Morning all.

It's all gone a bit quiet - which I'm assuming is to do with it being holiday time, rather than everyone has disappeared?!

Here's the Spreadsheet, once again

I'm cooking my slow cooker challenge today, as I have my niece and her husband coming to stay for a couple of days. I'm serving it with celeriac dauphinois and griddled sweetheart cabbage.

Any other slow cooker recipes to share?

Come and tell me how your week is going - and that includes all of you lurking at the back Grin

Getting back on the wagon post house move... had a few days where DH conveniently forgot I couldn't eat dairy or carbs and literally just bought cheese and bread whilst I was cleaning the filthy house we've moved into.

Chicken thighs roasting in the oven for tea as we speak.

Also, the water in our new house is disgusting. Better order a filter jug.

ditavonteesed · 03/09/2022 15:18

Current view, very much in the wagon.

Been feeling really poorly all week, did my bp a few times today and it's very low for me. Wondering if I'm anemic again. Going to make an appointment with gp, been tired for ages.

Popping in to report a couple of victories :) This morning i just squeaked under the next stone barrier, and last night I measured myself for the first time in ages and discovered I had lost 5cm round my waist. So am feeling quite pleased.
I’m not bootcamping as aggressively as I’ve done previously, but am pleased with how it’s going - mental health wise as much as physically.

Lunch, Italian meats, mozzarella and tomatoes, olive oil

Snacks, peanuts

Dinner,n home made chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce, sesame green beans and Asian slaw (and a couple of gin and slimlines 🙈🙈)

catwithflowers · 03/09/2022 18:35

Still on the wagon! We went out for a gorgeous lunch yesterday at a local pub. Between us we had poached egg and homemade black pudding and homemade charcuterie from local farm meat with celeriac remoulade and one slice of toasted sourdough, then pheasant with green veg and a few potatoes and lamb rump with ratatouille. Too full for pudding 😂😂

Lougle · 03/09/2022 20:58

I had a nice sausage casserole today. I made dumplings for the rest of the family. I am maintaining nicely, so that's good.

PennyPinkPineapple · 03/09/2022 21:04

For dinner I made cauliflower and broccoli cheese soup, roasted ham joint and a loaf of keto bread which I had with a wedge of butter.

It was nice but definitely needs to be toasted because the texture is quite cakey. I've sliced the rest and put it in the freezer.

I had a NSV today, I ordered a pair of joggers in the ASOS sale in my normal size and they were too big so sending them back tomorrow. I also put a pair of holiday shorts on (from July) and they are definitely looser and I can no longer put my phone in the pocket because it makes them fall down 😆

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 04/09/2022 09:34

I'm here. Stayed the same for the second week in a row but I've measured and I'm down a lot of inches so I'm just keeping on. Back at work now after summer hols so will be getting a good step count in daily now so hopefully that will tip me over and out of my plateau.

BIWI · 04/09/2022 11:11

@catwithflowers

peanuts
peanut sauce
black pudding
sourdough
a few potatoes

Just as well you're too full for pudding!

That's a fair amount of carbohydrate you've had there - definitely not Bootcamp

Oh dear I had some chicken satay skewers for lunch yesterday as I thought they were my best option.
I did manage to find the one food truck at the festival that would put the meat/ halloumi on a salad in a box on for dinner though.

BIWI · 04/09/2022 13:32

@ChimneyPot on its own, the peanut sauce will not be too bad. I was just pointing out how all the 'little things' can quickly add up to a lot of carbs!

I'm still with you all, but going on holiday next week so have been terribly busy trying to get everything done before we go.

I've been enjoying experimenting with my slow cooker: hungarian beef stew, sausage casserole. But today... OMG a whole duck. Onion, carrot, garlic, rosemary, bay leaf in the bottom. Duck on top. All the fat has oozed out of the duck, sort of confit-ing everything and it is so delicious and tender and amazing and fabulous and incredible.... dh isn't home for another 2 hours and I can't wait to eat it. (just been 'sampling' so far).

We're off in our campervan to the outer hebrides for the next couple of weeks. I'll pop in to the threads when the signal allows. I'm taking cheese and almond muffins, sausage casserole, and lots of lovely delicious duck...

catwithflowers · 04/09/2022 18:13

@BIWI. I know 🙈. But it was a one off lunch out and I'm trying to maintain not lose. Still, no wonder I'm out of ketosis and a pound up 😳.

The bread was half a very thin slice of sourdough but really I have no excuses other than I had been very on board for the whole of boot camp apart from one olive bread roll and a home grown potato!

Back on track today with bells on! FF Greek yoghurt, mozzarella, tomato, olives and Parma ham and good local sausages, green beans and courgette fried in olive oil. Plus a bit of aioli.

catwithflowers · 04/09/2022 18:19

BIWI I would question the black pudding though. It was home made by a kitchen that uses local farm produce. You could taste the difference. I've had good black pud from supermarkets before and checked the carbs and this was very different, much richer and meatier, lots of fat running through it. Totally delicious whatever the carb value but I suspect it might be okay as a one off 😊

CleanQueen123 · 05/09/2022 07:53

2lbs down this morning. Slowly coming off!

BIWI · 05/09/2022 08:04

@catwithflowers I'm sure the black pudding was delicious! And all the better for being home-made. But as key ingredients to make it are oatmeal, flour and (sometimes) barley, it's usually around 17-18g carbs per 100g, so not exactly low carb!

Lougle · 05/09/2022 08:10

I'm 0.4lb up today. Bobbing along, though. Overall 1lb down from start of bootcamp, so I think I'm eating about my maintenance calories.

comfortablyfrumpy · 05/09/2022 08:15

I have a loss! Half a lb but a) I plateaued recently and b) I suspect next stone will be harder.

Koko my friends :)
