Where? Cocktails in Ebony in Durham from 7/7.30 ish then on to wherever can fit us in with an 8.30 booking within tottering distance from Ebony. My vote would be The Capital .

I've already lost it with the dcs. I have elderberry cordial but I'm wishing it were elderberry vodka. I think 10.14am while in sole charge of 3 children is probably not the best time to start drinking though. Only around 7 hours until dh gets back .

Tis sunny. I suppose when ds2 wakes from his nap (in sling of course, can't have a nap in bed and allow mummy any sort of rest) I shall get dressed and take them out to the park and hope that one of their friends is around to call on so they can run riot while I ignore them.

Failing that I will drag them to Esh Winning and back to procure cocoa powder so I can make the most gooey chocolate cake I can.

I'm still in my pjs and have decided that nursery Christmas fair is more than my sleep deprived nerves will stand. So I just have soft play party to do. and a trip Aldi.

Well we just had a quick trip to the park. You'd have thought I was torturing dd. She has screamed and tantrumed about leaving the house, going to the toilet, putting her boots on, getting a tissue, putting gloves on. Then I dragged her there. Ds ran around a bit. Just as dd was getting into playing a bit she fell over and that was game over. Took her home where she screamed and yelled about my not letting her scratch a parked car with her stick and then continued because she couldn't get her boot off. I have sent the screaming snotty child to her room where I can't hear her. I suppose I should check on her in a bit. She will eother be playing or have fallen asleep. Probably fallen asleep but since I don 't have to do bedtime tonight I don't care. In fact if she sleeps for an hour or so she stands a better chance of not being murdered.

Ds1 wanted to stay in the park but followed us home 5 mins later

Softplay plus Aldi sounds pretty good. Softplay- ignore big children. Sit and drink coffee while making sure small child is fenced into baby area. Aldi- buy scrummy cured meat and chocolate covered gingerbread which you will just have to keep out of reach of the children and eat yourself because you can't possibly guarantee that it is peanut free.

Looks like everyone wants pilau rice, why don't we just get 5x pilau rice, and split then we just need 4 naans as well - 2 plain, 1 garlic and 1 peshwari and we can just share them. The we just need SPB and DrFrozen to choose when they get to the restaurant.

I've done as kara suggested and simplified the rice/naan order a little so we'll just get 5 pilau rice, 2 plain naan, 2 garlic and 1 peshwari then the others just need to add their main choice to the order.
