dates suggested- 17th Nov, 24th Nov or 1st Dec? Majority vote wins.

Where? Cocktails in Ebony in Durham from 7/7.30 ish then on to wherever can fit us in with an 8.30 booking within tottering distance from Ebony. My vote would be The Capital Grin.

:(. I understand how hard it is though when you have to feed the baby to sleep. Been there done that with dd. Ds2 is rubbish at sleeping but so long as I've fed him recently he will merrily go to sleep on dh. I am fully expectig a call home at 10.30 though, that is his time after which he stops allowing dh to resettle him and he needs to make sure I'm still there. Not always to feed but just make sure I still exist. Daft baby.

Newcastle or Durham as DH has a job in Newcastle now, and I can work from home. No decisions yet though as fil has terminal cancer and we'll partly base the move on mil's needs afterwards.

V no longer accepts DH's comfort at all - I think this must be the start of separation anxiety! Poor DH fees quite hurt! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't last. Still want 4 though.....

Probaby separation anxiety yes. Ds2 isn't too bad once he has established I'm not there (I go to an exercise class once a week) but if I am then he reaches out to me and yells at dh.

Move to Durham, perfect little city :)

sorry about FIL :(

Table booked. All those signed up should have a PM. If you don't have one and think you should then yell! If you are not signed up but want to come or want to bring anyone else then yell, there is still time to jiggle numbers :)

Hi all. I would be ok for December the 1st. Escaping the house is a blessing at the moment. We are having a drive done this week and I was grinning as I took DS to nursery and myself on to work, knowing that I was fleeing for a few hours. Not sure they should have been operating a forklift truck at half seven in the morning...

:) great golden. Look forward to meeting you! If you make it to the drinks in Ebony we are easy to spot. We are the ones looking startled at being out of the house after dark and without children complaining that the music is too loud. Well, I am anyway. Spiggy is the one getting tipsy on belinis Grin.

Leggy that'll be fine, I'll confirm numbers with them a few days before so I'll either add her then or someone will drop out (hope not) and it won't matter anyway. One either way isn never a problem!

Local Talk is now working, so if you go into local.mumsnet.com/durham, you can also start a thread in there if it helps. We can also sort out a group meet-ups page like this local.mumsnet.com/bath/group-meet-ups/paulton if you like

Only just seen that Indith was impuning my character and suggesting that I'd be getting tipsy on the bellinis. I'd like to take this opportunity to set the record straight and say that I will be the one getting rat-arsed on bellinis. I don't like to do things by half Grin

When I saw EmmaMumsnet's name on this thread I thought that we were going to get a HQer at our Christmas do Grin Will have a look at the newfangled Local page at some point. Unfortunately at the moment I am trying to finish a chapter on the report I'm supposed to be writing. I only stopped for a bacon sandwich and a sloe gin and a bit of mnetting

I tried looking at local once and it tried to make me choose a new name. I shall have to man up, accept the changes and try again.

Ah but we do very good nights out Emma, it'd be worth the trip Grin and we wouldn't ply with you drink to get all the inside goss about MNHQ, oh no not us

I think you should come Emma, purely in the interests of reaching out to your far flung Northern members. Anyway, surely the price difference between a curry and cocktails up here and the same in London more than covers the cost of the train ticket? I even have a spare bed you'll just get jumped on by dd in the morning.

I dreamt last night that I missed the meal and went out with J for dinner instead!

Then remembered that I couldn't have missed the meal because it was still November, and also I wasn't late to meet Frozen because I was clearly still asleep and she isn't due here til nearer lunchtime...
