As ever, here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

We're now in the last three weeks. It might not seem that there's much time left, but there's still a chance to lose as much as half a stone if you're really disciplined!

Hopefully you've all settled into low carbing by now. People have been posting some really great recipes, which should not only be appetising, but also persuading us all that low carbing is a joyful and satisfying way of eating for all the family.

One of the things that always thrills me - genuinely - is how many other benefits (beyond weight loss) there are from low carbing. For me, it was the sudden absence of my IBS. What about you? How have you found that low carbing is helping your general health?

Next week's challenge is a bit of throwing down the gauntlet - all those of you who are lurking! Post something about how you're feeling about low carbing/Bootcamp. Anything! Smile

I hope you all have a good week Flowers

I was going to get the Big Stick out there @SpottyBumPony but you really know how to wriggle out of it, don't you? It will be kittens next.

Hello! Just popping in! Not really joining the "bootcamp" as such however will be starting by myself next week. Am reading up through the threads for inspiration and ideas.

I have bootcamped before but have many name changes and am bumbling at about the same amount of weight.... which is lots to lose! I still don't fit in the dress I was aiming for lol 😆

ZiggZagg · 26/02/2022 18:47

Just popping in to say hi!

After getting over Covid, I've then contracted Norovirus. These lockdowns have completely destroyed my immune system!

I've hardly eaten in the last 7 days and when I have.... (well, you can guess!) but yesterday and today the appetite has returned so I have tried to make positive food choices to continue the weight loss that Noro has given me Wink

Im still feeling unwell and have not gone to my cousins wedding tonight because I'm to ill (which is a first for me as I love parties and have massive FOMO!)

Hoping to get more involved now until end of bootcamp!

OMG @ZiggZagg! That's awful. Hopefully you're well on the mend now Flowers

Goodness, @ZiggZagg that does sound like a lot to cope with. I hope you start to feel better soon.

good morning all, think its time for me to stop lurking in the shadows and unload a heap of dietary baggage on you poor folk.
already posted my weight as I had to see it this morning and happily i'm doing better than the gin based disaster of last weekend.

Lockdown did some real damage to me I worked all the way through as a key worker and used carbs, snacking and booze to numb the hard parts of life and it just sort of became the norm.

My goal is to eat this way for most of the year and try and repeat the success I had about 5 years ago Sad sadly a memory now, so I will join in on bootcamp when it happens and trudge along in-between. My planned scheduled is an easy week at easter, couple of weeks in the summer and one in autumn break - will have some alcohol and take DW out for a good dinner somewhere nice, ice cream at the seaside Grin .

This way of eating works well for me keeps me away from the snacking with a strict regime of planned meals, my goto snack is a bit of cheese and butter with a smear of marmite and when coming home from work I have a spoonful of peanut butter (20grams ish) and fizzy water with a slice of lime for an evening drink.

Hello @Pisseslikeahorse! Welcome back Smile

Sorry to hear about your lockdown woes. I think a lot of us can identify with that, even if we weren't key workers.

I've got a big shop coming tomorrow and hoping to prep a few bits for the week ahead! Excited to get started!

Must work on veggie sides.

So will be aiming for

Breakfast- egg muffin type thing
Lunch -salad with avocado and meat/fish plus oil based dressing
Dinner - moussaka from the recipe thread, and cheeseburger pie later in the week. With veggies.

Lots of water....

Well we had the Lidl roast sirloin I mentioned upthread for Sunday dinner and it was easily the nicest roast beef I've ever had but at £28 for a big joint of beef it was definitely a one-off. We usually have a £3.49 Lidl roast chicken for our Sunday dinner. Still, nice to see how the other half lives! The fat was all yellow and tasty so it was definitely a high quality joint. Lovely!

I'm going to start next week's chat thread now, as I'm not feeling too great. Not Covid! And 'just' a cold. But I can't remember the last time I had a cold. So I'm feeling sorry for myself. Mainly I can't seem to get warm, so I'm going to take myself off to bed.

Will post the link to the new thread shortly.
