Ta daaaa.
Welcome to our new home .

Well done on the 5lbs .
I hardly ever go on the other thread now, just to post my results on weigh day.
I only lost 0.25lb last week but I'm not actually doing any exercise, I'm not drinking enough water and I've been drinking wine and whisky...so it's hardly suprising I'm not losing quicker .
I'm still sticking to low-carb and even though the scales aren't being my friend, I'm definately less bloated and feeling slimmer.
Must dig out my exercise vids tomorrow and give them a go again.

binkleandflip · 24/10/2007 23:42

Well done Lyra on the weight loss ! I'm supposed to be re-evaluated at the gym this week - you know, measurements, oxygen capacity, suppleness etc Apparently when dh has his his fitness rate had gone up 40%. Great. Fab. but sod that! what about the weight loss?? I do want to be healthier blah blah but I really really want to slim down and I am getting firmer but no leaner somehow..gggrrr!!

Anway! Had a lovely day out today with dh, dd and dd (thats the dog!) - we've been up to the Lakes and had a wander around Ambleside. Was hoping the dog would have some kind of epiphany by the lakeside and impress all who surveyed her from the shore by leaping dolphin-like into the depths as a good water rescue dog should.however all she did was tiptoe in the shallows from rock to rock so as not to sully her paws it appeared and quite frankly embarrassed the hell out of me

binkleandflip · 24/10/2007 23:56

been doing lots of research regarding tickets for the show. At the minute a matinee is our best chance of getting five tickets together - I've found 5 on 30th January (matinee) they are in row d on upper circle.

Obviously that is today and they may well go but what does everyone think about a matinee meet-up (if at all) ?

Berrie · 25/10/2007 08:35

I'm in
Was having a glorious dream this morning. Was backstage with my friend, Lee's freind and whilst not introduced to Lee had to speak to him a couple of times as we were all rushing to positions. There was going to be a special party after the show for the company and friends and family. We, the friends, were ushered in for the encore. We sat on seats sort of on the stage. I had dd on my knee and the cast kept coming up and kissing her (which frightened the life out of her actually) then Lee came out singing, spotted me and nodded, came towards us and...the alarm went off!

Zebedeedoodah · 25/10/2007 09:25

Was that the fire alarm?!

Drum roll for Zeb....12 days with neither fags or booze. Down to only 2 cups of coffee first thing and drinking lots of water and green/jasmine tea. Not sure on weight loss as I'm still eating some crap, but I'm definitely less bloaty and flabby around the middle and on my face.

I think you could also count me in for Jan.

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 25/10/2007 09:46

Well done Zeb, that's fantastic .

I'm definately up for a meet-up but don't know how I'm going to organise it. I'm terrified of coming down on my own [wuss emoticon ], and need to look into travel options.
It would probably be train as I don't have a passport (I would need one to fly wouldn't I?). Also I'd probably need to stay overnight...although if it was a matinee could possibly catch a train back after?

Have you all pressed F5 to get the halloween emoticons?

Great dream Berrie, though one with an 18 certificate would have been even better . I spent most of last night with Jake Gyllenhaal [lascivious emoticon]

Zebedeedoodah · 25/10/2007 09:57

Be brave and bite the bullet Frog! You could book in to stay at a Travelodge or Premier Travel Inn near the Strand. If you book now it'd cost around £70-£100 depending on which one. If a bunch of us do the meet up, we could make a day/night of it and look after you. One of us could even meet you at the station if that helps. I'm not sure where I'd stay, but it would also be reasonably central-ish.

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 25/10/2007 10:03

How would you be getting there Zeb?

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 25/10/2007 10:04

Is that for one night?

Zebedeedoodah · 25/10/2007 10:07

I'd probably drive as DS would be with me. I'd then dump him on either my sister (who lives in Sarf Lundin) or my mum who'd be delighted to look after the little darling for me whilst I enjoy myself.
DH keeps threatening to get a flat, but as it hasn't materialised yet, I guess I'd stay at my sister's too... either that or we can all invade Lyra's gaff

Zebedeedoodah · 25/10/2007 10:08

Yes. And that's cheap!

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 25/10/2007 10:13

What is included for that?

Zebedeedoodah · 25/10/2007 10:15

Well I think you get a bed. En suite. Errr, breakfast's extra. You could also try Late Rooms. London hotel prices are one of the most expensive in the world, if not THE most expensive. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 25/10/2007 10:21

Looking at train times now...which station would I be best heading for in London?

Berrie · 25/10/2007 10:48

Hellooo helloo!

Quite fancy making a night of it but that is rather expensive. I found a family room in the west end a month or two ago for £95.

You are welcome to come back to mine Oggs. Couple of hours or so back on the train.

Where are you Lyra. Is the garden big enough for my tent?

Berrie · 25/10/2007 10:51

You might find you just need photo ID Oggs...don't know though.

Berrie · 25/10/2007 10:56

Coming back on the same day would mean dh only had to have one day off work too...

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 25/10/2007 10:58

Aw, thanks Berrie. That's kind.
Ooh if I don't need a passport I can look at flights.
I've found a double room at the Covent Garden travelodge for £105 if anyone would share.
I'm getting nowhere with the bloody trains. At the moment I've found one that leaves Glasgow at 8am arriving Kings Cross @ 1.45. Now I have to find one that gets me to Glasgow for 8am.

Berrie · 25/10/2007 11:09

Yep you can use a driving license apparantly but you might need to chack with the airline.

Berrie · 25/10/2007 11:11

If you have trouble with flights to London, check flights to EMA, I'll pick you up and you can come on the train with me.

Berrie · 25/10/2007 11:11

Double room or twin room?

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 25/10/2007 11:15

I give up . It takes over an hour to get to Glasgow from my nearest station, and an hour to get from home to said station.
I don't have any photo id so flight is out .
Gawd how do people in big countries get on .
Can't spend any longer on here as I did have day all organised and am 2 hours behind already.
Will have another look later. I think that due to the length of time it's going to take me to actually get there that staying overnight is looking like a necessity.

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 25/10/2007 11:17

Twin room. I like you lot, but not that much

Berrie · 25/10/2007 11:36

Of course we don't actually have to go and see the show (goodness knows some of you have been often enough!) We could meet somewhere more central....like in the Midlands
Of course this wouldn't suit Lyra.... or Zeb (though isn't it about time DH learned to change a nappy and realsie how wonderful you are?)
Thinking about it though, Oggs would still need to travel to the airport or station so she might as well go all the way to London!

Zebedeedoodah · 25/10/2007 12:53

I tell you what then. As the only person on the planet who hasn't seen it, we can all meet up, you can then all wave me off outside the theatre and then pick me up [off the floor] afterwards in the foyer. How's THAT for a plan?
