Week 8 - May '24 Low Carb Bootcamp - one last week!

Here's the spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

Next Monday will be our final weigh-in.

I'm not going to be around much this week, as DH and I are off to Vienna tomorrow for a few days. @prettybird will take ownership of TBS while I'm away.

Thankfully I'm not a great cake/pastry fan, so the whole 'kaffe und kuchen' thing won't be a distraction - but I'm hoping for some lovely food nevertheless.

I've heard lovely things about Vienna so I'm very much looking forward to it.

Thanks for the new thread @BIWI and have a lovely time in Vienna. We went to Austria at Easter and the kaffe und Kuchen was definitely damaging!

I've had a pound lose this week which I'm happy about and brings me under 60kg. I was aiming to get a bit lower - have a very small build and weighed around the 50kg mark until children in my mid 30s- but am pleased with the 5lb I've lost so far over boot camp.

I've really noticed that my clothes are looking better on me which is satisfying.

I was last in Vienna over 40 years ago when I was interrailing with my best friend. Loved it

I'm at my lowest weight for 7 years. So happy! I'm combining bootcamp lite with 16:8. Sometimes bootcamp very lite - the odd apple and a few baby new potatoes occasionally. It's working well.

I'm now at my lowest weight, BMI 24 and wearing size 12 for first time in over 30years!

I have followed these threads for years and finally committed to doing this woe properly and it has worked. My sugary food cravings have gone and I love having cream in my coffee in the morning.

I'm 1.1lb down this week which I'm happy with, so 10 stone 7lbs / 67.1kgs / 147.9lbs.

@alwaysonadiet1 It's not a school show (but they use her school theatre), she's in a youth amateur dramatics society and it's her life! She loves it! The show this week is called The Diary of Horace Wimp, based on the ELO song

The group are great. They are aged 8-18 and really talented. First night is Thursday then Friday Night, Saturday matinee and Saturday night. 👏

Im now in Oz and have already hit the wine! No way of weighing so I’m a little concerned. I’m bloated after the flight but will avoid carbs (other than alcohol, which I’ll try to limit too). And continue to drink lots and lots of water. I’m here for 3 weeks so hoping I stay pretty much the same. Won’t be easy as there’s a LOT of eating out!

I seem to be bobbing up and down the same pound or two. 3.4lb off would take me to the next stone bracket but I was only 1.2lb away earlier in the week. I haven't really changed anything but I think I'm hormonal!

Entering week 7 of our building work and although it's not been as disruptive as I thought it was going to be, I am looking forward to getting my house back in the next 2-3 weeks!

Oh crikey @finallyhere I entered my weight 151.2 then it all went #REF all over the place. I was on row 66 I think, above portas? It’s gone very wrong. No clue what I did! So sorry!!

Happy holidays to those away or going away. We’re on holiday too so I weighed myself Sunday am in anticipation. I was hoping to be another pound down but at least it was a new number ;-)

Huge thanks to @BIWI for helping me kick start a reduction in carbs and sugar and HPFs. I’ve been eating so healthily and feel better. Determined to keep it up as I’d love to lose a stone. Thanks too for all the low carb meal suggestions as figuring out meals and planning was always the biggest hurdle.

Edited to add that reading other people’s meal choices was inspirational and shout out to @prettybird here for yummy sounding meals I’ve replicated.

Hello lovely people, can't be sure what went wrong there, apologies all round, I've had to rewind time back to 9.47 am this morning so that anything updated since then will have been lost.

Not what anyone signed up for on a Monday.

Please check your own posts and re-enter your updates since then if necessary.

Anytime this happens, I find myself thinking (really quite a lot) how we could avoid it in future. Suggestions very welcome, I've almost worn out Google to try and find an alternative way of salvaging.

Apologies again. For the record, it wasn't anything g @NotDonna done, honest, as I can see that, it was something further back in time.

'S brilliant, isn't it. So enjoyable and noone (other than a fellow initiate) would ever guess that I am on any kind of weight reducing regime when I order my coffee with creme

Another pound down, 8 in total, and I'm a week behind others, so I'm happy - slow but steady. Going to keep going for another three weeks on bootcamp lite and see where I can get to. My best thing last week was going for my work- sponsored health assessment and the doctor noting that I was the lightest they'd ever seen me (which considering the first record was 2009 I was happy with)! I'm ignoring the fact that I have been lighter in between but somehow usually contrive to be fat for my health assessments!!

Couldn't be bothered to cook a lot tonight so ended up doing what I have now dubbed 'Bacon Soup' 😂 3 slices of bacon, cut up, 4 mushrooms, quartered and fried, and half a can of tomatoes, microwaved. Chuck them all together in a bowl and Voila!!! Bacon soup! Take that Jamie Oliver!! Fine dining in 10 minutes!! 😂

Just a quick pop in as just got home from show rehearsals. Bloody starving but too late to cook anything extravagant so doing a couple of sausages with mushrooms and scrambled eggs.
