Slimming World to Harcombe?

I've been doing SW since 29/8. Initially on EE and now mainly on red days.

However although I've lost 1lb short of 2
stone I haven't lost any weight this week and I've stuck to the plan with the exception of maybe not enough syns / HEB.

Have seen the Harcombe diet and this seems to be more like what I'm doing at the moment although I'll have to swap coffee and skimmed milk for herbal tea and stop my 10 a day satsuma habit ;)

Just wondered what people's losses had been in phase 1 switching from SW? My BMI is still in the low 30s so I've got plenty to lose!

Are you mooching at home or away on hols?

Maybe have a dairy breakfast, like greek yoghurt with berries and have that as your dairy for the day.

My problem is the booze - I drink most nights, not to excess and I drink Gin with slimline tonic (one sometimes two) and try to leave off the wine apart from weekends. It is my main vice - I don't eat chocolate, or any sugar really....

Will post the day's consumption this evening. Grin

I'm mooching at home Smile Having a lovely family outing in the sunshine today.

I don't drink a lot, none at the moment due to the medication I'm on. Chocolate is my down fall Sad

I started off well, but we had an afternoon out with an unplanned picnic, so I lost the plot Sad

Bacon, eggs, fried mushrooms and tomatoes.

Cereal bar
Chocolate icecream

Chicken fried with onions and red peppers in fajita spices with sour cream, grated cheese and salad.

Lots of decaf black coffee.

Doshusallie · 15/04/2014 22:03

Beginning and end of the day were ok then!!!

kazzawazzawoo · 15/04/2014 22:32

Yes Smile Usually I start well, then lose the plot later.

Out again tomorrow, so not sure what I'll have for lunch, but will try to stay on track otherwise.

kazzawazzawoo · 16/04/2014 20:16

About the same today, I had

Bacon, eggs, fried mushrooms
gluten free brownie for lunch whilst out
HM burger with melted stilton braised leeks, and salad.
Lots of decaf coffee, black

Doshusallie · 16/04/2014 20:42

Doshusallie · 16/04/2014 20:42
  • gin
Doshusallie · 16/04/2014 20:43

When you are out maybe you could take a boxed up salad, or some pork scratchings, pepperami, cheese?

kazzawazzawoo · 16/04/2014 20:53

Thanks Smile

Tbh normally I'd find somewhere where they serve salads, but we're very skint at the moment, so not eating out really, but dd wanted a drink and a snack so we opted for something quick.

kazzawazzawoo · 16/04/2014 20:55

I don't like pork scratchings. I used to have them, but I kept getting hairy ones! Yuck!

My snack of choice to take to work is corned beef.

Doshusallie · 16/04/2014 22:05

Yes love a bit of corned beef - and there isn't even a war on! Wink

Doshusallie · 16/04/2014 22:07

Do you have a day that you normally weigh on? Mine is Saturday....

kazzawazzawoo · 16/04/2014 22:17

I don't tend to weigh myself often because I become very discouraged by natural fluctuations. I measure myself instead, so I still know I'm heading in the right direction. I do usually measure myself on a Friday though.

Doshusallie · 17/04/2014 08:34

Yes ikwym, that's why I stick to only once a week....

Doshusallie · 17/04/2014 17:18

These are yum and no hairs!!!

I'm on my phone so can't see pics Sad What are they called?

My parents came over today, bringing quiche and sausage rolls. I managed to resist and instead had two slices of my homemade crustless quiche. Very nice r

Doshusallie · 17/04/2014 19:27

Well done on resistance!!!

They are hog bites, very delicious.

B - big bowl of porridge with water
L - leftover curry and vefgues( small bowl), pkt of hog bites, bowl of yoghurt, cream and strawbs
T - bowl of bolognese meat sauce with grated cheese in the top

3 decaf black coffees, lots of water, decaf tea with milk, pint of berocca, 1 gin and slim.

Doshusallie · 17/04/2014 19:28

Veggies

kazzawazzawoo · 17/04/2014 21:08

I think I've looked at Hog bites before and they list wheat flour in the ingredients.I'm cutting out all gluten as I think it aggravates my ibs.Sad

I had very little time this morning due to my parents arriving, so had muesli for breakfast, crustless quiche for lunch with salad and pork belly for dinner.

kazzawazzawoo · 18/04/2014 20:35

Today I had bacon eggs and mushrooms for late breakfast, for lunch salad with feta cheese, snack of homemade flapjack mid afternoon and roast pork with carrots and leeks and parsnips for dinner. Had a very small glass of cloudy lemonade as dh was having glass of wine.

kazzawazzawoo · 18/04/2014 20:37

Do you know if I can make porridge with half water, half skimmed milk? Also how much oats do you use?

Doshusallie · 18/04/2014 20:42

Evening kazza!

I have 100g of oats when dry, it expands to more when I add water. Zoe harcombe has it with skimmed milk, so I don't see why you shouldn't.

Today I have had:

Porridge with water, decaf tea with milk, pint of berrocca
Pkt pork scratchings, two hard boiled eggs, carrot, celery and cucumber crudités, strawbs (picnic at a country park)
Peanuts/Brazil nuts and most of a bottle of white... Blush

3 decaf black coffees, about a litre and a half of water...

kazzawazzawoo · 18/04/2014 20:44

Thanks Smile 100g of oats sounds like a lot. Do you just add water to the oats until it's the right consistency?

Hope you enjoyed your picnic.
