Morning all. Flowers

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for almost the last time

One final week, and then next week will the last official weigh-in of this Bootcamp.

Hope it's all going well, and that this final week can see a few more pesky pounds vanquished Grin

I'm back on track...2 good days food wise and I've opted out of the 'bring and share' lunch at work tomorrow as I know it will be full of disastrous food choices. I'm definitely planning on keeping going at the end of bootcamp so hoping a fair few people will keep posting as it definitely helps with motivation.

Thing101 · 17/07/2018 19:00

Oooh, a challenge you say?! How exciting!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 17/07/2018 19:58

BIWI, I’ve no doubt you’ve been telling people about it. Grin

I’ve joined very late so have missed your words of wisdom.

Rshard · 17/07/2018 20:41

I’m up for a challenge too!

Rayna37 · 18/07/2018 06:27

Post holiday weigh in yesterday saw a gain of just under 5lbs in slightly less than a fortnight which is pretty bad but not unexpected or undeserved. Annoyingly this took me to my average weight from April but it's not that I've undone 3 months of dieting as I know short-term gain is usually quick to lose, and as expected 2lbs of this had gone by this morning. I'm back at just under 9 stone (125.8lbs) with my old, now interim goal of 120 to hit next (lowest this bootcamp and post baby has been 122.8lbs) then on to new target of 115.

Yesterday I ate:
Brunch of a can of sardines picante, 2 slices Maasdam cheese, 2 boiled eggs with butter, 3 cherry toms
Dinner: Salmon with buttery kale and courgette gratin (baby courgettes, creme fraiche, mustard and strong grated cheddar) plus one coffee with cream, one tea with milk, plenty of water and half of a 25g bar of 85% chocolate.

No exercise since parkrun the day before my holiday (we'll not talk about my first trip on my bike for 2 years while on holiday, involving a spectacular tumble) so will get out for a run this afternoon. I have a 5 mile trail race two weeks today!

m0therofdragons · 18/07/2018 07:48

What classes as a "whoosh"?

Stayed the same this Monday as previous one but I'm a daily weigher and I'm now showing 3lbs off this morning. Definitely good motivation not to go crazy and stick to the plan. I'm officially not "overweight" this morning and skipped 10 10 to go straight to 10 9. Would love that to stick for the week and not creep up. 🤞

Twoo · 18/07/2018 08:25

That’s a great loss mother’ :)

Nan0second · 18/07/2018 09:33

Lots of people showing great steady progress. I love this aspect of bootcamp :)
Good luck on post holiday recovery Rayna37

I had a rubbish day yesterday and foolishly ate a toasted bagel with jam. Admittedly it tasted divine, but brought me out in an itchy rash that evening. It’s either the bread or the jam. So there’s a sign not to eat them, bootcamp or not.

But, I put my jeans on this morning and my arse looked good. My Best Bra looks v good indeed and I have collar bones.

The only think I really miss on this WOE is fruit, and admittedly I’ve had watermelon when it’s been really hot.

Not going to start eating carbs again in between now and next bootcamp.Smile

m0therofdragons · 18/07/2018 10:19

This has been the nicest weightloss group on mumsnet ever! You guys are fab.

It felt like an impossible task. I knew I was gaining every year and in denial but my clothes became unwearable and that made me rethink what I've been eating and my negative attitude to food. Getting to 10 stone feels achievable and maybe even slightly under. May need to up my exercise for that though.

Dh is also happy as he's lost weight without trying, just by eating what I make.

itchyknees · 18/07/2018 10:24

It’s lovely isn’t it Mother?

I’m dealing with some shite in my life at the moment and I’ve had a couple of moments this morning where it all felt overwhelming and that nothing would ever go right again ever ever.Sad But, I remembered I had done this and how far I’ve come in 8 weeks and it’s given me a bit of perspective and I’m calming down and I think it might be ok.

For the first time in a lifetime of yo yo dieting, this feels like self care. Smile

Finallymorethananumber · 18/07/2018 11:24

Morning folks!

Great news on the job m0therofdragons! And even better with your whoosh.

All you guys are fab with the support. It's lovely reading and I actively come to this thead before anywhere else.

Not so great for me this week, 2lbs on which puts me at under a stone loss. A bit disheartening but then I remember everyone everyone has said about loss not being linear and I know it will come off and stay off in the end.

I am doing a lot more exercise approx. 45 miles of stuff I have tracked this month so far and have started c25k. I think it will take me longer than the 9 weeks but as long as I don't quit I will be happy.

I know I need to increase my water intake. 3/3.5 litres I can do but that last litre/half litre seems impossible.

I have the 6 weeks of summer (I work on a school) to really crack on with this. I just need some self-belief.

Have a great day!

clare8allthepies · 18/07/2018 11:31

Hope things are better soon itchyknees Flowers

I’ve managed to drop 2 pounds in 2 days but I know it’s because my 4 year old having a horrible tummy bug has got me so anxious that I’ve barely eaten since Monday morning. I thinks she’s over the worst of it now though so hopefully will be back to normal.

ilovecherries · 18/07/2018 11:40

Congratulations , dragon. Smile

prettybird · 18/07/2018 11:51

Just to clarify: like everything on Boot Camp, any "challenges" between Boot Camps will be personal ones: whether it is to complete C25K or hit a particular target.

I think that we called it something like Super September and shared our mini goals.

devoncreamtea · 18/07/2018 13:15

Well done mother on your promotion! And being outside of the overweight category - great stuff. I echo what you said about the thread, it is so helpful, even for someone like me that reads more than posts.
I am looking forward to October boot camp too. I have been following along this time, but want to be a bit more present next time - I have been having a bit of a stressful year, but things looking up now. As others have said this woe does seem to support good mental health as well as physical health. Having left my PhD at the beginning of the year, I am now off to do a pgce in September - I am really looking forward to it even though I know it will be hard work. I am 40 in just over a year and so have a goal to get to a good weight and good health by then. I am hoping for 8 1/2 stone - but haven't seen that since I had my second child so perhaps 9 might be the more realistic version Hmm Anyway, I am heartened and enthused by everyone's efforts this bc Flowers

BlackMozart · 18/07/2018 19:26

Well done mother and all those making progress fast or slow. I’m not in a good place right now hence not posting but I have been reading all the threads and you are as ever inspiring. No doubt I’ll be back in October as well and I will stay connected until that starts but I’m not going to lower the general optimistic mood with my self pitying nonsense 😀☹️😀

m0therofdragons · 18/07/2018 19:54

I knew it wouldn't last. Hold off on the congrats for now. Boss has said HR has told her off and she has to offer role to entire dept who are on the same grade as me even though she wants me due to the work I've done over the last 6 months going above and beyond. Now I have to go through interviews. It's shit as I'd organised childcare as it was all agreed and hours signed off! It's all a big mess. Boss is lovely but clueless re HR procedures.

BlackMozart · 18/07/2018 20:02

Stay positive mother as if she wants you then hopefully you will still get the job at the end of it. And you’ll also know you were better than the rest too.

Rshard · 19/07/2018 06:51

Definitely stay positive m0ther, sure it will work out.

Been thinking about personal challenges since prettybird mentioned and I’m going to log my daily food on here and also be more present on the thread. From today until I go on holiday at the end of August.

Laska5772 · 19/07/2018 07:27

Im keen to join any 'challange' or 'keep on it' thread. as I want to lose another stone to get to (possibly interim) goal and seeing what others are doing is really motivating for me...

It would be so great to start October bootcamp at 10st 3 rather than 12st 3 as I was at the start of this one !

One of the best things for me is that my bras fit again..! and the tops of my arms much slimmer

m0therofdragons · 19/07/2018 07:43

Thank you all. I guess there's always a catch! I'll just focus on everything else Grin

3stonedown · 19/07/2018 08:07

Good luck with the interview process M0ther, I'm sure it's likely you'll get it anyway as she obviously wants you.

Woke up this morning and knocked 1lb off so takes my bootcamp total to 21lb. Hope that sticks for the final weigh in.

MrsBertBibby · 19/07/2018 08:49

Well done 3stone.

Mother, I doubt you need good luck, but good luck anyway.

Today, I shall be mostly wearing

1 size 16 work trews I have not been able to even do up let alone wear in public without outpacing public decency in over a year

2 a size 14 work jacket which actually looks fine done up. I remember buying it many years ago in HofF sale and actually crying a little happy cry in the changing room because I was buying size 14 for the first time in years.

Sadly I fear my birthday celebrations will slightly bugger things up, but I shall be having them wearing .....

Dun dun dun

The dress I wore for my 40th 10 years ago. Astonishing.

Thing101 · 19/07/2018 08:57

Wow MrsBert, that's great about the dress. I haven't really kept older non fitting things as I'm a chucker outer. I'm going shopping with my Mum this weekend as have clothing vouchers from my birthday months ago that I didn't want to spend on clothes as I was so miserable with how I looked.

I will think of a challenge. My current one is to stop my right boob losing the weight and let the left boob catch up with it!!
