Morning all. Bit of a late start for me, I'm sorry. I'm working for myself now and don't have to go into the office, so decided to allow myself a lie-in this morning Smile

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Although this has been a very quiet Bootcamp a) there have been some really good results and b) I suspect a lot of people lurk rather than post

Hopefully the next two weeks will be successful too, although they're not going to be easy weeks, as Christmas is ramping up in a major way!

Glad you got chance to slob out for a bit and recover @Littleorangetree. Hope today has gone better for you. I've done some slabbing out of my own today.

I've been feeling a bit under the weather, I had an awful night's sleep and look pale and feel headachy and shivery like I'm coming down with something. So had a nice day in my pyjamas doing absolutely nothing at home.

DH has walked the dog, made me a lovely smoked haddock/spring onion/spinach/scrambled egg/mozzarella mash up this morning and he's now in the kitchen cooking roast chicken. DD has been out at a friends too. Bliss! Peace and quiet, bad tv and nice food (cooked for me) is just what I needed.

I'll have my chicken with sprouts and loads of butter.

Can't believe we've managed 9 weeks of bootcamp. It's flown! Good luck for weigh-in in the morning everyone.

Hi all, had a name change and been struggling this bootcamp so I have dropped off the spreadsheet but am still following.

I wanted to ask: having done lchf since bootcamp in May this year, I have had the odd Carby thing: a slice of cake on a birthday, a bowl of porridge when I was ill. However I have really avoided bread.

Last week I took my austic teen on a day out and for various reasons we had to eat breakfast and lunch in the train station. There was only an "upper crust" which literally only sells baguettes and croissants and cake. I had croissant for breakfast and a cheese and tomato baguette for lunch (it was not very nice, either). At the event we went to they were giving out chocolates and I had 5 or 6, it by now being a "fuck it" day.

That evening I was uncomfortably bloated and farting like a sailor!

The next morning I woke up with what I can only describe as a hangover - headache, nausea, bit of an upset stomach. It gradually cleared during the day. It felt very like a milder version of the "carb flu" I had when I started this woe.

My question is, can you get carb flu when you have carbs as well as when you reduce them?
My dsis is coeliac and my other wonder is whether I maybe have a bit of gluten sensitivity that has been triggered...

BIWI · 16/12/2018 17:43

I don't think it's carb flu, but it could possibly indicate sensitivity to wheat or gluten or dairy or sugar!

I over-indulged once in some sugary sweets (long car journey back from France and was having a 'fuckit' moment Blush) and it gave me the most terrible diarrhoea. I had no idea sugar could do that to you!

So it sounds like it could be a combination of all of those things.

Sorry you've had a bad time and hope you're feeling better soon Flowers

Floating I feel like that when I eat wheat now. If isn't necessarily gluten intolerance, you can just be wheat intolerant (which would mean the oatmeal was okay because it contains gluten but not wheat). I'm okay with the small amount of flour in a piece of cake but not with bread or pasta.

Not quite so early bird today, as my 7am yoga is finished for Christmas, so doing a 9am Pilates class instead.

A 2.8lbs loss on the scales for me this morning, so 2st 1.9lbs off this bootcamp.

Only another 101lbs to go Grin
