CCCCCJJJJJJ!!!!!

I am so going to snog you!
Straight after magna and methods and anyone else really, I cannot be trusted after a few beverages Grin

notinmypocket · 19/05/2011 13:56

Shock eggy.

The image of the tights unfortunately disappeared after only a few seconds, but I did catch the 'well-worn party tights' description

Are they for, ahem, connaisseurs of used underwear and panties?

Somehow, I hope I was looking at a wrong link Smile

stickofrock · 19/05/2011 14:19

I'm coming , I'm coming, I've just paid !!!!

Thank you Pagwatch.......I'll be having palpitations too. Anyone know which is the nearest tube ? And will anyone else be lying to their DC and friends about where they are going.......all spray tanned on a Saturday night ? I don't do spray tan but I might well have a wash though. Don't want to be in the smelly corner. I might need a 'help the aged' corner though, with a stool so I can put my feet up. Grin

CJCregg · 19/05/2011 14:38

NIMP - after magna and methods???

PurveyorOfBaloney · 19/05/2011 15:17

I'm feeling a bit more reassured most people are closer to my age (39), so I can hopefully hold my own in the 10 yard dash to the corners. It's like the holy trinity of hang-ups, but will 3 become 1??? I suspect a liberal anointment of wine should do the trick Grin

I'm a bit worried by all the plumping going on, I've just been and had my colours done early for fear of being mistaken for a badger. The dress+cloppy heels is a bit daunting, I mean I can do it, but I'll have to drink even more wine to get comfortable - then there is a distinct falling-down possibility on account of the heels. I've never been threaded or waxed or tanned in my entire life - but you lot might just drive me to it. When DP sees me got up on Saturday he's going to have suspicions I'm sure Grin If it was the other way around (last minute notice, refusing be accompanied, suspicious plumping, dodgy mates story) then I'd be starting a thread in Relationships for sure!

Pagwatch - are you travelling from Waterloo?? At least Magna and I have to make it for the last trains, so we can try and make sure you are poured onto a train (have a feeling you might be in my area). Or more likely we'll all join in the bidding for Annie's spare bed.

AnnieLobeseder · 19/05/2011 15:43

Am I to assume from IKeepThemInACage's withdrawn and methods' subsequent posts that I got a snog and then it was taken back!?!?!?!

That stings!

[sulks]

Blatherskite · 19/05/2011 16:00

OK, so somewhere up the thread there were instructions on how to get to the venue avoiding the closed tube lines but I can't find it...

Could someoone remind me the best way from Euston to the venue and back please?

methodsandmaterials · 19/05/2011 16:04

From Liverpool Street
Take the No.8 bus towards Oxford Circus (bus stop on Bishopsgate).
Get off at the Holborn Circus / Fetter Lane.
Cross the road (High Holborn) so you're now on the same side of the road as WHSmiths.
To the left of WHSmiths, you have Leather Lane. Walk all the way down it to the very end where it hits Clerkenwell ROad.
The Clerk & Well is opposite you, slightly to the left.

From King's Cross / St Pancras
Take the No. 63 bus towards Honour Oak (bus stop on Euston Road directly in front of King's Cross Station)
Get off at Clerkenwell Road.
Cross Farringdon Road so that you are on the same side of the road as Yo Sushi.
Walk down Clerkenwell Road.
The Clerk & Well is about 2 minutes on your right.

or

Take the No. 45 or the No. 46 bus towards Steatham / Stonecutter Street respectively (bus stop on Euston Road directly in front of King's Cross Station)
Get off at the Rosebery Avenue.
Walk up and take the first left (at the cornershop) so you're now on Clerkenwell Road.
Walk straight up Clerkenwell Road. The road forks off to the left (Rosebery Avenue), don't go down there.
The Clerk & Well is about two minutes on your left.

Yes yes, heading to Waterloo.

Oh good. A few of us going that way Grin

AnnieLobeseder · 19/05/2011 16:07

I am having visions of drunken MNers strewn all over the bed, floor, sofa, walls, bath etc in my hotel room!

From London Bridge
Take the No.17 bus towards Archway (bus stop on London Bridge Street or on London Bridge itself)
Get off at Rosebery Avenue (might also be called Theobald's Road)
Walk up, cross Theobald's Road (so you're in front of The Yorkshire Grey pub)and tthen cross Gray's Inn Road so you're at the cornershop.
You should now be on Clerkenwell Road.
Walk straight up Clerkenwell Road. The road forks off to the left (Rosebery Avenue), don't go down there.
The Clerk & Well is about two minutes on your left.

From Euston
Take the 73/10/390/205/30 all towards King's Cross.
Get off at King's Cross and then follow directions above.
(if you take the 10 or the 390, the bus will stop on York Way in which case you'll have to go back on yourself to get back to the bus stops in front of the station)

From Waterloo
Take the No. 243 or No. 341 bus towards Wood Green and Northumberland Park respectively.
Get off at Theobald's Road / Gray's Inn Road
Walk up, cross Theobald's Road (so you're in front of The Yorkshire Grey pub) and then cross Gray's Inn Road so you're at the cornershop.
then cross Gray's Inn Road so you're at the cornershop.
Walk straight up Clerkenwell Road. The road forks off to the left (Rosebery Avenue), don't go down there.

I'm coming from Victoria.

methodsandmaterials · 19/05/2011 16:22

Victoria line (or 73 bus) to Kings Cross then see above.

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 19/05/2011 16:25

right, so I'm aiming for King's cross - I'll print that out.
thanks Grin

PurveyorOfBaloney · 19/05/2011 16:31

Umm, the Northern Line and Central Line are operating normally this weekend so Transport for London says - I was just going to tube it Holborn (from Waterloo) and walk. Is that a bad idea (if anyone knows about these things)?

nickelbabe · 19/05/2011 16:35

my last train is 1:10 in the morning.
I'm likely to go for the 23:22, though.
(just in case!)

FellatioNelson · 19/05/2011 16:41

I'm not standing in the corner. I'm going to stand in the middle. So you can all see my New Very Fashionable Trousers that came today . Even if it means I'm standing all on my own. Not sure about shoes though - the ones I like best are not ideal for standing up for more than 4 minutes, and not really suited to walking at all. I might bring a selection, and rotate them. [fashion v. function overthinker]

If you think I'm tall and then I'm short, then I'm tall again, don't worry, you are not as drunk as you think.

Hurrah! hurrah! No frock for Fellatio. I'm having a trouser epiphany. (rare.)

notinmypocket · 19/05/2011 16:43

CJ, it will be first come, first serve basis Grin

PurveyorOfBaloney · 19/05/2011 16:50

Fellatio, given the whole "What To Wear" dilemma I am almost considering taking several more than one outfit and changing hourly half way through Grin

FellatioNelson · 19/05/2011 17:02

Well I hate to admit this POV but I am seriously consiering slipping a change of clothing in my bag as well.

  1. I'm grabbing a quick bit to eat with freinds first and I'm bound to get a big blob of something oily down me

  2. I might have been a touch over-optimistic on the size of my new trews and I may need to get changed in order to breath out atsome point in the evening

  3. I can't make a decision to save my life and I'll probably change my mind on the train

I might be taking this a bit too seriously. Can you tell I don't get out much? Grin

FellatioNelson · 19/05/2011 17:03

Sorry I meant POB.

PurveyorOfBaloney · 19/05/2011 17:06

I like the sound of it Fellatio - you could be the all-star attraction with a fashion show and sweepstake on how soon your trousers explode. I'd pay for that!

Al0uiseG · 19/05/2011 17:07

Fellatio, I Facebook messaged you about 3 days ago, please reply. Theres a love.

Blatherskite · 19/05/2011 17:11

Oh I hope it's true about the tube being open. I hate getting busses in London. I never know where I am and spend the whole journey in a state of panic that I won't get off at the right time.

HRHPrincessZombiePlan · 19/05/2011 17:14

Agree about the buses Blathers. Anyway, London buses are simply vile, especially on a Saturday night
