Looks like rain here too! I have a 2.8 yr old and a 15 month old - both boys too!

schneebly · 26/04/2006 08:16

kintyre not quite an island but only just joined by a little bit at tarbert - I am on the south tip - only 11 miles from Ireland! It does feel pretty cut off sometimes - Closest city is Glasgow which is 140 miles! Have been to arran - it is lovely.

kirra · 26/04/2006 10:36

boys eh? do they get ok together? mine are always at eachother, they have their moments even with a big age gap. im off to glasgow this weekend to meet a couple of friends. how long does it take you to get to glasgow? from where i live just over 2hrs.

TracyK - you've moved up now! Welcome home Smile

I'm on the East shore of Loch Lomond. I've got a ds (3.5) and a dd (10 months).

Glasgow or Stirling (with good directions) are good for me.

falkirk;s pretty nice. i've been here for 5 years now.

schneebly · 27/04/2006 07:49

Keep the name - its memorable! I was just so surprised to hear someone say that on the simpsons and I laughed and DH said to me 'why are you laughing' and I just had to say 'mumsnet again!' Have been hanging around here a lot!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 27/04/2006 07:52

schneebly · 27/04/2006 07:56

Twiga · 27/04/2006 11:27

Scheebly, Dumfries is lovely - we just moved here at the start of Feb, we're just here for a year before returning to Aberdeen. Very much enjoying the country side, great walks and stuff, really friendly town too.

schneebly · 27/04/2006 11:31

we are goind for a weekend away next month and dumfries is a possible location!

Twiga · 27/04/2006 11:37

It would be a good choice, there are some fab things here for wee ones - couple of good farm parks with play barns, animals the lot - our dd should just about be big enough to appreciate come the summer (probably more for dh and I though Wink). Oh and Cream of Galloway is great - it's an ice cream makng place, can get a tour, book to create your own ice cream and i think a big outdoor play area and platform walk through forest.

kirra · 27/04/2006 12:53
