Meet-ups

When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

Let's try another WORCESTER/SHIRE evening meet-up, shall we ?

Given that we've discovered a few more MNers live locally and the last attempt at a meet-up fizzled out because I wasn't in a position to organise it and no one took the mantle....

So. Let's start with a few Worcestershire MNer stats, just so I know where everyone is. I'll start with those I know the locations of...

NomDePlume - Worcester
GeorginaA - Worcester
Ailsa - Worcester
Socci - Worcester
Gumdrop - Evesham way
Rats - Worcester (doesn't often post though so we might not see her)
Hornbag - Malvern

Add yourselves to the list and we'll find a suitable location for a drink/food and a natter.

NomDePlume · 06/11/2005 19:30

Gosh, there are loads of us ! Are you in Worcester city onemoreday?

Do you all drive or have a way of getting into Worcester?

OP posts:
MrsMiggins · 06/11/2005 19:33

I drive and can get to Worcester - prob only 30 mins from me

NomDePlume · 06/11/2005 19:35

. Thanks for the heads up on that meet-up MrsM. I hadn't seen it but I can't make it anyway, it's DS2's birthday snad we're out for a family tea.

Shall we aim to get a Worcester-based meet-up off the ground for late Nov/early Dec ?

OP posts:
Littlefish · 06/11/2005 19:38

I'm near Stourbridge. Do I count?

NomDePlume · 06/11/2005 19:40

Of course you do, littlefish!

Everyone who wants to come is more than welcome.

OP posts:
Littlefish · 06/11/2005 19:44

Are you talking about arranging a daytime meeting, with children, or an evening one without?

NomDePlume · 07/11/2005 11:30

Evening without, initially, but could do a daytime one too. Ones with kids are best in the summer though.

onemoreday · 07/11/2005 15:27

I'm up for an evening meet. I do drive and Worcs is about 15mins away.

MrsMiggins · 07/11/2005 18:23

late Nov / early Dec sounds good to me

just pick a night / time / venue and I'll make sure I can go

onemoreday · 07/11/2005 20:01

I don't mind when as long as I have notice so that I can sort out a babysitter

Ailsa · 07/11/2005 21:36

I'll start with dates, since I'm the awkward one .

Week commencing 5th December best for me, except for 7th (work do)

onemoreday · 08/11/2005 07:28

Yep. I can do any day that week.

hornbag · 08/11/2005 14:23

DDs nativity on 7th and 8th -it doesn't mean I can't make either night, just means I might be later than everyone else on those nights.
Have you all met up before? I won't be the only new girl will I? (she asks nervously...)

NomDePlume · 08/11/2005 14:26

Hornbag, no you won't be the only new girl ! I have met GeorginaA, Ailsa, Gumdrops (if she decides to come), Rats (same as gummy) and Socci before. All the rest will be new faces to me .

That week seems ok at the mo, Ailsa, I'll get DH to check his diary for that week and get back with a better answer !

I dont have anything planned so that would be fine for me

I havent met anyone although you never know Gumdrop - depends how far "Evesham way" is

LunarSea · 10/11/2005 09:40

Hi - am not from Worcestershire - but not that far over the border (live in Warwickshire, work in Solihull) so Worcester's only about 30 mins drive from the office.

Unfortunately dh is away the first week of December, so could probably only do Friday 9th that week. Week before is ok though. In fact the only weekday evenings I definately couldn't do between now and 14th December (life gets too busy after that as we get near Christmas!) are 11th/23rd/25th November and 1st/5th-8th December.

Gumdrop · 10/11/2005 10:53

I am ludicrously excited about another MN'er Evesham way....... do get a life Gumdrop.

Specifically I'm in Fladbury, (think Midsummer murder villages type). And yes, I'd be up for another meeting.
