Christmas Meet Up for all the Gin Hags (and Wine Witches and Vodka Vixens)

Righto, we're at that time of the year again where a Christmas Piss Up in London Town is needed. I propose a date a few weeks before so as many as possible can join in - how about Saturday 23rd November.

This has only been mooted last night, so I've not even got a venue as yet, but I have some ideas. I will, of course and usual, try to make it an easily get-to-able-near-a-traveldodgy place so that those that come into London can take advantage of cheapy rooms in advance.

So...please can y'all start putting names down so I have an idea of numbers initially and I'll get cracking with a venue in the next week or so. Further down the line I'll put the usual FB Group together (for those who are both on FB and happy to join) - I won't be posting the venue on MN as I'd prefer the hairy of hand not to know. Those not on FB I'll chat via PM near the time.

Back from pub. Completely pissed. DH very impressed.

Definite plans to make v v large punchable cake and eat kebabs.

Married honey please don't be stressed and please come!!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 27/09/2013 22:59

Maryz

From Stansted you can take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street Station in the City.

From Heathrow, Heathrow Express to Paddington; Gatwick Express goes to Victoria I believe.

From Luton you can take a coach to Victoria coach station for very cheap and tube it from there to pretty much everywhere. Even better, get off coach at Finchley Road (north London) which is about 5 min from mine - we would love to host you!!

ExitPursuedByADragon · 27/09/2013 23:02

So easy!

BIWI · 27/09/2013 23:14

Maryz - you must come!

Oh, and I am the oldest, I reckon. I'm 54. Although I prefer to act my shoe size, which is 37.

BellaVita · 27/09/2013 23:49

I luffs you all bit pissed

Blondes and I are sharing a room ( we have slept together before you know).

I loved the cake and the chocs last time .

Kebabs are the food of gods when you are drunk. Tickled me Porto about the taxi ride back to Franks last Sept ??.

And yes Annie, you look about 12 bitch.

My mouth has gone numb Shock

AnnieLobeseder · 27/09/2013 23:55

Not to worry folks, I don't look 12 any more! The past year has turned me very grey!!

DancesWithWoolEnPointe · 28/09/2013 06:47

I'm 37 at this exact moment but will be 38 next weekend. Please will someone tell me I look 17?

BellaVita · 28/09/2013 07:29

Dances my darling, you don't look a day over 17.

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 28/09/2013 07:54

magimedi · 28/09/2013 08:02

DancesWithWoolEnPointe · 28/09/2013 10:15

Thank you Bella . My shoes size is bigger than my age

DancesWithWoolEnPointe · 28/09/2013 10:17

Coolwhip, you whipper-snapper - belt up.

Isn't LaGavrOrf in her 20s? She looks about 12.

We need more youngsters, we wouldn't want to be a meet up of boring old farts

DancesWithWoolEnPointe · 28/09/2013 10:19

Dragons - Prettybird is talking for coming from norf of the boarder - that must also count for something Smile

DancesWithWoolEnPointe · 28/09/2013 10:23

Buffy - a lot of us have met before at these things, but we all went the first time knowing no-one except me who cheated as I've known AnnieL for 20 years but ignore that fact Please come along - MN meet ups are epic! That is why we all go again and again. And next time it will be your drunken escapes we are reminiscing about (I certainly need to pass on the mantle since the Boris Bike incident)

Oh and drinking before hand is not just positively encouraged, it is actually a prerequisite. There are pre-drinks, pre-pre-drinks and drinks at the station before you leave your own town Grin

Oh Buffy! You will fit right in! Grin

AnnieLobeseder · 28/09/2013 11:17

Ha ha ha ha, Buffy, you absolutely have to come. You sound like an awesome person to have at a party.

MN meetups cured my of my incurable shyness and inability to socialise at social events. True fact!!! Grin

KnottyLocks · 28/09/2013 11:18

Parking my arse while I check my social diary Smile

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 28/09/2013 11:23

I will be restrained at this one. I would like to get to the end of a meet up, properly being able to remember the people I've met.

Buffy, at my first one I not only didn't know anyone but also endured enjoyed a chauffeur driven journey up with Hepsibar, who I'd never met before. She is, incidentally, quite awesome. Not in a bum-licking kind of way (I'm just not that sort of girl).

I got very drunk and ended up dancing maniacally to Queen. I still have the pictures somewhere.... Grin

Ready to do it all again this year!
