heheh
where are you?

yeahinaminute · 31/07/2007 12:47

Oh please don't start titting around with it all - I've booked DH's club for the 1st December for the Walrus and me ....

Hilton Christmas do's do just what they say on the tin - food, music, crackers with naff motto's etc ...... and for 35 jimmy o'goblin's

Please please stick to 1st Dec at the Hilton

There are people travelling from outside the capital you know !!!

eleusis · 31/07/2007 12:48

How bou if we stick to December 1st. But possibly not the Hilton?

yeahinaminute · 31/07/2007 12:49

Fine - whatever

JeremyVile · 31/07/2007 12:53

I've a great suggestion...

How about....

Everyone leaves their OCD control issues at the door,

someone comes up with a time and place,

and we all say "Why, thank you very much - see you there".

...Or would that just be far too civilised?

eleusis · 31/07/2007 12:56

How bout you go see a nice man in a white coat about a chill pill.

JeremyVile · 31/07/2007 12:57

See, that could, in the right circumstances, be quite funny........

eleusis · 31/07/2007 13:03

Carmenere,
Can you get a bit more info from the bbar. I think it looks good. I can e-mail them but I can't chat on the phone from work. And bot h of the places I emailed easrlier wrote back and asked for a phone number.

yeahinaminute · 31/07/2007 13:04

Ele - As long as it remains the 1st the Walrus and I will be OK we'll be staying in St James so something not a million miles away and within a sensible budget will suit - But please remember it's a bugger for us out of towners to get rooms

JARM · 31/07/2007 13:07

midwife in attendance in case i havent dropped or possible to bring baby who will be days old? (due 26th nov?!)

or is that really asking too much?!

StarryStarryNight · 31/07/2007 13:10

CD - I am in SW15, but kids go to school in SW14. So, I am usually to be found in Putney, East Sheen, Mortlake, Kew and Barnes...

VeniVidiVickiQV · 31/07/2007 13:13

That is exactly what custy did

So, those who DONT have paypal - please CAT me. We will see what we can do. Okay?

(Although, I have to say, setting up a Paypal account is a Piece Of Piss, and you can use it just the once and never again no problem - all you need is a bank account).

I need to look into the Paypal thing. Paypal DO charge a commission to transfer funds (unless its to another paypal account) so that will need to be incorporated in the cost, coz i'll be fucked if I'm absorbing it . But, spread over 40 or 50 people that shouldnt be a problem.

Is everyone happy with that?

I think I have paypal - used it once about a year or so ago - so will have to remember how to reactivate it

So a tentative yes from me and I'll do the Walruses as well

Carmenere · 31/07/2007 14:43

Ok I have emailed Bbar re booking and asked if they organise a dj. The wines start from £15 and Mojitos are £6. The prices aren't very cheap but don't seem extortionate and the menu looks really quite good with the likes of courgette and feta cakes for veggies so it is at least a bit imaginative. It is also owned by Bill Grainger the lovely blonde Australian chef who is sometimes on the telly

eleusis · 31/07/2007 14:50

£15 for a glass of wine?

I will be drinking beer then.

eleusis · 31/07/2007 14:51

Thanks, Carmenere.

yeahinaminute · 31/07/2007 14:51

I'll stuff a few hip flasks in me knickers

eleusis · 31/07/2007 14:53

Yeah, all we really need is a nearby hotel room where we can fill up with cheap booze.

Carmenere · 31/07/2007 14:55

£15 a bottle of course Elusis, I mean I'm not totally unhinged, I understand the basic requirements of a mn meet up

eleusis · 31/07/2007 14:58

I think those prices are bottles, not glasses. And I don't think £15 is very much for a bottle... is it?

eleusis · 31/07/2007 14:58

eleusis · 31/07/2007 14:59

Ah, okay.

I think you are going to get the prize for the best chosen venue. Just a hunch...

Tortington · 31/07/2007 15:08
