Hi, yes, thanks Fisil and CD. A very good night!

Lovely to meet you all - you are all extremely nice people (though NOBODY looks quite as I imagined them!)

willow2 · 16/05/2004 10:56

Good morning all. Fab night out, thanks F and CD, shame didn't get to chat to all of you.

Just one thing, if anyone ever sees me drinking espresso and then going on to Beetroot's hotel bar, and ordering more of the stuff, can they stop me from drinking it? Have hardly slept a wink thanks to coffee overload - although it does seem to have wiped out any hangover.
Alternatively, could still be drunk and hangover yet to hit me.

bettys · 16/05/2004 11:11

Great night, thanks CD & Fisil.
However due to Trinny & Susannah style teachings from Beetroot in her hotel bar I have been through my bra drawer & realised they are all deeply sad and I need to spend money.
Bet the wedding guests were fascinated by all the cupping motions & hoicking of bra straps that were going on!

willow2 · 16/05/2004 11:16

Likewise - Sheen Uncovered here we come.

motherinferior · 16/05/2004 11:25

Lovely evening, and thank you particularly to everyone who put up with my 'I've just arrived and I don't know anyone!' strop (too much time with dd1, methinks).

Nobody looked how I expected them AT ALL.

fairyfly · 16/05/2004 11:48

Sykes and i just want to say thankyou very much, the last thing i remember is eating Advocado and the rest of the night is blurred. We have bruises on our knees. Nobody looks at all as i imagined, it's really strange. Thanks again, ff xa

CD and Fisil, thanks so much for organising...was a great night. No one looked at all as I expected (apart from you cod, colouring wise). Everyone was lovely. I was utterly crap at mingling (stayed with arse stuck to same chair all night)...sorry.

beetroot quite the opposite, i'm going to email you in a stalker way...

i am stunned that i managed to escape a terrible hangover (not like me at all), but just as well as ds decided 5.40am would be an appropriate time to wake up this morning...

xxx

CountessDracula · 16/05/2004 15:44

What a great evening!

So good to meet you all, despite not waking up till 12 today I still feel a bit ropey!

Highlights of the evening for me

PPH's shoes
Beetroot having straight hair not curly
Coddy being quite fierce really (in the end)
Stuffing skykes and ff into a cab that wasn't theirs with a Rod Stewart impersonater who was going "somewhere in surrey"!! LOL hope you made it back ok
Staggering up the hill with Bouj
And the bra consultation was very fine indeed

Bettys hope you weren't in too much trouble when you got in!!

willow2 · 16/05/2004 15:50

DP will be so disappointed that I missed breast fondling!

I had a really great night, and ds managed through until 7, and a nice long sleep at lunchtime, so I have just about recovered. I used to be able to take my drink! I think that maybe there were really low ceilings there and so I hit my head a lot!

Anyway, it was really great to meet you all - and everyone was so much younger and more glam (especially you Beety) than I had imagined!

bettys · 16/05/2004 19:08

CD how come you get to stay in bed till 12? Jammy sod.
Luckily dp was asleep when I got in so I apologised profusely this morning for not letting him know I was going to be so late, made him a cup of tea & sewed a couple of buttons on his shirts & everything's cool again. Phew!

Bouj · 16/05/2004 19:14

I think I am going to live, just.... Lol CD, I'd forgotten about Rod Stewart!! I can't believe how rough I felt all day, which was a great source of amusement for DH. Pamina, I've got your photo of your girls. CD, did you find yours? I didn't!! Terrible mummy... And, I have someone's glasses (???) No idea whose, or why... But if you're missing some, let me know!! Looking forward to the next one!

willow2 · 16/05/2004 19:48

Beets - nah, and I'm sure it gave the bar a thrill. (Let's be honest here, didn't look like the most exciting wedding in the world.)Frankly I knew that bra wasn't a great fit but it was the only one that went ok under the jumper! You have given me the kick I needed to get my wallet out and get some new ones. CD and I have already booked out Tuesday. Will email you photos. (Joking - that would be a bit weird)
