BROWNYtherednosereindeer · 13/12/2005 14:07

Hiya everyone,

I'll have to put my tree up today, I just can't get myself motivated, I'll have to make a huge effort - I need a night out I think!

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 13/12/2005 15:32

me too

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 13/12/2005 15:35

i cant be bothered putting the xmas tree up!! as we have only just bought it down! and i still not done my shopping yet - growl to dp as he came home yesterday lunch time and said "im not going back in work as im fed up..." so he took yesterdays afternoon off, todays and tmrw (holiday) and im supposed to be ill in bed?!?! Grrr!

mazzystar · 13/12/2005 15:39

we all got bad coughs, awake all night barking like seals

haven;t decided aobut xmas tree yet. would like big real one but will the baby just climb it?

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 13/12/2005 15:41

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 13/12/2005 15:43

i cant be bothered cos im off to college tonite - BSL - so ive got a couple of things to do before off out tonite

going for a drink after too - hooray..i havent had alcohol for ages!! apart frtom the baileys that i had the other nite

mazzystar · 13/12/2005 15:44

think we might risk it...but getting some proper toddler behaviour these days. deliberately doing things he knows are naughty and chuckling when i try to stop him...!

mazzystar · 13/12/2005 15:46

how is the bsl going?

are you training to be an interpreter as a job?

or set up super-lucrative alternative babysigning and rake it in

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 13/12/2005 15:47

ha ha!!! same here... mine goes over the Cds rack and just before she pull one out, she stop, turn around and give me that look like she is saying "im gonna get one out!"... i noticed with mine though if i dont shout at her, she doesnt touch, but if i shout at her she grab and try do a runner with it!!

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 13/12/2005 15:49

nah i cant be an interpreter as im deaf but my DP wanted to be one as hes hearing and its gud money too

ive put my name down on tinytalk as there arent that many teachers teaching baby signs atm so the lady is calling me back

mazzystar · 13/12/2005 15:55

you should do it. it must be money for old rope!
(if you set a class i will defect from the one i go to now)

sounds like we shd definitely try to introdcue our cheeky babes to each other.... so they can learn new tricks on how to tease their mums

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 14/12/2005 09:04

yes mazzy - ill let you know how i get on

Browny's little one does signs too as clever browny self-taught him to sign as there arent any signing classes in her area (allerton)...ive only started to do signs with mine as i didnt want to get mixed up with adult and babies signs in my class!

Browny ive won a baby sign book off ebay for £4.00 all in so its looks good and i can use it on baba

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 09:29

hello all

BL the baby signing is fab, adam still uses some now even though he talks at the same time.

hope everyone is well.

Well tommorrow is the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am scared but excited about it though. More scared as just cant see me bringing home a baby for some reason. Plus worried about how adam will react even though he is very laid back and I have told him about 10 times today that the baby is coming tommorrow and his aunt will be looking after him etc.

FastasleepInAManger · 14/12/2005 09:34

Good luck Nemo!!! I'd be terrified if I'd have known exactly when Sophia was coming... half way through labour and I still couldn't imagine actually bringing the baby home... you'll do great I'm sure, can't wait to see your announcement and the girl/boy news

Theo put Sophia through a sort of initiation ceremoney for a week or so - he kept trying to hit and scratch and pinch her etc, but after that he's been great... don't know if Adam'll be anything like that but don't worry if he's nasty at first!

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 14/12/2005 09:37

oohhh nemo...what time are you going in tmrw?

Fast - WOW... youre here!!! ive been trying to get hold of you for a week last week as we all met up last friday ... we are all meeting up again in jan, pls come!!!!

FastasleepInAManger · 14/12/2005 12:51

I'll read the thread when I get chance and try my hardest to come!!

isawjaamykissingsantaclaus · 14/12/2005 12:57

Hope all goes ok Nemo! KWYM about not being able to imagine taking baby home - I was the same this time round, too. Hope you get the labour room with the bathroom that isn't shared and that labour is relatively short. (Can't remember if you said you were having a C-section???). Will keep an eye out for news.
Hope everyone else is ok. Sounds like you had a nice day out last Fri. As predicted,, I had a stonking hangover as a result of a fab night out. Would have been nice to meet you all before Christmas but hope to make the next meet in Jan.

BROWNYtherednosereindeer · 14/12/2005 13:12

Nemo - GOOD LUCK for tomorrow, I hope you get a really lovely midwife who'll look after you! I'll be thinking of you xxxxxx

Biglips - that was lucky getting the baby signing book for only £4.00 - Joe absolutely loves the sing and sign dvd - he sits really still and tries to do the signs - keeps him happy while I have a sly cuppa!.

Fastasleep - hiya - we missed you around here, hope you and Sophia and Theo and dp are all settled into your new bigger family life - hope to see you in the New Year.

Hiya to everyone else! I'VE MANAGED TO GET THE TREE OUT OF THE BOX - that's as far as I've got - can't find the stupid decorations to put on it and the living room looks like a BOMBS HIT IT!![sad).

isawjaamykissingsantaclaus · 14/12/2005 15:56

Browny - are you sure you're not sitting in my living room???? I love seeing the look on DH's face when he walks in after work and his face drops when he sees the mess! [evil]
Am now going to try and decorate the tree (we've only had it for 10 days - it's real and starting to drop and droop already!) with Jessica. Let's see how far we get before Abigail wakes up or Jessica has to go to Whiston A&E with glass bauble stuck in her foot. Wish me luck!

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 14/12/2005 19:08

we have plonked our tree on the coffee table yesterday i the far corner out of reach BUT no deccys on it yet!! but do it tmrw when i have time

im sooo knackered now as ive been out since 10 and only just back from bhead!

GOOD LUCK NEMO!
