Just wanted to see how many other Kiwi mums there were out there. I know there are a few of us!

My name is Jen, I am 25 and have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and we live in Epsom in the South west. I have lived all over NZ- Palmerston North, Nelson (Motueka), Hamilton, Auckland and Wellington!

Jennnz ... now, are you roll calling kiwi mums in NZ or kiwi mums in England or kiwi mums world wide or indeed british mums in New Zealand? And while I am here - is it Epsom in Auckland where you live or Epsom, Surrey?
I am a brit, soon to be officially a kiwi, living in Auckland

Jennnz · 18/09/2006 16:49

Me too - live in Wimbledon, 40 (gulp - am I the oldest?) and have two kids, DS (almost 5) and DD (almost 2). Originally from New Plymouth but spent years as student/civil servant in Wellington.

Am a first time mum at 40, originally from Auckland and have been living in London for 2 1/2 years. My beautiful wee boy is 3 months old. KB7777, I'm in Bethnal Green. Whereabouts are you?

Kaybee7777 · 29/09/2006 16:53

I am in South Woodford, kiwikat, so a bit further out on the central line!

Jennnz · 29/09/2006 18:24

Good to see so many of us around and about! We have been here for about 4 months and are really enjoying it- although we haven't had a winter as of yet! Great to see so many Wellingtonians too We will definitly be settling there when we head back in a few years.

I went to Vic Uni as well but I went a bit later than normal had a coupla Gap years working

Kaybee7777 · 06/10/2006 12:49

We are hopefully heading back to Welly mid next year. (Well it's 'back' for me but my DH is English) We just bought a house there so are really looking foward to getting settled
Is everyone else staying here long term/going back to NZ ??

Piffle · 06/10/2006 12:52

We thought about it but did not want to separate ds12 from his natural father who now lives in the UK to be near him (he is also a kiwi)
But we are thinking about it again when ds finishes secondary school OR if dp needs to change job or we need to mvoe again I have said if I move again then it's going to be to NZ as ds is in secondary school.
Where abuts in Welly are you going back to, wheres your house kaybee?
(nostalgic bird here)

Kaybee7777 · 06/10/2006 13:31

Our house is in Ngaio. It's our first house, we are only renting here.

It's such a hard decision whether to go back or stay here, as my DH's family are here and all his friends, and mine are in NZ! Whatever we do one of us loses out in a way. But we are gonna give NZ a go. At least he really likes it out there so that's a bonus. I guess we can always move back !
