Righto, we're at that time of the year again where a Christmas Piss Up in London Town is needed. I propose a date a few weeks before so as many as possible can join in - how about Saturday 23rd November.

This has only been mooted last night, so I've not even got a venue as yet, but I have some ideas. I will, of course and usual, try to make it an easily get-to-able-near-a-traveldodgy place so that those that come into London can take advantage of cheapy rooms in advance.

So...please can y'all start putting names down so I have an idea of numbers initially and I'll get cracking with a venue in the next week or so. Further down the line I'll put the usual FB Group together (for those who are both on FB and happy to join) - I won't be posting the venue on MN as I'd prefer the hairy of hand not to know. Those not on FB I'll chat via PM near the time.

Does this mean you're considering coming along MABS? Grin

MrsHelsBels74 · 02/10/2013 20:48

Come on MABS, you know you can't resist!!

HepsibubbleCauldronToad · 02/10/2013 20:54

Yes MABS please come.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 02/10/2013 21:20

Ditto MABS

Evening all.

I really like those shoes too but it's a moot point (or a moo point, like a point a cow would make, if we are referencing Friends) (Joey) because I have wide size 9 feet and can never find shoes that fucking fit me.

There used to be a tranny shoe shop in Carnaby Street where you could get some awesome heels in like size 12 but alas they are no more and I have been too lazy to google or anything.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 02/10/2013 21:37

Thanks for the compliments married - like most of us I just post as I feel and possibly am slightly more complicated and less boxable than anyone might think. I find it's a good place to explore those boundaries Smile Will look out for your feisty posts too, that may have ducked under the radar Wink

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/10/2013 21:41

Yes lovely MABS - come!

Last year it was freeeeeeezing. Not in the pub. Just generally.

HepsibubbleCauldronToad · 03/10/2013 12:30

Venue sorted and booked AND we persuaded them to waive room hire. A mere stumble minute from the tube. It's a really lovely place and even Dickens used to frequent the gaff!

Busy drinking gin so will update properly when home.

ExitPursuedByADragon · 03/10/2013 12:32

Drinking gin. At lunchtime.

The shame Wink

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 03/10/2013 12:33

You silver tongued ladies!

Enjoy the gin. I'm drinking coffee at my desk and I'm not at all jealous. cowbag

BIWIZ · 03/10/2013 13:08

I've just been for a run in the fog/rain. No gin here [grim]

ExitPursuedByADragon · 03/10/2013 13:13

Are you still oop North BIWIZ?

It has been lovely all morning this side of the Pennines.

I never/can't drink at lunchtime

MrsHelsBels74 · 03/10/2013 13:13

I'm feeling a bit guilty about coming now, it's just dawned on me that it's DH's birthday on the Sunday. I've asked him & he says he's fine with me going but I don't know now...

CointreauVersial · 03/10/2013 13:19

Ooooo, just read the list and really want to come.

LeGavrOrf · 03/10/2013 14:11

Oh yes do come Cointreau, you are lovely.

Hearts new look do size 9 wide feet shoes, and the high heels are cushioned.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 03/10/2013 14:30

Thanks Gav, and thanks for that link Buffy - they are lovely with their soft suedette texture

I did google last night after all and I really have no excuse, do I? There are tons of lovely shoes in my size all over the place Smile

I've just never been very good at the internet shopping. At least not for clothes. What if you don't like something or it doesnt fit? I know you can return things but isn't it a big hassle getting to the post office?

And I usually like to try on about 30 different things before deciding what to get. I can't order 30 pairs of shoes and then send back 29 of them can I?

Argh I think I need to start a thread in S&B or something. Internet Shopping for Dummies.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 03/10/2013 14:40

If I ever NC I think that might be it - SoftSuedette

LeGavrOrf · 03/10/2013 14:41

I can't stand Internet shopping either. I can never tell if things fit. I ordered a load of dresses from Dorothy Perkins fashion princess for work and when they turned up they were crotch length and of crappy material. I am tall but long waisted with short legs so things can look very strange.

New Look shoes are very comfortable. I used to love that all their designs came in a size 9. But my feet have shrunk. I have been a 9 for years and now I am an 8. How can your bloody feet shrink?

BIWIZ · 03/10/2013 14:43

I am, Exit. Definitely on the wrong side of the Pennines today!

HepsibubbleCauldronToad · 03/10/2013 14:54

Cointreau you MUST come. I've out the legwork in and therefore I insist you help reap the benefits.

BIWIZ · 03/10/2013 15:04

YY Cointreau! You must come!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 03/10/2013 15:22

Agree. I love Cointreau. Both the drink and the MNer.
