Hi everyone,

I'm also in Romford.. didn't know there were so many of us on here..

UCM · 30/01/2006 17:59

Nickiey only just seen your post. Hi. Well girls who is organising a meet up then?

mumatuks · 30/01/2006 18:17

Well Ive never done one of these meet ups before, but I'm guessing we should choose a day then date first! Shall we give ourselves a couple of weeks notice? So go for a date around: Monday 13th Feb - Friday 17th Feb? If it is no good, we'll choose another time!

Sorry if I've trod on anyones toes, just scratch this message if someone else would like to organise it!

lars · 30/01/2006 18:26

Jasnem, I live in Waltham abbey! larsxx

Bubbaloo · 30/01/2006 19:11

Hi Mumatuks.

Count me in and possibly another mumsnetter friend of mine, and her Ds.
A Wednesday would be best for us as it's the only day that we're both off work.

Anyone else up for it?.

mumatuks · 30/01/2006 19:16

Wednesday sounds good to me, so shall we go for
15th Feb?

Jasnem · 30/01/2006 19:31

lars - wow, I thought I was on my own!
Can't do a meet at the moment, as am pregnant, and baby is due 18th Feb, (unless everyone came here) but maybe later in the year.

Mummy2Toby · 30/01/2006 21:14

Wednesday 15th Sounds good to me girls!

Any ideas where? It is a bit cold to go to a park, have never been to a meet up like this before, so am not sure where the other normally meet?

Anyone got any ideas? maybe if we all say how old our lo's are it could help us decide where is best

My ds is 14 months .......... by the way - do tell me if I am getting a bit carried away.

Bubbaloo - I am near Pettits Lane, where abouts are you?

Bubbaloo · 30/01/2006 21:39

Mummy2Toby-Wednesday the 15th is fine for me and my friend.
Like I said Oscar is just over 7 months and her little boy is 6 months old.
I live just off Havering Gardens if you know where that is(behind the Moby Dick).

Jasnem-Good luck with the baby.

mumatuks · 31/01/2006 08:12

Hi Everyone,
My DS1 is 2 and DS2 is 7 months.

There is a great new play place opened in the brewery shopping centre called Kidspace.. don't know if you've been there yet? However, if its half term when we're meeting I'll avoid it like the plague!

I know roughly of where you both say you are. I live on a small street between Victoria Road and Brentwood Road.

The Park on Main road maybe best, but as you say it could be too cold!

Mummy2Toby · 31/01/2006 10:27

Hi Mumatuks,

we went to take ds to that place in the brewery on Sunday and the queue was out of the door (nearly to the cinema!) but it is supposed to be really good - isn't it quite a lot of money though?

Is it half term when we are meeting? I will ask my sister in law, she knows all the school holidays and I haven't got a clue - mind you we will in a few years!

mumatuks · 31/01/2006 10:32

Hi M2T, Yes that place really isn't worth it on a weekend!! But it is very good, much improvment on the Playtown that was there before hand!

Its slightly expensive, the food certainly is, but I was thinking if its for a special one of mumsnet meet. We get ds1 in for £4.50 and baby gets in for free. If its just mum and baby its just a pound for mum.

Or there is Timbuk2 on the A127, but I'm not as keen on there as DS's aren't in the same play area.

I'm not fussed though, wherever everyone else says, heck- I'll even go to the seaside!
