Scottish Christmas Meet-up: Any takers?

The Scottish MNers are not always the most prolific at organising meet-ups, but we do usually manage to do so at Christmas.

In the absence of the normal suckers suspects who put their heads above the paprapet and volunteer to organise it, I thought I'd see if there was any interest :)

We've normally had it in Edinburgh - us Weegies seem happy to start the celebarations early on the train over - but I'm open to suggestions.

I'd love to come along and Edinburgh or Glasgow would suit me - best dates would be 9th, 10th or 16th/17th. I can't make the 3rd.

I'd like to come, but Edinburgh probably a bit too far for me. Have a great time

Do you mean a NE England one, ICaptured? If so, I think you would be better starting a separate thread. If you mean a NE Scotland one, then I think we'd have to ask MNHQ to rename this one as the Glasgow/Edinburgh meet-up, as that's what it seems to have become, and you could have another thread for your meet-up - otherwise we are all going to get horribly confused (and believe me when I say it doesn't take much to get me confused at the best of times).

I could do Glasgow, but not on the 16th.

Hi everyone, looks like I'll have to give it a miss this year as none of the weekends in December are particularly good for me. Definitely no the 10th anyway.

SGM Your dd1 and my dd have met. Won't say where on here but sure you can probably work it out. She's lovely and doing a fantastic job from what I've seen.

i could probably do a glasgow one (assuming i don't bottle it ) but unlikely to make an edinburgh one. can't do the weekend of the 16th.

I can do 2 and 9 December, but that's all. Maybe we'd be better having a night out in Glasgow in Jan or Feb, and leave the arrangements for the Xmas night out in Edinburgh, as initially discussed.

Oh a Glasgow one after New Year would be fab, I could definitely make that - if I take a bravery pill first!
