Not too fussed here either as my Ds might be too young for most places.
Mumatuks-I've got 2 friends that live near you,in Heath Park Road.Infact, one of them used to have a shop in Victoria Road so know it quite well.

mumatuks · 31/01/2006 16:03

ah yes, HP road, i'm nearer the top of Vic Road/bottom of heathpark road, but don't really want to say IYSWIM!

How old are your DS's?

Bubbaloo · 31/01/2006 16:23

I understand,no probs-I also wouldn't want to say.
My Ds is the same age as your Ds2.He was born the 19th June.Im a little bit older at 32!

mumatuks · 31/01/2006 20:31

Come on then mummies! Where are we going to meet?!

I'm not very good with the area as I'm not "local" I've lived here for about two years.

Any sggestions? Anybody else want to come?

Mummy2Toby · 31/01/2006 23:01

Hiya everyone,

Shall we just say Kidspace at the brewery then?

It is quite easy to get to with parking and everything and I would guess that most people will know the Brewery!

Sorry - just tell me if I am taking over

Shall we say 15th February? How about 12 o'clock?

Who is coming, I know it is me, mumatuks and bubbaloo so far - anybody else fancy it?

laughinglil · 31/01/2006 23:09

Mummy2Toby · 31/01/2006 23:11

Me, Mumatuks, Bubbaloo & laughinglil so far .... anymore?

Bubbaloo · 01/02/2006 07:40

My friend and her 5 month Ds are coming,so that's 2 more.

mumatuks · 01/02/2006 09:24

Just caught up with the messages, I'll be there!

Are we going to meet just outside the bit where you pay?

Should one of us give our mobile number so if one of us can't make it they can ring the other?

.... do we need to be the one with the red rose / blue hanky ?

If you like email me kartooning AT ntlworld DOT com, with your real name and phone nmber, if you're bringing any friends you kids names etc. When I have the info I'll email it out to everyone. Is that okay?

Hoepe I'm not taking over here.. sorry!

Bubbaloo · 01/02/2006 09:28

That sounds great Mumatuks and it's nice to have an organiser,so you're not taking over.

I'll email you later as I'm just waiting for my friend as we're off to toddler group shortly!

Bubbaloo · 01/02/2006 15:06

Mumatuks-I've just emailed you.

mumatuks · 01/02/2006 15:08

Cheers Bubbaloo!

leilani02 · 01/02/2006 16:34

any southend mums please make me welcome

mumatuks · 01/02/2006 16:39

leilani02 are you going to come? Its a long way! Although it'd be great if you did!

I'm thinking that this meetup will be a bit of a trail run and if all goes well we could maybe do a bigger and better meetup when the weather warms up. I mean there's southend for a start! Or there's Tropical Wings at South Woodham Ferrers or the farm which is also there.

It'll be nice when its warmed up. (types mumatuks as she looks out the window at the greying sky.

leilani02 · 01/02/2006 16:45

Sorry I am new here so please be patient with me

leilani02 · 01/02/2006 16:48

Thanks again for a lovely welcome I am not sure that i'll be able to meep up this time because DD is a lot older than yours and is in pre school

Mummy2Toby · 01/02/2006 17:12

Have just emailed you mumatuks - if you need me to do anything just say

mumatuks · 01/02/2006 17:46

thanks M2T.. have emailed you back.
Thanks for the offer of help!

leilani02 sorry you might not be able to make it, you are still welcome all the same.

I'm just waiting now for more emails from everyone who is coming. Once I have everyone I will send out all numbers and emails.. and real names! (if this is okay with you all

mumatuks · 02/02/2006 13:40

Just to be a pain and ask anyone else who is coming to please email me kartooning AT ntlworld DOT com

Cheers!

KayVeeKayBee · 02/02/2006 17:37

Hi all. DS is now 7 weeks old and I am now thinking about socialising again. I live in Becontree... just a hop away from Romford, Barking and Ilford.
I'm looking to meet other mums in my area. I'd like to get out and about, go to get fit classes, go shopping or just hang out and chat but at the moment I am finding it easiest to just veg out on the sofa all day and watch tv in between feeding, changing and playing with baby and ignoring the ever mounting housework.

mumatuks · 02/02/2006 19:13

Hi KVKB,

Hope you can make it along to a meet up sometime (maybe even this one?) The place we are going to has a lovely sensory development area for babies. My DS loves it!

Beware that habit of the sofa, I'm still doing it 2 yrs on, and I've had DS2 since then!

Hope to see you soon x

KayVeeKayBee · 05/02/2006 11:05

Thanks Mamatuks,
Will try to make it to that meeting in Romford.

Bubbaloo · 05/02/2006 20:06

Hi KVKB and everyone else.Just wondered if we are still meeting at
Kidspace as I think it probably is half term that particular week,so it'll be mobbed.

mumatuks · 06/02/2006 13:19

Bubaloo, I missed your message somehow!

Thank you for pointing out it is half term when we are meant to be meeting, and I totally agree we will be mobbed!

I think we have two options:

  1. keep that date and time but meet elsewhere or:

  2. re-schedule the meet for a week or two after to make sure all schoools are back, as places like Upminster are on a weeks difference hols to those in romford / hornchurch.

Comments please anyone?!

Bubbaloo · 06/02/2006 16:18

Well I'm not too fussy and can probably do a mon, tues or weds before March. If after March I can only do a weds.Complicated I know, but I go back to work on the 5th.
