(Sheffield) Zooby's lunch time meet

As the new term is upon us I thought it was time we should try and ressurect the Zooby's fan club!

I am still working same days so can do Monday or Fridays. We used to do Fridays before if that is still best for everyone.

For new comers:

Zoobys is the little coffe/sandwich bar in the corner of the Winter Gardens. It sells yummy sandwiches. I adore the humous and roasted veg one. And lovely coffee. DD (age 2) loves the children's banana sandwich too.

Winter gardens has plenty of room for little ones to have a wander and a bit of a play. If really nice weather we can always dispatch to Peace Gardens round corner for picnic on the grass.

Used to do lunch times - what time was it? 12:15 or 13:30 ish???

I know Wedgiesmum is no longer working in Sheffield so probably can't make these any more - sure we can manage some other meets as well though, yes? And although Maisiestar isn't online so much now I have her contact number so can invite her and her DS along as well.

So when and who???

These are dates I can do:

Mon 27th Sept
Fri 1st Oct
Mon 4th Oct
Fri 15th Oct
Mon 18th Oct

Then on holiday as half term.

I may be able to do Fri 22 Oct if an earlish meet. have a wedding that afternoon and evening.

Close to station. Can give you proper directions later, but only 5 minutes walk I'd say.

La la la la la (fingers in ears) can't hear what you are saying. Can then pretend you aren't going without me . Could we do one in half term week too (pathetic sob)???

Hulababy · 21/09/2004 22:02

Hi WM I'll bring you a sandwich next time I see you!

BTW,, WM - have you seen the classroom assistant thread; someone may need your advice and info!

I can't do half term week - you guys can obviously though. Going to France.

WedgiesMum · 21/09/2004 22:15

France??? Did you put that on your MN annual leave card????

Just seen the CA thread thanks Hula!

Got Zooby's withdrawal, but it's the only thing I miss about the job at Sheffield!

Hulababy · 22/09/2004 17:42

LOL! I know, It's only 4 weeks since I got back from Florida, but already feel need for this one - it'll be way more relaxed!

You'll have to come over and we can go to Zoobys sometime.

OK. Just trying to think how to explain how to get there. Or, if you want, I can meet you at the station and walk over with you - may be easier than trying to explain. It's not far at all, but I can't picture it in my head right now!

That's fine with me.

Don't worry about the train. It'll be fine I have only done it a couple of times on my own. First time was when DD was about 22 months though - went to Newcastle to meet Popsycal. Even had to change trains too. But was good

I'll be there but i'm not too sure wher the winter gardens are. I stumbled across it a few weeks ago when i was in the city. I should find it again. If you can give me directions though it would be helpful. I'm coming by tram and i know my way to yates as i worked there

katzguk · 26/09/2004 12:34

count me in, will pop down from work so will be childless as per usual! Hula will vouch for my DD really existing.

Hulababy · 26/09/2004 20:43

Excellent to see you are all able to come

Katzguk really does have a DD - a very lovely, adorable one too!

Winter Gardens and how to find? Where are you coming from?

Ok - imagine you are on the road junction where Gap is behind you on right, jewellry shop behind to left, Virgin Music is on left too, town hall in front to left of you. Road straight ahead of you, down side of town hall. Go straight down there - Winter Gardens is down there on left (the theatres are on right; central library ahead). Does that make sense?
