Ah Lilliput hope it goes well this weekend! Shame you can't make it.

But hey that means we will have to do it again soon..............

Lilliput · 19/09/2007 23:03

Just come back from the restaurant. We've had a regular customer crying in the kitchen because we are closing, all a bit embarrassing really.
I know Nailpolish and Gomez are going to THE BIG ONE but how about a christmas night out? It doesn't have to be anywhere expensive, what do you all think?

GreebosWhiskers · 19/09/2007 23:14

I'd have loved to have come (am just over the bridge in Fife) but there's just no way dh would cope with all 4 dcs on his own

Hope you all have a lovely time & will keep an eye out for a xmas do thread.

nailpolish · 20/09/2007 10:48

I want to GO.

But my parents are here from Canada. Bum.

noooo fairrrrrrrrrrrrr

nailpolish · 20/09/2007 11:03

couldnt you slip away for a couple of hours?

OP posts:
mawbroon · 20/09/2007 15:50

When I posted to say I was definitely coming, I was reckoning on ds being on the mend from the awful cold he's had for two weeks. Now he's got and ear infection, diarrhoea and tonsils the size of golf balls. But he could easy recover enough in the next 48 hours so I'm not cancelling just yet. It's our wedding anniversary today and I've cancelled going out because I would feel terrible leaving him when he's so ill.

Will keep you updated.

Oh god, guilianos (dunno how to spell it either). Gives me a sore head just thinking about a work christmas night out that we had there. 500 sambucas mixed with red wine are not a good idea. Must ask dh how he got the red wine sick stains out of the carpet. Kim and Aggie would have been impressed!!

nailpolish · 20/09/2007 16:38

oh mawbroon ihope ds gets well soon
(not just so you can come to lunch, btw!)

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 21/09/2007 10:39

no luck. i think we're going to be in glasgow on saturday. oh well, i'm completely skint anyway. I'll start saving for the next one. and there had better be a next one!!

mawbroon · 21/09/2007 11:58

DS still got a fever today. He won't let me look at his tonsils, but judging by the dogbreath, I reckon they are still pretty bad. My boobs have gone up a couple of sizes from the non stop feeding.

Naily I will text you tomorrow to let you know if I can make it or not.

nailpolish · 21/09/2007 12:35

lol @ purplemonk
yes miss! we will have another

mawbroon - fingers crossed for ds

OP posts:
gomez · 21/09/2007 13:00

Ah Mawbroon hope DS isn't suffering too much and is on the mend soon. Wee scone.

Lilliput - I think Scottish Christmas Do' is a grand idea. Going to the London one certainly won't preclude me from attending another

Maybe we can try and sort something out tomorrow when there are a few of us together and then put it to the vote on here.

See the rest of you guys tomorrow.

prettybird · 21/09/2007 13:35

Looking forwad to seeing you all tomorrow.

I'll probably get the 11.30 train from Glasgow, which should mean I'll get there at 12.30 or shortly thereafter.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 22/09/2007 15:16

hmmm...still no word on how it went,

C'mon already! I want the gos!

mawbroon · 22/09/2007 18:16

Hi girls. I'm so sorry I had to rush off. I really enjoyed myself and hope that you all had a nice time too. I was panicking about ds a bit when I was working out the money, so please let me know if I was short with what I left.

I called dh when I got to Princes Street and ds was still crying and shouting mummy, then when I was around half way home, I called again and he was fine. The two of them started walking along the path at the back of the house to meet me off the bus and ds couldn't have cared less when he actually saw me. But then he wanted milk about a thousand times over the next hour.

Thanks for organising it nailpolish and I'm definitely up for a Christmas night out.

mawbroon · 23/09/2007 13:30

I'm beginning to think that you lassies are still in the pub!!

gomez · 23/09/2007 21:18

They could very well be Mawbroon. I left shortly after you to catch the 4pm train and I am not convinced the boozing was done!

It was a really nice lunch - thanks everyone. A good gossip, nice food and a couple of glasses of wine sure made the time fly.

Mawbroon I think you probably left too much money love so please don't worry about that. Pleased that DS had 'recovered' somewhat from his distress and I hope he has been on the mend since.

Nailpolish will I am sure be along soon to get us organised for a Celtic Christmas Gathering!

ProjectIcarusinhercar · 23/09/2007 21:21
