Hello hello! Here I am with good intentions to behave and show up to some meet ups since I utterly failed in 2011! Grin

So we need ideas for daytime meets and of course we must not forget our night time meets Wink

Daytime Ideas
Beamish
Saltwell Park, Gateshead
The Giants Den, Team Valley
Botanic Gardens
Beach (in the summer of course, unless we want airborne children!)

Okay so ideas for January daytime, I think cake is definitely in order so I propose the one that's next to Ebony, the huge place, down some steps, uhh... Slug & Lettuce is it? CAKE!

January night time? Is this something we want to plan? I know we're always poor after Christmas!

DS1 is the day before my mother's birthday. DS2 the day beforeFIL's birthday. DD is 2 days after Christmas. I remember that because DH was desperately hoping she wouldn't turn up on Boxing day as he likes to go to the football then. Does take me a few minutes to work the actual dates out though. DS1 and DD always confuse me by being 07 and 08. I always think they should be further apart Grin

Good luck for the 12th, Viking! I know it wasn't what you wanted but you are going to meet your baby!!
LOL @ you winning arguments with your DH :D

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 10/03/2012 14:19

Just got a text- Viking's DD arrived today. Don't know any more details of the birth and I'll leave weight etc for her to tell you about but they are all fine.

Welcome to the world baby Viking! Smile

Indith · 10/03/2012 14:22

Congratulations Viking :)

Those chore lists are going to come in useful Grin

juneybean · 10/03/2012 15:27

StealthPolarBear · 10/03/2012 20:56

Congratulations Viking :o what a surprise!

VikingLady · 10/03/2012 23:30

Waters broke at 8 this morning when i got up, rushed in to labour ward (j pushed me in a wheelchair!) and had her at 11.11! All went well, she's called Verity, and she weighed 8.2. She looked well done so I'm happy! She's got masses of black hair and black eyebrows. Planning next one now...

StealthPolarBear · 10/03/2012 23:39

ahh :o

So...does that mean you did have a VB after all? Or if a CS are you posting on phone?

VikingLady · 10/03/2012 23:50

cs and phone. Can't sleep- she has hiccups!

StealthPolarBear · 10/03/2012 23:56

ah ok, was just with you saying labour ward. Oh dear, have you tried playing peek a BOO? :o

You sound so happy, I am a little bit Envy at the moment. Enjoy it :o

juneybean · 11/03/2012 00:11

Awww welcome little Verity, what a beautiful name!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 11/03/2012 08:58

Yay! And now I can say a proper welcome to Verity Smile

Hope you've not had too much bother with the in-laws Grin

Enjoy lovely newborn snuggles. I am Envy too.

Indith · 11/03/2012 11:17

Lovely, lovely name :) Huge congratulations, so glad it went well, if a little unplanned!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 11/03/2012 14:28

Yey! What a beautiful name! Wishing you a speedy recovery, do you know when they will discharge you?

stickyLFDTfingers · 12/03/2012 22:35

congratulations! That's one of my favourite names, really lovely sound and meaning. Hope you're all doing OK

Pudden · 13/03/2012 18:06

lovely name! congratulations flower :)

LeggyBlondeNE · 15/03/2012 16:53

Hurray for more babies! Well done VL, hope you're recovering well. (My FB feed is full of babies at the moment, it's very lovely.)

Does that mean it's cake-time???!

StealthPolarBear · 15/03/2012 17:17

Ahem I am off on the 24th...and would love to do cake!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 15/03/2012 18:28

Did you mean the 24th SPB? That's a Saturday.

Cake sounds like a good plan. I can't do 19th, 20th, 28th,29th or 30th but can probably wangle a day off any other time as I have built up far too much flexi recently. I'm off 26th and 27th anyway.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/03/2012 19:33

I can't do Tuesdays, Wednesday or Friday. I will be able to do any day in the Easter hols though. I am happy to do a Saturday!

LeggyBlondeNE · 16/03/2012 08:42

I've got a conference from 24th to 30th but free apart from that.

I guess Indith and Viking should make the call!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 16/03/2012 19:33

Hmmm. My test drive of the coil isn't going that well. First post birth AF and it seems to have disappeared. I'm hoping down the loo and not into my abdomen...

Viking, Indith- how are the snuggly newborns?

Indith · 17/03/2012 13:15

snuggly newborn very lovely.

I hate cluster feeding though.

And I'm shattered. Attempting to take it easy but failing.

My coil fell out first AF after having it, never bithered trying it again. Must sort out somthing bomb proof this time I suppose.

Date for cake yet? SPB what day is it you are off? I assume Viking will be taking a while to get out and about post cs.

VikingLady · 18/03/2012 09:14

Sorry for the delay in posting. Had a bit of a melt-down at the hospital where I was convinced I was doing everything wrong and was going to damage the sprog by doing everything wrong... Got out on Monday (which was not a minute too soon!) and my mum came to help out. So, now we know how to change nappies, burp her (sprog, not mum) and perform the torture known as The Bath.

I had no idea new babies had so much gas at the bottom end! Am very impressed. It is extremely loud!

Anyway, all doing fine now, and she is sleeping and eating well. Am fine to meet up any day, as far as I know, stitches allowing. I overdid it a bit the other day shopping for a new nursing bra, and couldn't walk again yesterday, so we'll see. I will try, though. Probably not for a couple of weeks. And I still can't nurse discreetly - A lot of people at Metrocentre got a large eyeful of boob this week!

Congrats Indith, as well. And I am fine with other people holding sprog and sniffing the top of her head when I do make it out!
