Carmenere, any more news on the buffet option at BBar?

Tortington · 01/08/2007 10:17

i have just had a phone call from the entertainment company organisers for the hilton.

there is no service charge

the final cost will be £29.92

Own drinks paid for at bar - no bar bill

Veggie option - will ring back in a minute

deposit is needed by end of august of £20

you cannot pay them individually the funds will have to come from a central pot.

there will be a covered out side smoking area

I assume that is a deposit of £20 per person rather than just £20. Any idea how pricey the drinks are?

Tortington · 01/08/2007 10:19

veggetarian option - you tell them what you want they will cook it

i asked how much a bottle fo beer is so we can gauge prices

£3.95

glass of wine

£from 6.00

the 1/2 bottle fo wine included - is per person

not per table

so there is 1/2 bottle wine per person

OP posts:
Tortington · 01/08/2007 10:20

thats the trouble with cope & paste

£29.96 not 92

OP posts:
Tortington · 01/08/2007 10:21

cannot pay individually have to pay as a group.

have to pay £20 deposit each by end of august.

there is no service charge

final price £29.96 buy your own drinks at the bar

JeremyVile · 01/08/2007 10:31

I think most of us realise it doesn't matter a hell of a lot where it is.

I admire all of you who are trying to organise this cos im fucked if i would.

zippit · 01/08/2007 10:31

Can I suggest something, Custy? (you know I will anyway)

How about if we give Carmenere time to gather some info on BBar (say until Friday)

And then we put the two options (Hilton vs. BBar) up for a vote on Friday, leave the thread open until Tuesday night at say midnight. Tally the votes and whichever place wins then fine we all be quiet and accept it.

Would that be okay with you, oh great organiser?

Tortington · 01/08/2007 10:33

right off to work with me.
busy busy work work bang bang

OP posts:
zippit · 01/08/2007 10:34

i think i have come into an argument have I..what cones of having an mn break

Tortington · 01/08/2007 10:35

in my opinion the voting wont work.

democracy in thse situations becomes messy.

but whatever the people want

OP posts:
OliveIsSoNotHereAndOnABreak · 01/08/2007 10:35

custardo - can you find out the colour of the curtains in the rooms, I am v fragile and can not ABIDE flounce

also, how many potatoes do we get with the meal?

thanks

will think of more ridiculous queries for you in a bit

eleusis · 01/08/2007 10:35

It's not an argument. Just lots of tooing and froing in the interest of coming up with a Christmas bash that please most. That's all.

CountessDracula · 01/08/2007 10:36

voting won't work
in what way?

Just give people say 3 days to vote and the place with most votes wins

JeremyVile · 01/08/2007 10:36

Agree with Custy - wasn't there a vote on the dates, the result of which went out the window?
