Oh, I just thought ... do you think it'd be daft to start a thread in Chat? Since that is where lots of people found the original thread? I mean, I never check Meet Ups myself so I'd never find this without knowing about it.

Hmmm, I can't help but feel that posting in chat would turn this from a Feminist Meet-Up to another general MN meet-up. And while I am a great fan of general MN meetups, I'm quite excited about one full of actual feminists. I mean, I realise we won't just talk feminism all night, but it will be awesome to know that whatever conversation we have will start from a baseline of the same basic grounding in feminism, meaning I won't have to listen to, for example, someone prattle on about how she went behind her DH's back and had her DS circumcised against his wishes, which happened at a previous meetup!

Lucky there was a mohel(et?) there to do it, with their kit. Obviously people come to your meetings prepared for anything!
