Reaching out for help! Day 5 carb flu! I feel utterly dreadful, headache can barely move, depressed. How long does this last? How can I get through it, i want to curl up and day. Taking loads if supplements. Also started seeing personal trainer this weekand think the exercise is a shock. I have some HIIT training to do today but literally i don't think I could even get myself on the bike!

Try having some salted nuts as a snack - sometime the salt can help get you over the lightheadedness.

maybe half an apple- fructose obviously, but quite a lot of fibre and surprisingly low GI

It seems carb flu hits you at day 5. I am frrling very tired and lightheaded, shaky and I also have a headache. I have learnet that a lot of water works well too :)

I would ease up on the exercise until you've got low carbing uder your belt. It's a lot to expect your body to deal with in one go. Get used to a low carb regime first, then phase in the exercising gently.

If something makes you feel unwell, back off a bit.

Sorry didn't see responses. Eglute I was still feeling bad by day 12 - have introduced more carbs (good ones. apples, carrots etc) though I am not aiming to be in ketosis and am following more of a paleo diet. I definately feel better now and trying to reduce the carbs a bit this week.
