paleo for weightloss

Was sorting out some books to take back to the library and found Chris Kresser's your personal paleo Diet. It pretty much fell open on the weight loss page - seemed to be a sign! Soooo enough messing around and procrastination, on the wagon off the wagon, I just need to get my head down and just plow on and lose weight....

Is anyone up for doing paleo or a similar diet with a focus on weightloss?

These are the additional rules, or I guess a good starting point before adding in usual paleo 'rules' :
Eat more protein
Don't snack
Go dairy free
Reduce calorie density by eating more veg
Eat all food within an 8 hour window

and one more for me - in bed by 11.

Will update but be great if others join in!

Ha yes would serve him right ;)

So did/do you generally go with the santa stocking on the 25th aswell? I was chatting with someone recently who is Irish living in spain with a spanish wife and his head is swimming with all the opportunities for gift days especially as their son has autism and is only beginning to understand the concept. Actually our children also leave out their shoes/slippers on new years eve for father time and receive an extra present or money that has been sent from dp's auntie up North. This came about as dp used to get money in his shoe when he was a child on new years day and it provided a good opportunity to hold back a christmas present when we had got them too many.

Wow harry hi five for the amazing willpower and generosity to boot! My headache is gone too so that's quite funny, obviously a standard response.

I had chicken, chorizo and sundried tomato stew thing at the work canteen today...it sounds like it could be paleo and I didn't ask any questions!

I am cooking roast chicken tonight smells so nice and sizzling away.

Inanimate I would have done the same tbh. well done on weight loss!

Hello, is this thread still going?

yumyumpoppycat · 17/02/2015 16:49

Hi Enllli, this thread is pretty dead quiet now, haven't 'seen' Favadi on mumsnet for a while, I don't think anyone would mind if you joined this thread set up by another mumsnetter even if your not strictly doing whole 30 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weight_loss_chat/2289897-Whole-30? hopefully see you on there.
