dates suggested- 17th Nov, 24th Nov or 1st Dec? Majority vote wins.

Where? Cocktails in Ebony in Durham from 7/7.30 ish then on to wherever can fit us in with an 8.30 booking within tottering distance from Ebony. My vote would be The Capital Grin.

Just thought golden, there are a couple of photos of me on my profile so you can have a vague idea of who to look for in Ebony Grin

I'll pm you my mobile number and you can always give me a ring when you arrive instead of trying to find us it the throng.

Thanks Spiffy, have sent you a pm. Sounds like a just miss Indith, my eldest started at the nursery in Esh Winning this September. We do live really close to the catholic primary though.

Thinking about getting bus back from night out to have a few drinkies. Watching Doc McStuffins. Christ.

Indith, that's really kind of you. Will PM you. Indian food, a good laugh + the chance to have a few drinks, sounds fab!

My children are behaving suspiciously well today, especially considering am by myself due to football being on. Clearly heading for a fall...

Ah another football widow. I do so love the summer when there is no football even if there is cricket instead

I actually managed to do something crafty this afternoon and it didn't end up in tears it is usually me or someone being sent to their room. There's even some fairly decent Christmas pictures come out of it.

That gets me out of doing it for another year, right?

Found you!
Will decide what I want, and post on here
Indith, thank you for your kind offer of a lift which I never replied to if that's still on I would love one thanks. If not, no worries. Also, if you fancy getting bus back golden or even a taxi I'll join you, depending on when Indith wants to go?

hello! Thanks very much for this :) I would like Chicken Dupiaza. I am happy to share rice/naan of whatever description with anyone! Pilau and plain if I'm choosing.

I am out two Saturdays in a row Shock Actually there was a fair amount of Shock at one... Looking forward to catching up.

Hi Fives... That would be great. I am at Esh Winning. Perhaps I'm a wimp, but would find going back on the bus alone with all the (other) drunks scary! Or taxi would be good too.

Indith · 25/11/2012 08:48

Hello Fives!

Hum Taxi is a point actually, with 3 of us from here going thena taxi back is not too stupidly expensive and I could indulge a little more in those cocktails. However am still happy to drive if people don't want to pay for a taxi. What do you think Fives and golden? Golden Fives and I could meet you in Esh Winning to get the bus in then share a taxi home?

Ischel - I can offer you a lift, but I don't think I'll be setting off before 7.30 so will be missing out on cocktails at Ebony, but if we get a little early to The Capital we can always get a drink at the bar.
Totally up to you :)

stickylittlefingers · 25/11/2012 17:51

it was pilau rice and plain naan if i were choosing, but if there's someone wants to share and wants different things I'll go with that. I am omnivorous!

And may I say yay for taxis home, we will have fun :)

Fives, Indith, bus in and taxi back sounds good to me. I am sure it will do us all good to let our hair down :) Have had a look at the bus times on www.arrivabus.co.uk (the times changed in October) I would probably get on near Rochfords Garage, almost the last stop out of the village. They only give times from Western Avenue and from The Stags Head from Esh Winning. The best times from The Stags Head (Western Avenue is about 5 minutes earlier) is:

18:22 to get in to Durham at 18:42 or
18:52 to get in to Durham at 19:11

Let me know what you think. Looking forward to it. Though seem to have mild concussion from the week end as I was emptying the tumble dryer in an alcove and realisedg my eldest had climbed on to the work surface, so I shouted at him and thwacked my head from the ridiculously located wall...

Report
Indith · 26/11/2012 10:39

18.52 is most likely I think, we'll get on before you as coming from Waterhouses but I'm sure we'll be able to spot each other on the bus!

I really need to start expressing, I've used all my freezer milk. I shall have to give the baby and early feed then leg it and wish dh luck Grin.

Should we book a taxi? What time for? Dh says Paddy's is probably going to be the best price (tis who he usually uses when he goes away with work).

Actually I tend to do it when I get the train down to work, so I can just drive it back the next night when the bus drops me off, possibly won't be a good idea on Saturday though!
