Grandmas anyone? (next week?)

OP posts:
Browny · 22/10/2007 23:16

Jammy, no, we didn't go to Southport, I decided to tackle the 'laundry room' (formerly called the conservatory), it was a job and a half but it looks lovely now, my brother came around and asked me where I'd put it all.... just hope dh doesn't look in his shed!.

So, what park are we off to on Friday?.

gigglewitch · 23/10/2007 00:01

LOL at last post browny. may be around fri am but (no offence ladies) hopefully we won't.

I have every other fri off tho .
Thurs is looking shamefully empty yet and my brain has resigned from it's former role and does not think of clever things to do in cold october half term any more. Twas baby no 3 that ruined it.
And DD decided three weeks ago that she is toilet trained so (daa da da daaa) she shall have potty wherever she goes!! Will look a bit of a pr@t taking the pink potty on the train to liverpool as the boys suggested. Need mum-type company methinks.

JaamityvilleHorror · 23/10/2007 18:44

Just as an aside - will get back to the meet-up organisation shortly:

Can everyone please visit:

www.shakespearenorth.com

And sign up to become a friend of Shakespeare North. It won't cost you anything and the worst thing that will happen is that you get a few letters telling you all about this project. Best thing that can happen is that there will be a brand new theatre/childrens education/meeting venue built in Prescot. They say it will rival the Swan Theatre in Stratford (I know, hard to believe) but after the dissing that Knowsley got by Phil and Kirstie it would be great to have something like this on Merseyside.

Get all your friends to sign up too. The final presentation is in London on 6th Nov so they need as much support as possible before then.

Oh, and there'll be lots of children's events that we can drag our DCs along to! (from a totally selfish point of view)

Thanks

maisiedaisy · 23/10/2007 20:35

Have just done it Jaaamy

omeN666 · 23/10/2007 21:03

done

Screaminglips · 23/10/2007 21:09

how do i register it in when its in American???

JaamityvilleHorror · 23/10/2007 21:15

BL - ??????

Screaminglips · 23/10/2007 21:18

for me to register..it showing "Zip code" (postcode) and the "State"...do i just type in as normally?

JaamityvilleHorror · 23/10/2007 21:24

Sorry, didn't realise - I filled in my form by post. Suppose you should just put in postcode for zipcode if you want, although I see that it's not a required field so don't really need that info. Naughty of them to use a US form, though!

Thanks for doing this, folks. I think it will be a really really great project if they win the funding. Did you know that Shakespeare used to visit Knowsley Hall? Bet P&K didn't know that!

JaamityvilleHorror · 23/10/2007 21:29

Speaking of which - anybody else not had any post since the strike finished? We;ve had nothing for over 2 weeks now. Bit worried as I know that at least 2 friends that couldn't make it to the party had posted A's birthday presents and family will have sent cards (and money). I know there'll be a back log but to have not had any post at all?

Screaminglips · 23/10/2007 21:31

yes we started getting post Monday just gone as had no post for 3 weeks!!!...it will take about 2 weeks to get it all back to normal

Screaminglips · 23/10/2007 21:32

oh and done

JaamityvilleHorror · 23/10/2007 21:39

Thanks!

JaamityvilleHorror · 23/10/2007 21:41

So...Friday? Are we gonna wait and see what the weather's like?

I've never been to Otterspool, I believe that's a good park?

Or Calderstones or Sefton or Taylor...Maybe Taylor is a bit far out for some?

gigglewitch · 23/10/2007 21:44

me too. By great coincidence we're off to stratford at the weekend!!

Screaminglips · 23/10/2007 21:44

otterspool is the pub im thinking of?? By the River Mersey??

Ive got no car this week and prob next week so i would like somewhere close to the train station

JaamityvilleHorror · 23/10/2007 21:51

Have no idea BL, thought it wasn't too far from Claderstones. I could probably pick you and DD up/drop off from a nearby station if we end up going too far for you to walk to. But we need to keep near to a station for Browny and co and any one else who doesn't drive, too.

Gigglewitch - at Stratford. Do you think visitors will flock to Prescot in another few years the way they do to Stratford??? Can't see it really but worth a try. Have a fab time.

Now I'm peling myself away from this blasted PC and going to go and do something productive...honest!

Browny · 24/10/2007 10:53

Jammy, Otterspool prom starts at Cressington and runs through to almost by the Albert Dock and BL's yes you are right, the pub's name is the 'Otterspool' and there's a brilliant new play area there now.

To be honest though, Calderstones would be easier and faster for me to walk to, but I don't really mind..

maisiedaisy · 24/10/2007 13:27

I haven't been out of the house since Sunday so I don't care were we go as long as it's out!

omeN666 · 24/10/2007 15:20

hows it going maisie?

I dont mind where we go as long as cheap and cheerful. Otterspool park is great and not like tradditional slide and swing park, however of course it will be colder due to the wind. Calderstones great park as always.
Anywhere not fussed as long as i get out!!!

PIL taking A to museum tommorow so just me and the girls..woo hoo. Although H chest going bad again..burloody asthma.C is very proud of the fact she can take steps now and has been showing off to anyone who will look at her then claps herself..and she has 3 new teeth!!!!

Screaminglips · 24/10/2007 15:27

aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh nemo!

omeN666 · 24/10/2007 15:31

I know BL horrible isnt it..she is growing up really quickly..even made DH briefly mention anotherAlthough at the min am 2wks late but tests have come up neg and we have not intentionally been trying so am hoping it is just stress.

maisiedaisy · 24/10/2007 15:36

Not gone well nemo, have just given up.

M got up at 9 and hadn't weed by 3 o clock - 6 hours.

She kept sitting on potty but nothing happening. This happened yesterday too.

She getting upset cos she wants packet of buttons that i said she could have when she weed or pooed in potty.

I'm getting upset in case she is holdng it in and causing herself some damage.
She is i bed with pull up on so hopefully she will 'go'
Feel like a failure but not worth continuing if we are both crying!
So looking forward to friday.

Well done to C, what a big girl!

maisiedaisy · 24/10/2007 15:37

Oh my word, maybe another little fish!

omeN666 · 24/10/2007 15:37
