pop in for a cuppa
We have a surveyor coming at 8.30 in the morning - what a sociable time! The landlord is remortgaging and so needs a valuation. The house is presentable so I'm worried about someone coming tomorrow, but a wee bit concerned about landlord remortgaging. Ah well come what may, eh?
I have finally got an appointment with Occupational Health on Weds and I'm getting nervous about it - eeek! Anyone else had dealings with them before? I have already picked Twigy's brain.
I shall stop waffling now

itsahardknocklife · 04/03/2008 16:45

oh dear have I killed the thread??!!

Twigy · 04/03/2008 18:05

Hi Itsa, I popped in and out today and no-one been around. God I am sooooo tired today. How are you?
