laura032004 · 11/10/2007 09:18

Never heard of that - we're in Plymstock nr Plymouth. Just looked on Multimap, and it's up near Exeter isn't it? Much nearer the 'big smoke' than we are! . We've recently moved up from Helston in Cornwall though, so this feels like a very big city to me

sighkotika · 11/10/2007 12:04

yes, about 10 miles from exeter. i'm the opposite to you though, i've just moved here from london lol. the change is taking some time to get used to

samanthar · 12/10/2007 11:05

goodness sighkotika, we were there last w-end
my parents live thereabouts and we went to see them and to have lunch twice both weekends at the mulberry
used to go to old thatch but now prefer mulberry or go to newton st cyres to the beerengine.
great fans of the cheriton shop
have you been to darts farm near topsham yet? and to the range in exeter down by the quay. if you do then go to lutzys for coffee best lavazza and brownies for miles!
cb is great location

Hello

Is there anyone in North Devon, just about to move to a little village on the outskirts of Ilfracombe, from Brighton and don't really know anybody. We have a soon to be 2 year old and would love to meet people!!

belcantavinissima · 29/12/2007 16:04

hello! i'm here. in exeter. . and i am well and truly alive )last time i looked!)

SammyC · 09/01/2008 21:14

Seaside suzi - i live in barnstaple, when you moving? Good Luck!

Tippychick · 14/01/2008 11:50

I'm near Bideford, just joined the site and would love to meet people locally. Am a single parent of a 15mo girl, work in Barnstaple part time and I know nobody ( literally!) locally so am in need of some new mates! Seaside Suzi and SammyC, would you like to meet up sometime?

SammyC · 16/01/2008 12:33

Would love to meet up have a 3 yr old girl and 18 mth son, we live in barnstaple! I dont work so free pretty much anytime! I am free most afternoons, if its wet we often use the soft play place at the north devon leisure centre its really under used and pretty cheap compared to the other soft play places around.

sighkotika · 17/01/2008 10:10

would anyone be interested if i tried to organise a meet up in exeter?

Tippychick · 17/01/2008 10:56

I can't do Exeter as it's too far on the bus but would like v much to do a barnstaple or Bideford meet. Can we PM on this site?

Fennel · 18/01/2008 15:04

I would come to an Exeter meet-up. Especially if it was evening or weekend. I'd try and drag along a couple of the other Exeter mumsnetters who've been to meet-ups before too.

SammyC · 21/01/2008 08:20

tippychick give me a mail on [email protected] and we can arrange a meet up. Look forward to it.

Tippychick · 21/01/2008 11:31

Have mailed ya SammyC!

evenings i can manage, perhaps not weekends though

Fennel · 31/01/2008 11:56

OK let's arrange an evening and I will try and work up some enthusiasm from mumsnetters I met at previous Exeter meetups, they're out there and would probably come out for a drink but are not attending to this thread.

I can do most evenings. If serious drinking is involved I prefer Thurs Fri Sat.

sighkotika · 01/02/2008 09:25

thursday or friday sounds good to me

Fennel · 05/02/2008 09:04

What about, for an evening:

Thurs 14 Feb
Friday 15 Feb
Thurs 21 Feb
Thurs 28 Feb
Fri 29 Feb?

Also it's half term in 2 weeks, maybe people would be free daytimes then? I wondered about going to test the new soft play centre at Newton Abbott - called Bear Feet, it's advertised in the Primary Times magazine but doesn't seem to have a website. Or somewhere in Exeter, otherwise, though I can't think of anywhere indoors which would work that well. my dds are getting a bit big for Dinky's.
