Good morning all, for the final Monday of this Bootcamp.

Here's the spreadsheet for its last outing!

I hope very much that the last ten weeks have been successful for everyone - whether that's on the scales, seeing your clothes fit better, better health and general enjoyment of your food!

I'll keep this chat thread going, and when it's full, will start another one until we start the next Bootcamp, which will start in mid-October.

Great result Laska!

Rayna37 · 24/08/2018 13:45

Now equalling my lowest post baby weight reached a couple of months ago and have done well so far dodging extra non-BC nibbles, but it is hard especially when it's BC light or savoury stuff that's not too bad but not conducive to weight loss!

Yesterday pretty similar to the day before but I'll keep posting as it's helping me and the newbies might like the ideas!
B: 2 egg cheese and mushroom omelette
L: Greek salad: feta, olives, avocado, spinach, radishes, cucumber and tomato with olive oil and ACV dressing. Yogurt with a dollop of almond butter.
D: pan-fried sea bass with buttery broccoli, and sautéed kale and courgette.

Laska5772 · 24/08/2018 13:56

I have bought Mussels for dinner...

Moules !Yum!! I am making mayo ( but really would like some Frites to go with them.. I may have a few ,.. if I do , it would be my first potato since about February )

Laska5772 · 24/08/2018 19:53

I ate six small chips,- yup, really, just six-.with my moules and garlic mayo. They were yum but not as yum as I imagined they would be after all this time . I hadn't eaten any carbs at all today before those six chips and only what was in the moules ( a bit of shallot and some fresh tomato ) plus some Wine to cook them in another glass with dinner (and ill be having a couple of glasses more wine this evening)

so that's it for my Friday night 'carb fest' .. Ill be interested to look at a scales in the morning ..

StuntNun · 25/08/2018 07:45

Laska once you've broken the carb addiction then a lot of foods become less appealing because you're no longer getting that dopamine rush in the reward centre of the brain. I ate a bit of DS2's KitKat the other day and it was so horribly sweet I couldn't even finish a small piece. I'm sure I used to love them years ago.

3stonedown · 25/08/2018 08:24

I agree stuntnun I had some white chocolate yesterday and it was awful. I used to eat giant bunnies of white chocolate! I decided not to weigh in today as went to a wedding yesterday and I don't want to see how bad it was! Just thought I'd share my transformation. I went to a wedding the same day last year at my biggest weight so it's about 4.5stone difference

Wow @3stonedown, that's some transformation! You look absolutely gorgeous!

prettybird · 25/08/2018 09:17

Fabulous 3stonedown - you'll need to change your name! Grin

Did you get many comments? Shock And if not, why not? ConfusedWink

boldlygoingsomewhere · 25/08/2018 10:14

Amazing 3stonedown! You look fantastic - well done.

Laska5772 · 25/08/2018 15:25

3stonedown thats realy fantastic.

Yes I and had a bit of a 'bloated' feeling tummy after only those few chips. but scales were the same this morning, and having scratched the itch I realised that they just weren't worth the bother. I really dont think ill be in a rush to eat any more chips..

Today we are having a spicy mince thing that I made the other day and froze ( a sort of no bean chilli) we will eat it like tacos with sour cream, avocado and cheese. DH will have tortilla wraps and ill' eat mine as a layered dish with shredded lettuce or wrap some in lettuce leaves if it isnt too messy to eat that way .

Rayna37 · 25/08/2018 16:55

3stonedown just fabulous!

Laska I really fancy your dinner now!

Yesterday not really off plan but about half a bottle of red with my lamb and aubergine tagine served with cauli rice. I also made Savoy cabbage carbonara for lunch which while BC approved isn't the lightest of lunches. All leading to small increase this morning.

This morning we had a full Welsh breakfast at a wonderful farm shop on the way back from a parkrun and I did have one of the two slices of bread and a few beans, neither of which were worth it really. Duck breast planned for tonight, trying to empty the freezer! Will try to resist any wine.

Monkeymama1 · 25/08/2018 20:15

Wowzer 3stonedown you have done sensationally well! True inspo! Was this by low carbing alone? Can I ask you if you ever have wine or other booze? I have a big family bbq tomorrow and just know I'm going to end up on the fizz

Rshard · 25/08/2018 20:19

You look beautiful 3stonedown!

BlackMozart · 25/08/2018 21:19

Fantastic transformation 3stonedown!

3stonedown · 26/08/2018 06:26

Thanks all! Yes lots of compliments which was nice as I used to get "you look happy" a lot at family events.
@monkeymama1 mid sept-april I wasn't really low carb although I reduced my carb intake a lot so was having one meal carby (bread, potatoes or rice) a day. Been low carb since the May Boot camp. I'm afraid I don't drink at all, not for diet reasons, I stopped 5 years ago.

ilovecherries · 26/08/2018 10:15

You look fabulous, 3stone.

My NSV was I took DD to Menorca yesterday to convalesce after her recent surgery, before she goes back to uni. I never quite needed a seat belt extension (although it was close!) but yesterday I had nearly two feet of spare belt. And the drop down table didn’t come near my belly. Plus I had plenty space for a magazine. #itsadifferentlifethesedsys :)

prettybird · 26/08/2018 10:35

Brilliant ilovecherries Smile Have a great time. You (and your dd) deserve it.

I love your bracelets! Very stylish. I presume you've got some lovely red lipstick with you to complete the glamorous look! Wink

ajandjjmum · 26/08/2018 10:55

Enjoy Menorca ilovecherries!

Is anyone else finding it much harder to drink so much water now that the weather's turned colder?

prettybird · 26/08/2018 10:57

Yes - and I've seen my weight fluctuate upwards as a result Sad

Am really having to nag myself to drink enough water Blush

Waswittyonce · 26/08/2018 11:51

@3stonedown wow! You look fabulous! (You looked beautiful before as well btw)
I'm deep in smug mode today as have just been clothes shopping. At the beginning of this year I was buying size 16 going on 18, have come away with a lovely size 14 top in the sale which is verging on being too big!SmileSmile

ilovecherries · 26/08/2018 11:53

Plummy pink yesterday, pretty.Grin. But I have red with me!

Justmuddlingalong · 26/08/2018 20:50

We had pork belly tonight with cabbage and cream cheese bake to go with it. It was a doddle to make and sooo tasty and filling. Will definitely be cooking cabbage like that in future. Delicious. 😋

MrsCoyote · 27/08/2018 11:26

Just checking in. Holidays are more difficult than school year, no routine and lots of travelling, trips and irregularrities.
So I suppose STS it good thing :-)

Ilove - congrats!
3stone - terrific!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 28/08/2018 11:11

Have a lovely time in Menorca, ilove!

Just checking in post Bank Holiday weekend. NSV victories: I abstained from all offers of cake/pudding/biscuits and adapted meals to be lower carb and this morning I fit comfortably back in my smaller size trousers.

3stonedown · 28/08/2018 11:17

Great NSV Cherries

Had the pork belly and chorizo casserole last night. I did it in the slow cooker because I'm lazy and it was crap so don't recommend doing it that way.
