17th November had the most votes, and I think it's time an executive decision is made.

You know the routine. Copy and paste your name into place.

I'll quite happily sort out paypal/money side of things if a venue is sorted agreed on.

(Venue details you posted looked fine to me. I just want to be able to sit, have something to eat, and talk).

But not if its on the 10th or 17th of November when I CANNOT attend

I'm not sorting out money if im farking going to be there

(tis vvvqv btw)

Tortington · 30/07/2007 13:43

looks like for this partic venue - it would have to be the 2nd december

idle · 30/07/2007 13:44

Then I'll sort the finances quite happily

eleusis · 30/07/2007 13:54

Do you mean the 1st? The 2nd is a Sunday, and I have to go to work on Monday.

OP posts:
Tortington · 30/07/2007 13:56

yes yes sorry 1st 1st 1st

Tortington · 30/07/2007 13:57

i'll start a new thread - i just can't keep my fucking fingers out can i - tell me to fuck off elusis if i have pissed you off.

..but tell me on the new thread.

eleusis · 30/07/2007 13:58

Idle, maybe if you e-mail mumsnet towers you get a bit on the front page with link to how to pay for the event.

OP posts:
eleusis · 30/07/2007 13:59

no no... you haven't pissed me off.

Where are you going to stay?

OP posts:
Tortington · 30/07/2007 14:00

i usually stop at scummymummy's house - she doesn't know it yet

eleusis · 30/07/2007 14:04

I think CD is going to kill you, BTW. But, I''l enjoy watching the bloodshed. You beter keep garlic close by for the foreseeable future.

Where's the new thread?

OP posts:
Tortington · 30/07/2007 14:04

i know

magnolia1 · 30/07/2007 14:06

Oh Perleeeaaaseeeee don't do the 1st! Any date but that one. Ds1 will be having his 1st birthday party and Dh will not like me If I miss it

CountessDracula · 30/07/2007 14:10

oh gawd
i didn't mean to fix the date just for me!

Honestly
book whatever you want whenever you want and I will come if I can
In dec will be v unlikely but you never know

I seem to remember last year it was in November because everyone has too much on in Dec...

StarryStarryNight · 30/07/2007 14:58

Oh FFS!!!

Wasnt the date already voted on? Weeks ago?

And now people come on saying, "oh no, not THAT day, I have to go to work the next day", "OH I am busy" etc.

Maybe we arrange ONE mumsnet meet for EACH member?

WideWebWitch · 30/07/2007 15:00

lol at half a bottle per table per minute

eleusis · 30/07/2007 15:11

I know, Starry. I thought so too. And, who knows, maybe someone else will protest and change the date and place again.

Watch this space...

StarryStarryNight · 30/07/2007 15:16

Doing my head in Eleusis, I think I will leave this well alone, and check back on the Meet Up section at the beginning of November, and take the attitude, if I can, I come!

If you keep faffing about like this NOBODY will want to commit to ANY date and there will be no meet! People will lose interest and say "Fuck the meet"

StarryStarryNight · 30/07/2007 15:17

And of course not you Personally, Eleusis, YOU PLURAL!

eleusis · 30/07/2007 15:19

Well, I was only trying to help by pushing people to a decision. But, LGJ made it clear that she though I had no such autohirity.

I personally think putting it in December ia a mistake bacause it will conflict with other Christmas parties. But, hey ho, it is what it is. If you want to air your dissatisfaction you should probably say so on the other thread. Probably no one is reading this one anymore.

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 30/07/2007 17:03

actually there was a vote
17 november had the most
but then someone decided on 1 Dec randomly!

Heathcliffscathy · 30/07/2007 17:05

there will be no area for smokers custy as it is now illegal in enclosed places.

Ladymuck · 30/07/2007 17:17

Without wanting to be the geeky one the website does say that the price per head is excl VAT.

eleusis · 30/07/2007 17:37

So it's more like £30 for the meal (plus the tip of course).

OP posts:
eleusis · 30/07/2007 17:38

Another Islington venue has been suggested on other thread. Might be worth looking into.

OP posts:
StarryStarryNight · 30/07/2007 17:41

I just suggested a Putney venue, have no clue about the pricing, I recently went to a friends 10th wedding anniversary there with some 120 guests. Fab location, could be too pricy though. Depends on how many signs up. hint hint.
