OP posts:
nailpolish · 18/09/2007 11:30

hendersons?

OP posts:
prettybird · 18/09/2007 11:33

I won't have ds - he is going to go to the party slightly early (so that dh can still get to his football on time) and BIL will pick him up (not unreasonable, given that dh will have taken their ds1 to the football).

So I'm free!

Actually there is a catch..... dh has said I've got to talk to you lot about why I'm miserable at the moment - and maybe I'll then be more able to talk to him and we can start to sort things. I'm hopeless at talking aobut my feelings and bottle them up all the time, looking like I'm coping and a superwoman. (It's not probelms with him BTW - he's being a star! )

nailpolish · 18/09/2007 11:35

standing order?
tiles?
all bar one?
bar 38?
indigo yards?

has anyone been to the omni centre beside the playhouse?
(thinking of child friendly-ish places to go...)

OP posts:
nailpolish · 18/09/2007 11:36

oh great (not that i dotn want to meet ds, but its nice to have no children once a while isnt it?)

so PB i nominate you to decide where to go

OP posts:
prettybird · 18/09/2007 11:53

But I'm a Weegie and don't know Edinburgh >>>>

Tigerlily looks cool ;) - I'd love to go there, and its day menu looks nice. If everyone is comfortable with the prices, let's go there.

If we need somewhere more reasonable, then Hendersons is always good. (It's about the only place in edinburgh I do know - but then, it has been there for years and years.

mawbroon · 18/09/2007 11:58

I think I can come, will double check with DH that there's nothing else planned.

I'm so out of touch with going oot places in edinburgh. Have never even heard of Tigerlilly

nailpolish · 18/09/2007 12:03

ok lets go to tigerlily
mawbroon - its along george st - along the west end side
1pm?
ill meet you outside
(hate going in alone and being first one there )

OP posts:
nailpolish · 18/09/2007 12:04

is everyone ok with tigerlily?

OP posts:
prettybird · 18/09/2007 12:14

Niether have I (I just clicked on the link that Nailpolish gave) - the only one I recognise is Hendersons Ecept of the course, the national chains like All Bar One.

It looks quite nice for a "girly" lunch.

I do know where George Street is though, so would be able to find it from Waverley.

nailpolish · 18/09/2007 12:16

prettybird you should get in touch with gomez - she coming on the train - perhaps you could meet her in waveerly frst

nailpolish · 18/09/2007 12:35

would everyone rather go to hendersons?

i am totally not bothered

OP posts:
prettybird · 18/09/2007 12:39

I'd rather Tigerlily - t looks a wee bit "special". But I apprecaite it's a wee bit pricier than Henersons (I presume - it's 7 years since I last ate at henderson - can time it, 'cos Iwas heavily pregnant with ds).

nailpolish · 18/09/2007 12:40

ok lets go to tigerlily
its not every day we get to go out is it?
we can buy wine by the bottle (its cheaper that way, honest!)

OP posts:
mawbroon · 18/09/2007 12:47

Wine

Dull TTer here I'm afraid.

I'm sure they do very nice eau de tap though

gomez · 18/09/2007 13:35

Tigerlily very nice. PB sorry your blue, a nice lunch might help.

Mawbroon we have met before when I was I think heavily up duff with DS and Pruners I am quite excited at meeting you.

Slight spanner in the works is DH is heading of later on Saturday afternoon so if at all possible could we perhaps, maybe pretty please meet a earlier (12 as opposed to 1) just so I have more time. I can still do 1pm and am waiting on DH confirming what time he needs to leave but I might be a bit rushed. Anyhoo I will be there.

gomez · 18/09/2007 13:36

Might be worth booking a table thou'?

What do you think Nailpolish?

nailpolish · 18/09/2007 13:54
