cool - I will try and get there before half past ten - unless monster has a long lie!! I am forever hopeful...

hiccymapops · 13/03/2008 21:16

Ben's started waking up at 5ish, and taking 1-2 hours to get back to sleep again! Just when it's time to get up! I'll have him in a routine by the time he's 18!

itsahardknocklife · 13/03/2008 21:53

oh no that's not good
Could it be that he's hungry?

Hi all!
Knickers thanks for dinner tea! I enjoyed it and I don't think ds has ever been so full! He's currently shouting at his daddy. tee hee
Lorn your little man is gorgeous. What soft hair! Do come again, won't you?
Hiccy, how is your little chap's face after that horrible child hurt him? At least it wasn't Dennis getting attacked by a girl this week!!!!!

hiccymapops · 14/03/2008 21:13

Hello everyone

Thank you for a lovely morning It was nice to see you all again. I think i'll be brave next time and give munchkin his dinner there instead of always rushing off!
His little face is okay thanks itsa, i put some antiseptic on it when we got home in case he caught anything off demon child (note to everyone, avoid a curly haired monster called Ben! And i don't mean mine!)

Lorn, it was lovely to meet you and your gorgeous little man

Knickers you were a star for getting there so quick. I told Mark about you wanting to give him a shove and you are now his new best friend

itsahardknocklife · 14/03/2008 22:27

Ah maybe the demon Ben was jealous of your curly haired darling Ben!

itsahardknocklife · 14/03/2008 22:29

And yes, hiccy, give staying for lunch a try.

Bring him to Leap Frogs one day. They do lovely food and I think the environment is a bit less distracting there. Saying that, my bizarre son always finds his way into the kitchens there, or the toilet. I have found him several times in the loo, sitting on a potty, laughing to himself. Odd. Must get it from his father...

Twigy · 14/03/2008 22:29

Hi girls

Bloody hell - you lot chat more than my PN thread and that is saying something!!!

Knickers - how are you feeling?

MrsC/Heppy/Fatzak - where should I be looking for jobs in HUddersfield. Checked out T'Examiner website but most of the jobs on there seem to be Leeds.

Finished work on Thurs. All very real now. Am surrounded by packing boxes. Have had the week from hell because of peoples crapablity (new word) to do anything we ask them to!!!

Am also starting to worry that I will not like the move and will be lonely. I don't do lonely

Anyway, DS is asleep so I should really be cracking on with packing not MNing!

x

Phoenix · 15/03/2008 11:07

1st thing to do when you get to your new house is find out where Leapfrogs, Jellybeans, Cheeky Monkeys and Cannon Hall are then you can meet all of us regularly and not be lonely

itsahardknocklife · 15/03/2008 11:25

Knickers, I was thinking about Norwich and wondering if she was going to pop on from the other side of the world. Nah, she's probably having too much fun!

My back hurts. I think it's from having too much fun at play centres

MmeCellophane · 15/03/2008 14:46

Wilkie - agh! Should've read the thread first, before sending you the Examiner link. Anyway, defo try the actual paper itself - should be mostly Hudds jobs in there.

I can give you detailed instructions to Leapfrogs, Cannon Hall (a MUST!) and Jellybeans. This lot seem to see each other nearly as much as they post!

Unfortunately I can't make most, as they don't fit in with DS's nursery times. However, Fatzak and I have said we will def have to go to Cheeky Monkeys in Hudds when you're around.... all welcome!

Knickers - what a pain about the passport photos. I think the expectations for LOs' photos are ridiculous. Do they really compare photos to babies at Immigration and count their hands, lol?!

itsahardknocklife · 15/03/2008 14:54

What's Cheeky Monkeys in Hudds like?
Mme C, when is your LO in nursery? We shall have to arrange something so you can come.

MmeCellophane · 16/03/2008 07:45

Cheeky Monkeys Hudds is very nice - lots of nice tables, leather (ish) sofas, proper coffee, free juice, reasonable meals.

DS2 (3 but size of a 2yo) can just make it all round the play bit.

Downside is that it's up quite a lot of steps - not good for anyone carrying baby in a car seat! Also, it's biggish (wide, in fact), and it's not always possible to see your LO. You have to circumnavigate the thing, to find them! There is a smaller section for under 3s - although most kids tend to use both. I suppose it should be fine in term-time.

DS2 goes to nursery till 12.30 on Tues and Thurs - I could meet-up anytime Weds or Tues pm or Thurs pm. Wouldn't be able to make Wakey in an afternoon cos of school pick-up but I could make LF - which despite being in Hudds, is still a half-hour away!

MmeCellophane · 16/03/2008 07:49

Oh, and CM isn't great if you want a lot of floor space for your LO to ride cars.

Now, if you lot REALLY want to trek, Magical Forest (formerly Little Pumpkins) in Marsh is really nice for younger ones. (But again, up steps, alas)
